Trinitas Mundus - The Story of Saint Knight Ray
Lesson 36: Victims of the Puppet
The Rays heard Lloyd had detained Kirsty's party members and headed to Randall's room.
Despite the early morning in his room, his men's commanders had already gathered. But he doesn't look like Raspade, who's supposed to be his advisor.
Ray wanted to go interrogate Kirsty's party members, even soon, but from the standpoint of being a military teacher, he needed to pretend he could afford it and couldn't bring it up.
(Everyone's getting together early in the morning, too. Besides, the defense plan has to hurry... but I want information on the puppets as soon as possible...)
As soon as the Rays went in to greet them, the military debate began and Randall explained the current situation.
"You've come a lot. Quick, but I'm arranging for the current trap, but progress is pretty slow. I'm having a hard time getting people together. This is a tough situation to install by the time the enemy arrives..."
As for the installation of the trap, the residents plan to do it, but they are not able to calculate the manpower pool well. Many residents were evacuating, and additional personnel were needed to reinforce the defense facilities, creating confusion on the ground.
"How many troops will remain in that, but to be honest, the number of adventurers that will remain even if we talk about traps will be about half. In the present situation, the details of the trap have to lay low. If that happens, a third or a thousand people will stay..."
Randall had decided to make an urgent request as a guild about the defense of the city. But even though he knew he was going to be penalized, he thought there would be an escaping adventurer. Are the commanders thinking the same thing, snorting at his words?
Ray is shocked by the word, but acts to loosen his expression so he can afford it.
"A thousand people stay is enough. The large number of people in this operation is not a problem. Instead, the success rate is higher without those who cannot heed orders."
And looking at Ashley,
"This was also the case in Millis Valley. Nothing is stronger than a prepared soldier. Right, Ash?
Ashley, suddenly told the story, is a little confused but notices his thoughts and laughs niggly.
"Exactly. Even though the Mercenary Corps of Markat (of which) was at its core, the Knights of the Springs and the Prostitutes were less skilled at that time. Still, those two hundred men beat three thousand orcs. If there are a thousand prepared manoeuvres, even a few times as many enemies can fight enough. Well, if there's a Ray trap, you don't have to be so pessimistic."
Ashley confidently affirms as she touches her vermilion armor, Van Blaze.
(Ash is also attached to my act. If this can allay everyone's anxiety at all......)
"More than that, I hear you found an enemy snitchy figure. I asked Mr. Lloyd in the Intelligence Division. What are you going to do with them?
Ray started talking about demonic puppets somewhat forcefully to change the subject.
The commanders heard from Randall, too. There was no upset.
"I haven't started interrogating them yet, but Professor Raspade is happily on his way to them. I don't know much about scholars. It's race."
Everyone's expression looses to words that contain Randall's bitter laughter.
"I'm going to be present for questioning too, but worst of all, it could put their lives at risk"
Randall is surprised by Ray's words.
"You think you're putting your life in danger? You mean you can hang him for torture?
Ray hears of torture and shakes his head to the side in a hurry.
"Yes, no! I don't mean that. I think we're going to disarm Dr. Raspade and the demonic puppet technique, which means that there may be dangers involved in doing so. I don't even know what magic this magic is, so what effect it has on my body and spirit when I try to disarm it..."
Randall nods at his words.
"If the puppet technique is hanging, I will allow it, but not in circumstances where the existence of the technique is unknown. They're one of us. I hope you understand that."
Ray nods and changes the subject again.
"It's about the Peasant Militia of the Light Divinity, but I'm going to turn to reinforcing defense facilities and installing traps"
"That helps. Now I want to borrow your cat's hand. Say anything you need."
Ray nodded small and made suggestions to improve the treatment of the peasant militias.
"Now feed and clothe the peasant militias. Especially since clothes don't stand this cold."
"Fine. Buy unwanted clothes from evacuees. That's all right."
Ray thanked Randall and left Randall's office.
He visited Lloyd in the Intelligence Division and headed to the conference room where he was securing the identity of Kirsty's party members.
Guided to a room with no windows behind the ground floor.
"I'm throwing four people together here. Professor Raspade should be inside with the staff of the Intelligence Division..."
Once inside, four human men, in their mid- to late twenties or so, are disarmed and seated in a chair.
They complain orally that they are not convinced that they will be questioned, but Raspade did not show interest in the words and was listening to interrogations by officials of the Intelligence Division.
"... that means that you haven't seen any traces of the aug... and that's how these stories came from Doctus researchers. I'm talking about demons being able to manipulate people, but can I check on you guys?"
One tenacious man, like a swordsman, disproves by stripping his teeth out.
"We didn't do anything suspicious! Didn't you just go scouting at the request of the Alliance! That's what the Demons do!
Officials don't feel comfortable, so they talk calmly.
"If there's nothing, you can let me look into it. What, I'm not checking the orb. Hey, he just wants me to show him my body."
The men still scream at each other, but stand up to intimidate the officials as they approach.
"Being defiant doesn't mean I can't help being told I'm a devil's man. I don't even want to imitate it. What, the teacher says it'll be over soon. No pain, soon."
The men reluctantly sit in chairs at the words of the officials.
And then I say, "Then let me fix you so you don't move your body," and I tie the four of you up in a chair.
While the four were being taken lightly, officials told Raspade, "Okay, Doctor. Nice to meet you," he said, bowing his head.
Raspade nods small at the staff and stands behind the skinny man.
"Arklight, can you help me, too? I've come up with an easy way."
Ray wondered what way it was, and asked, "What way is it?," he asked, standing beside Raspade.
Raspade took out the magic props of the lights,
"This is just a little hand on the magic props of the lights. It did not completely change the power of the Spirit into light, but it rewrote the magic formations to keep some of it intact."
When you look at Ray for not knowing,
"The Spirit of Light and the Spirit of Darkness will extinguish each other's power. If the power of the Spirit of Darkness is in their bodies, the way it shines should change. It's supposed to be dark in the place where it was overthrown."
I see, when Ray nodded, Raspade had told him to make original magic.
"Arklight, I wonder if you could magically reproduce what I just said. Why don't you give it a try?"
Ray wishes he had magic props, but as he was told, he activates the magic of light without chanting.
(Spirits of Light, if you have the power of the Spirit of Darkness, I want you to tell me that. Tell me where it is...)
A pale golden light leaks from his left hand. Raspade instructs officials to turn off the lights in the room.
When the room darkens, it looks good that the golden light leaking out of Ray's hand wraps up four men.
When the four of them were completely wrapped in light, the light slowly changed and the brightness became darker and lighter. Only on their backs, around the back of their hearts, was the light weak, hung by a sprawling black sumptuous.
After about ten seconds, the light stabilizes. And the light full of the room, funneled and sucked into their backs.
"Mr. Arklight, that's enough."
Ray stops the magic in Raspade's words.
At that moment, the room was enveloped in darkness, but officials returned to its original brightness by putting on demonic props of lighting.
The four adventurers don't know what happened on their backs and are worried about how to react.
Raspade signaled the officials with his eyes,
"All four seem to be affected by the magic of darkness. Treatment must be given. Hold me tight so I don't get slammed."
The four of them had been taken lightly, but they said to each other, "Now you know! It's wet!" he exclaims.
Raspade ignores them and calls out to Ray, who shudders.
"Damn, you're really funny. Because I say, it reproduces nasty magic... kukuku... really funny. How about you think again about being my assistant?"
Ray said, "What does that mean?," he murmurs, "but with Raspade's normal lighting of the magic prop in his hand, he finally understood what had been done.
"Perhaps the magic artifact has not been modified..."
"Exactly. Light props are inexpensive and everywhere, but for that matter, they are very complete. Conversely, it is very difficult to modify what I have said. I can't easily make such magic tools."
He is told that with a face like a successful prank, and he is disappointed and powerless.
(embedded by the teacher? Well, there's no problem because there's no real harm... it's certainly an effective means, but what would you have done if I couldn't reproduce it?
"What were you going to do if you couldn't reproduce your teacher's thoughts to me?
"Right. You might have had the light attribute magic punched directly into your body. Because that would have caused some kind of reaction, just like now."
(Isn't that dangerous? Let's not ask any more......)
Ray shook his neck small and sideways, "So, what are you going to do with these people?" I ask.
"If you interrogate poorly, you can't kill yourself, so you'll have to unzip the puppet's magic first. If one or two people can die, you can interrogate them, but it's not always easy to disarm the magic, and you should leave many subjects behind."
"Can teachers disarm puppet magic?
After Raspade confidently says, "Of course, I can't do it," he gives a strange look, "You're up to it, aren't you?"
(I knew it... but you're thinking about how...)
Even during that interaction, the four adventurers were desperately trying to get out of the rope as they aroused.
Raspade, who saw it, suggested hanging magic on Ray in order to quiet them down.
"Looks like you should let him sleep with the magic of sleep. I can't use the magic of sleep, but you can, right? If you need a spell, let me know."
When Ray gets here, he shakes his neck vertically, trying to get through to the end.
Raspade had taught Ray the magical spell of sleep without seeing the magic book.
Ray, who was taught the spell, immediately activated the magic.
"Night and peace, God of darkness (Noctis). Give me a mist of peace, a cloud of sleep. I will not give you the power of my life at that price. Sleep in peace with my enemies. Sleep Cloud"
His chanted grey fog wraps the bodies of the four.
The four of them tried to escape the fog, but could not escape in a chair restraint, and were completely covered in fog.
When the fog cleared in about thirty seconds, there was a figure of four men sleeping to bring to the chair.
"You really are a genius. I only know one genius like you."
Ray was calmly thinking about the magic of the moment as Raspade praised him.
(We're talking about dark attribute magic works for the spirit, but it works pretty well. I don't know how much range there is, but it would be troublesome if the Demons could use this. You might want to check to see how capable you are)
He asked Raspade about the cloud of sleep (Sleep Cloud). The answer from Raspade is:
"According to the literature, a high-ranking dark attribute magician can fly about twenty meters. Of course, we need favorable conditions like no wind."
"But when it comes to being magically put to sleep so easily, aren't some of you, even high-level adventurers, dangerous?
Raspade laughed at the creep,
"Because you're so capable this time, it's working so easily. Normally, it shouldn't mean all four of them fall asleep without being able to resist."
In Raspade's description, he is individually resistant when it comes to spiritual magic, and is generally more resistant to those with higher levels. However, with regard to dark attribute magic, the number of high-level users is low, and research is not very advanced.
