Before 8am on December 16th.

Ray left the room behind when he unraveled the magic of Kirsty's party members, who had been made puppet "Kuchi" by the Demon Clan, and finished his interrogation.

I was feeling a little tired, but just then, I heard the 8: 00 a.m. bell.

The sound of the bell reminds me of Luke's peasant militias and hurries out of Alliance headquarters.

When Ray left headquarters with Ashley and Stella, there were all the peasant militias there. Slightly distorted formation, but for once it looks aligned like an army.

The people on the road are laughing at their crude gear, but the peasant militias didn't care at all. Because they were seen with the same eyes at the beginning of their journey, they were accustomed to such gaze.

When Ray stood before them, it was hard to say it was all in unison, but everyone took one knee to pay tribute to him.

Angus, the person responsible, shouts out loud.

"Dear Arklight! Two hundred and two Fiskal Village dispatchers, all of them! Your orders!

It can never be described as an army-like report, but I still put all the sincerity I could into them.

Ray was ashamed of the response and said, "Everybody, stand up! scream." And when they all stood up, they explained their work.

"Beginning today, you will be asked to help strengthen the city's defense facilities. Today it is the strengthening of the outer walls and the construction of the observation deck. We are working on the east side of the North District, so give the person in charge of the site the details of the work…"

(He doesn't seem to have any real combat experience, and since he seems to be full of peasants, he'd be better at working on things like digging holes and reinforcing buildings. Besides, there's not much danger, and if it's to the extent of helping the city people, it won't bother them)

When he saw the equipment of the peasant militias, he thought they could not stand the battle in action and decided to use it to build defensive facilities and set up traps. But I don't really expect civil engineering to help with the small-bodied bodies of the peasant militia.

He takes the lead in the peasant militias and leads them to today's work site.

In the eastern part of the northern district, work had begun on the reinforcement of the exterior walls and the construction of the observation deck.

Ray met the site manager and asked the peasant militias to assign him the job.

The site manager looked at the frivolous peasant militia and shook his head with a slight bitter laugh, but immediately began to explain the work.

"Strike a cross tree on the outer wall. Then paint me the dirt that's here. The soil doesn't need to be painted clean, but don't make leftovers..."

At the behest of the site manager, the peasant militiamen are scattered throughout the workplace.

While Ray is anxious, he bows his head to the person responsible.

"Excuse me, thank you. If anything goes wrong, call me. Please."

The person responsible was gently raising his hand and responding to it.

Back from the North End to General Headquarters, Lloyd was waiting at the entrance.

"There were still no hookers. But Kirsty and the other woman have secured it. Anything was spreading rumors in the South End."

Ray was concerned about the rumor and asked, "What rumor is it?" I ask.

Lloyd lurked his voice a little,

"Anything tells me Guild HQ is inside with the Demons, and in exchange for their own safety, they're going to hand over Periclitle or something. Calm down, it's a low story, but quite a few of them seem to be listening to it."

Ray was surprised that the Demons would use their hands.

(I didn't know it was even going to come to information manipulation... that's a lot to talk about, but if you make up a little evidence, you'll all believe it. A lot of people are nervous now, so the more I believe in this kind of bad info... I'm not talking about traps, as it is. We need to do something...)

He hurried to Randall's room.

Randall, who had already listened to Lloyd, was waiting for him with a look like he had chewed up a bitter bug.

"What am I supposed to do? Explain that Kirsty is one of the Devil's men and your doubts about HQ will be clear. But if you publicly declare that the Devil's Hand is in there, there will be a suspicious demon among the city's people. That's why if you arch your hands without doing anything, you might lose the credibility of headquarters..."

When Randall distorted his face to distress and said so, Ray affirmed in a bright voice that there was a way to open it.

"You don't have to be so pessimistic. The point is, I just need the guild to be trusted. All you have to do is show that the dignitaries at headquarters won't get away."

Randall didn't know exactly what to do and shook his head for an explanation.

"I'm sorry, what exactly am I supposed to do? I have no idea what to do."

Ray smiles and explains, even as he says it's an easy thing to do.

"Mr. Randall is fine, the guild chief and other officials aren't very familiar with the people in the city, are they? So, you'll be busy, but please advise me to get out of the city as far as possible. Tell the guild leaders, in particular, to speak up to the residents at the reinforcement sites on the outer walls and at the drop-off of the escaping citizens."

Randall has no idea what Ray's words mean.

"Does that clear your suspicions? Don't they think you look good before you run away?

Ray shook his neck wide and sideways, answering with a brighter voice.

"It's okay. How can a city person want to believe such outrageous rumors? That's more than an organization called Alliance, I've never even seen a face, the greats just can't believe it. It's surprisingly believable if you smile, make your voice sound bright, and tap it on your shoulder."

Randall still couldn't believe it, but he was whining, "Is that what it is?"

"So think about it and look at it. Mr. Randall is a mercenary, isn't he? Who do mercenaries fight for?

Randall replies with a strange face, "Well, it would be for me and my employer".

Ray shakes his neck sideways with a "no," and starts talking with a serious look.

"I'm an immature mercenary with little experience, but that's all I know. Mercenaries fight really hard for their lives, for their people, for their families to protect. When fighting enough to be ready to die, have you ever wanted to drink and protect your noisy companions with you? Have you ever waved a sword for an injured and falling comrade?

Randall opened his eyes, and nodded loudly.

Ray smiles back at it.

"So we just need you to recognize that the guild leader is our own comrade. It could be ideal theory. But if you think we're fighting with ourselves, I don't think we're going to believe any weird rumors."

"Right. I see what you're trying to say. Tell the guild chiefs to show their faces to the city. Originally, I shouldn't show my face to people trying to protect the city. I'm sure you're right..."

Did Randall fall to his heart or suddenly he gets a bright look?

"As much as I can, I'll show my face to the city folks. From now on, I'm going to ask the guild chief to interrogate Kirsty in the meantime. Unlocking the puppet's magic will make it impossible to interrogate him, but he should be able to do so before he does. You are also a healer. If you were present, you wouldn't die for nothing."

With that said, Randall pounded Ray's shoulder and left the room.

And the Rays, guided by Lloyd, headed to Kirsty's locked room.

Along the way, I will briefly describe the Kirsties that Lloyd has captured.

"It's Kirsty and the healer Maisie. Both are restrained by rope, but Maisie, the healer, is a monkey because it is troublesome when magic is used. You can take it off, but don't make me use magic."

When I entered the room, two women were tied up.

Kirsty is about thirty years old, with a slightly tight eye, but a neat looking magician. Another woman, the healer, Maisie, was the opposite of Kirsty, who was usually a loving face with dripping eyes, but now she was lifting her eyes and intimidating the Rays.

Both of them had their protective gear removed, their shirts halfway off so that they could see their backs, their skin exposed by hanging them from their shoulders to their chests, and they had a strange gloss. The valley of his chest was accentuated because of the more tied rope, and Ray was blushing and distracting himself from the look of it.

As Ray deludes that red face, "What about Dr. Raspade?," he asked.

"Since then, Professor Raspade has had to modify his magic props. I rang, but they yelled at me and I didn't want to talk."

Ray chuckles, says, "I have a way of calling you," and ears Lloyd.

Lloyd snorted and went to get Raspade.

Ashley, who was watching behind me, said, "What did you say?" I ask.

Ray answers as he laughs and almost laughs.

"I just said I would experiment (...) with a subject whose puppet magic has now hung on her that the Demons don't want to be asked questions. Maybe they'll fly..."

As Ray said, Raspade jumped into the room where Kirsty was being held.

"How do you do it! The subject could die, but how are you going to prevent it! ……

I spit out a question to keep standing up and calmed down a little, so Ray starts talking.

Ashley, Stella and Lloyd were taken lightly by Raspade's appearance and were even more impressed with Ray's calming appearance.

"Ask Mr. Lloyd or your teacher to interrogate you, and if you need anything, I'll hang the healing magic. If it's still dangerous, we'll quickly take out the puppet's magic tools."

Raspade, whose excitement cools down, nods at it, but shows off his thoughts on whether he comes up with anything.

"I just figured it out. Why don't you interrogate me while I unplug the magic equipment? If the magic item directly affects the magic power of the subject, if it is in a raised state in the middle of extraction, is the effect of the puppet limited..."

Raspade's idea was that if demonic props only worked imperfectly, the effect of the puppet would be limited even though it would remain memorable, and if this state, it would reduce the likelihood of losing its own life.

Though anxious, Ray thought it could be too.

"Okay. While the teacher is watching Mr. Kirsty, I will pull the magic kit away, so in the meantime, Mr. Lloyd will interrogate you."

Lloyd said, "How long can you take to interrogate me? confirm."

"Five minutes is the limit, I think, because I use my magic."

Ray turns behind Kirsty and puts his hand on his back. And then he sends signals with his eyes to Raspade and Lloyd, and then slowly pours in his magic.

Lloyd started interrogating Kirsty after making sure Raspade nodded.

"I have heard the general circumstances from the Ottos. You went out of town alone to give information to the Demons."

Kirsty sweats on her forehead and groans, "Eh, no".

Raspade orders Ray to "pull me out a little more".

Ray nods small and focuses more magic on his left hand.

Lloyd said, "Was it in the Demon Clan?," he asked, a painful look, but shook his head vertically.

Raspade groans, "Keep it up, keep it up," but his interest was in Kirsty's expression.

(Interesting. Now the magic of the Demons is unraveling. Just watching doesn't exhaust my interest...... yeah? Maybe that demonic prop isn't just about tying your soul. Maybe something that will transfer a pseudo-soul on board... if so, you mean that this subject now has two souls? Really interesting......)

Lloyd's interrogation continued in the meantime.

"When did you pass the information on to the Demons?

"After noon yesterday, after hearing the bell at 2pm..."

"What did you tell him?

"Where to go for" Son "... scheduled..."

"Who are you talking about?

"... an archer named Luna..."

"Didn't the Demons say anything else?

"... bankrupt the city's defense plan. But leave as many residents as you can... eliminate the white magician... lure him to the whorehouse tomorrow night..."

"Who is the White Mage?

"... Ray Arklight..."

What Lloyd's interrogation found out was that Luna was his “son," that he had told Luna where he was going, that he had told the Wingman his plans, that he had spreaded rumors to interrupt the city's defense plan, and even that he was trying to trap the whorehouse where the Ottos were lurking to get rid of Ray.

And it also turns out he was trying to set the city on fire tonight and disrupt it.

Ray's expression gets harsher, and Ashley tells Raspade and Lloyd the end of the interrogation.

"Ray seems to be the limit. Professor, Lord Lloyd, I want you to end this."

Lloyd nodded and Raspade asked the last question.

"Is your soul connected to the soul of the devil tribe? If you're connected, tell me what the devils think."

"... I don't know. But the Lunar Demons took your son... Ugh! Wow!"

Suddenly, Kirsty threw up blood and started screaming out loud.

"Mr. Arklight! Pull out the demon props immediately! If you have magic, you hang healing magic!

Ray pulled out the puppet's demonic props at once.

Kirsty kept groaning, zeroing the blood bubbles out of her mouth, stripping her white eyes and fainting.

Ray hangs healing magic on Kirsty with a rough breath.

"The Great Source of Life, God of Water (Fonce). Heal his wounds with the power of the purifying Spirit. I don't give my life for the price. Healing Power (Heel)"

He considers himself an anomaly in the internal medicine system and casts a curative magic spell of water attributes.

A blue light covers the top from Kirsty's chest.

But he can't tell if the healing magic is on time.

Because her breathing was shallow, her consciousness remained unconscious, and her blood gradually seemed to draw from her face.

Raspade was looking at Ray's treatment and thinking about the situation now.

(If only to tell the facts, nothing went wrong. But as soon as I tried to make the devil's ideas analogous, there was a rejection. Was there a more powerful procedure, or did the Demons come remotely to dispose of it... the only way to confirm it is to use another subject. Hopefully, one end of the Demon Clan mystery may be revealed......)

Again, as Ray hung his healing magic, Kirsty's breathing calmed down.

Ray remembered a situation in which her condition had changed dramatically and wondered if the last question had become the key.
