Trinitas Mundus - The Story of Saint Knight Ray

Lesson 32: Supporting the Blacksmith Guild

When Luna and the others were gathering information at the Paston Chamber of Commerce, Ray, Ashley and Stella were also in the commercial district of Ezarrington to gather information.

There is no place for them without land prospects, and they are walking peeking into the store with their blah blah blah.

Combining the surrounding villages, it was a large city with a population of 200,000, with many travellers due to the traffic rush, and the commercial district showed a festival-like bustle.

"You remind me of Bridgend's Summer Solstice Festival when the three of us walk in the city. It hasn't been a year..."

Ray started talking about Bridgend, a town in the eastern part of the Kingdom of Lax. On his way back, he accidentally hit the Summer Solstice Festival when he escorted supplies to Fort Chulock.

"There were Hal and Mr. Renzi at first then, but only the three of us toured town from the middle of nowhere."

Ashley responds to Ray's soliloquy.

"Right. The three of us in Fonce rolled out to the city, but the bridge is still impressive."

"Right. It was fun then," Stella whines as well as nostalgic for the old days.

"You're not even old enough to remember and miss the old days," Ashley laughs, "Well, let's go in somewhere," Ray also laughs.

(That's Luna's concern. Because there has never been just the three of us since we left Periclitle... of course, there are Uno...)

Only Stella has noticed, but Uno has hit the guard with his subordinate Seyce. We know that both Ray and Ashley are under guard, but we don't know where they are.

When Ray said, "Want to come in here?" and pointed to a shop.

The store appeared to be a grocery store, with ceramics such as plates and cups.

"Right. I would be putting a glass product of Jill Sole here. Do you want to come in?"

That's what I'm saying. I'm going inside the store.

The store was a relatively small one, but there was a clean display of glass wine glasses and tumblers arranged on the shelves in the back.

"Welcome" says a female clerk in her mid-thirties or so.

"Looking for something?

"Oh, I was wondering if you had a glass of zilsole," Ashley said.

"Yes, but for what use do you need it?

"Ezarrington was also a city of white wine. Is there a glass for white wine?

"Yes, I do. But if that's the case, there are better things that were made in Ezarrington."

That's what I'm going to say and line up some glasses.

Bigger than the goblet they were using in a slightly elongated glass with legs.

"They say this shaped object fits the Ezarrington wine best. It's also very transparent, so you can enjoy beautiful colors when you pour wine."

Ashley turns out the window when she takes it and tries to watermark it to the light.

"You're certainly as transparent as a crystal. Isn't that expensive?

"Yes, this is not only craftsman, but magician finished it, so one half gold coin in one, fifty krona"

"Fifty! You can't use such a tall glass," Ray surprises, but Ashley looks at him with a flat face.

"You're cheaper than this. Two hundred won't go down if you buy it on Fonce."

The clerk who was listening to the two exchanges assumed that these three were tourists from the Kingdom of Lax. Doubt what Ashley looks like when she spots the value of the glass further.

(It's like being a mercenary, but it doesn't seem like you're just a mercenary to know the value of a glass at this young age. Some kind of escort and mistress at a big store.

That's what I thought. She aggressively sells into Ashley.

"There's a lot more. It's a wine glass, that's the best, but if it's a brandy glass, why not this one?

That's what I say. Take out a short glass of rounded legs. When Ashley lifts it up, it's heavier than she thought and gives a surprising look at its weight.

"This is made of special glass"

"Special glass?

"Yes, the material is called crystal glass made by Sir Zacharias Lockhart. That's what the Ezzarington magicians are working on in the glass."

"Sir Zacharias......" Ray mutters.

"Yeah, I only deal with this crystal glass here in Ezarrington and Imperial Primes. So if you want to make a souvenir, I would definitely recommend it."

Ray was heartily frightened by a man named Zacharias.

(How awesome he is... not just alcohol, but even a glass...)

That's what I thought, but I ask the question if it's available on Lockhart territory.

"I wonder if you can even get that on Lockhart territory."

The clerk shakes his head wide aside at Ray's penetration.

"I have never heard of anything for sale that will be made by Sir Zacharias. I'm talking about busy people, so I hear that only a very small number of your parents' homes will be made for gifts."

"Surely it's strange that nobles make glasses for sale," Ray also convinces.

Stella joined the conversation to get information on Jilsol, which was her original purpose.

"I don't mind that, but I'd like to see some Jill Saul stuff, too."

"Yes, but I'm just a little thin right now."

"Thin? You mean the impact of the rumors of war?" Ray asks.

"Yes, there are really fewer ships coming from Jill Saul... there are fewer ships to go to, so I can't even place an order. It's really annoying......"

When asked in detail, it was almost identical to what we heard in the commercial guild, which meant that the southern route was having a paralysing effect.

"... there are a few more ships in Imperial City, but this is a relay point to the west, so the ship on the west route takes precedence and the ship from the south cannot enter the port."

Finish listening and leave the store.

"Do you mean there might be a trip south to the Empire City? For once, you were able to gather information. It was a little expensive."

That's what I say and laugh at.

Ashley ended up buying four glasses for white wine. Think of the damage while moving, and it's in the ray storage magic (item box).

"Sure it's expensive shopping, but I think it's worth it. It'll be a souvenir for your fathers."

He then entered a grocery store and a trinket store dealing with crafts, but only gathered similar information.

In the evening, returning to the Inn, Luna and the others, who were going to the Paston Chamber of Commerce and the Blacksmith's Guild, were back first.

"How'd it go? Did it work?," Ray replied, "Yeah,"

"Looks like you can't go directly from here after all. Because it seems difficult even at major chambers of commerce. But I was introduced to the ship from Cheslock. I don't think I made a mistake because I gave you Lockhart's name."

Ashley and the others are surprised that they even got the references.

"That means Lockhart? It helps because I didn't want to be on a ship I don't trust."

"Right. 'Cause some malicious vendors seem to just take the money and throw it out into the ocean."

Nodding at it, Ashley talks about the information she got.

"The information over here turns out that going south is devastating. After that, it seems that the ship is out to some extent in the capital..."

"So, what are we going to do next?" Ryan joins the story.

And Ray answers.

"I think it would be a good idea to go to Empire City for now. Langton Avenue can take over a thousand kilometers, so it could take a month, and things could change in the meantime."

"But then, what are you going to do with Mr. Uno? You won't be able to get into the Imperial City."

When Ryan says so, suddenly Uno appears.

"Forgive me for joining the story without asking," he said, bowing his head.

"I can't tell you the details, but it's possible to infiltrate even if we're in the capital."

Stella said in that word, "Does that mean there's already a way?" I ask.

"You're right," I just answer, and I won't tell you the details.

"I mean, Luke's Beastly Slaves have already infiltrated the Empire... if Lord Uno is going to say it with confidence, it will be possible"

Everyone nods when Ashley says so.

"Then the end of Ezarrington goes through Central Avenue into the Imperial Capital. But in Imperial Capital, we don't get on a ship just to gather information. Go for chess rock from the southern streets. I wonder if it feels like Mr. Uno is going into the capital if he can infiltrate without having to."

Luna asks questions about Ray's proposal.

"You mean in Imperial City, it's just information gathering? I wonder why I wouldn't be aboard if I had a ship."

"I want to gather information because there will be some departure agencies in the Kaum Kingdom in Imperial Capital, and the Blacksmith Guild should have a lot of information. But as for the ship, if Cheslock has a handout, I don't think he needs to be on it."

"Right. I agree with Ray's idea, too," Ashley said, while everyone else also indicated their agreement.

Then, as last night, I attend a banquet at the Blacksmith Guild.

On that occasion a proposal was made by Ivan Kemp, Branch Manager.

"It's a coincidence, but I got to go to the Imperial City quickly. Why don't you go with Non?

The Rays question the word coincidence, but quickly understand that Ivan thinks of Luna's safety and accompanies them.

And the Rays think we should let Luna decide, send her gaze.

Luna, who received that gaze, nodded small,

"Thank you. Please let me come with you," he lowered his head greatly.

"Because Nong and the others owe Lockhart. I haven't returned it at all to this extent. Don't worry about what Matt asks you to do."

The Ezarrington branch of the Blacksmith Guild received support from the Lockhart family with regard to distilled liquor production in the Duke of Ezarrington territory. For that reason, they wanted to give back their gratitude to the Lockhart family, so they confirmed to Matt that there was nothing they could do.

At that time, Masaias has asked me to give him a hand if the Lockhart family's next-door friend asks for help.

Ivan said that.

"In any case, I have sent word to the Imperial Branch. Gunter will be gathering information even over there."

I have been contacted by the General Headquarters of the Blacksmith Guild in Ars, the king's capital of the Kingdom of Kaum, to each branch manager about Luna's support, but I did not know exactly when Luna would enter each city of the Empire.

This time, the Ezarrington branch has been contacted by the Aldred branch, which has also been communicated to the interrogation office.

Thus the blacksmith guild within the Caerm Empire was backing up with total strength.

This time Ivan's companion is also a measure to use the power of the Blacksmith Guild, which has been instructed by the General Headquarters of Ars. And this measure was suggested by Queen Katrina to the Chief Master Ulrich Drexler.

"Thank you so much. This eliminates anxiety when entering the Empire City."

What Luna is saying is not a big deal.

It is no strange thing for a mercenary to escort a branch manager of a blacksmith's guild, and this has made it less noticeable even towards the south.

Not only that, but the blacksmith guild and the current Chancellor, the Duke of Ezarrington, have a good relationship and few officials get out high-pressure against the branch manager at their knees.

Impossible for a rival faction nobleman with a prime minister, but turning a blacksmith guild against an enemy just to harass the prime minister is impossible for a nobleman with a normal political feel.

It's not just not without a stupid nobleman, so it's not complete.

Then another banquet of sending lasted until late at night.

The next morning, Ray, who still has liquor, hangs the magic of detoxification to prepare him for departure.

Though I had not gotten a terrible hangover, I was feeling carefree due to lack of sleep and alcohol remaining at the core of my body.

(I've managed the alcohol, but the lack of sleep is tough. Well, from today on, it's going to be a relaxing trip, so I'm fine...)

From Ezarrington to Imperial Primes is about one hundred and fifty kimmels. This itinerary will go on in five days, but the journey of thirty kimmels per day on a well maintained central street is not a very bitter distance.

Originally, he proceeded forty kimmels a day and was scheduled to go to Plymouth in four days, but due to Ivan's pace on the carriage, he was able to afford the itinerary.

I leave with the blacksmiths dropping me off.

Ray spoke to Luna as he crossed the southern bridge of Ezarrington City.

"Like you said, the banquet with Dwarf is going on. I knew it wasn't a big deal to say it was a banquet every day."

"Right. This is what it used to be like..."

That's what she said. She looked up at the sky.
