Trinitas Mundus - The Story of Saint Knight Ray
Lesson 38: To Phyllobisher
May 23rd.
The refreshing winds of May were blowing and clear weather with no clouds over it.
The Rays leave Imperial Primes today. Now I'm coming to the Blacksmith Guild to say goodbye.
Already joining Vitali White, seconded by the Robbins Chamber of Commerce, awaits a carriage to be ridden by the Dwarves accompanied by Gunter Fink, head of the Primes branch of the Blacksmith Guild.
Ray and Ryan both see last night's farewell party fatigue, but their expressions are calmer than usual due to their recovery from the magic of detoxification and their future policy.
"You wanted to slow down a little bit," Ray tells Ashley.
"Right. Especially the temple. I wanted to see some more. Sometimes it's just a Primus specialty."
Yesterday afternoon, although there was a Sri uproar, nothing has happened since then that would affect the Rays, and I am looking at the temple of God in Heaven (Caerm) and God of Creation (Creatore).
Because the Temple of Caerm has also become the name of the country, it was the largest and most magnificent of the twelve temples, so much so that even Ray would round his eyes like any other tourist.
A giant statue of a frog stood in a blue-based building, losing its voice in the line of flying demon statues such as the Flying Dragon (Wyburn) and the Winged Lion (Griffon).
When I prayed in the temple, I had a pale expectation that I would hear a voice from God, but I did not hear it.
Luna likewise eagerly prayed for something like revelation, but she had not received a voice from the gods either.
After leaving the temple, Ray was surprised to hear that Uno had made contact with Luke's Beastly Slave Unit, but he received a report that sending him a blackmailed warning made him look like nothing after that.
He is satisfied that he has done well, but the vigilance has given instructions to continue.
The farewell party at the Blacksmith Guild was the same as usual, but the only difference was that it didn't put Luna's presence on the table too much.
The name of the banquet was also to send out a distillery inspection in Gunter and ten other Dwarves fierobishers.
This was a consideration that Luke's Beastman slave unit had come into contact with, so as not to call for unnecessary interest.
The Rays have decided to head south in the name of a mercenary of escorts hired by the Blacksmith Guild and the Deodard Chamber of Commerce, pulling horses with mercenary-like equipment.
Naturally Luna has not been treated specially in the position of one of the escorts either.
Two carriages appeared with the Blacksmith Guild crest - a hammer (hammer) and a gold floor (anvil).
Gunter looked from inside and said, "Then we're leaving!," he said, raising his right hand.
The Dwarves who came to drop it off said to it, "" Sieg Scotch! "" but it was an encouragement word for Luna.
Luna says a word of gratitude in her heart, bowing her head small so as not to stand out.
Leave the Blacksmith Guild and ride from the South Gate of Teito to the South Street.
Southern streets are as wide as central streets, streets made of earthly attribute magic. A short distance from the imperial capital, he entered the hilly area, which was a farmland, and the wheat ears before harvest were shaking.
"It doesn't feel like there's going to be a war at all," Ray tells Luna.
"Right. I feel really idle. As much as I'd like to go on a picnic."
Primus to Phyllobisher is about two hundred km (Kimmel). It is scheduled to travel in five days. Forty kimmels around the day and more forcible troops than regular merchants, but we all discussed and decided because of the streets being maintained, the absence of carriages, and the robustness of the blacksmiths riding the carriages.
Forced troops, but plan to change horses frequently, so if you leave at 9 a.m., you can reach your destination around 4 p.m.
After the departure the itinerary went well and although the weather collapsed on the third day, nothing happened and we arrived in the city of Phyllobisher, our destination, on the 27th May.
The vast basin of the central part of the Wale Peninsula is the territory of the Duke of Feelobisher.
In the heart of the gentle hills was the city of Pherobisher, the territorial capital of the Duke of Pherobisher.
The city of Firobischer is a city built very early in the empire, with an imperial-style city yet two kimmels long on one side of the walls and four times the size of a standard fortified city.
South streets penetrated the city's north and south, and to the east was the Duke's residence, the castle of Firobischer.
Broadly dividing the city, along the central southern street becomes a commercial district, a residential area to the west and an Imperial Army and Knights garrison to the east.
The garrison had two thousand troops from a regiment dispatched by the Imperial Army, hitting the perimeter to maintain law and order.
Although the city of Phyllobisher is the core city of the central region of the Wale Peninsula, it has a population of only 10,000 inhabitants, about 50,000 people combined in the surrounding countryside, and is not a city of the size of a large city.
Commercial activity was also less active, with agriculture being the only major industry, far from the sea in favour of trade.
its agriculture but was very thriving compared to the rest of the world.
Warm climates and moderate precipitation allow some crop to be harvested throughout the year. Wheat production, especially in the hinterland, was high and had been sent to Teito and to the large eastern city of Langton.
Sugar, also a specialty of the Duke of Phyllobisher's territory, has a large sugar cane field, mainly in Renfield on the western side of the peninsula, and its harvest is among the best in the world.
Entering through the North Gate, the commercial district expanded and many shops and cafeteria signs came into view.
"You feel more prosperous than you heard," Ray tells Ashley.
"You sure do. As far as the signs go, there seems to be a lot of food business. No, I don't think the dining room stands out."
Ashley is right, there are many calls and the impression of a restaurant district is strong.
"It's been a few years. When I first visited here, there were no restaurants like this."
That's what the accompanying Vitali explains. He had been to Cheslock many times to buy cocoa and had frequented here Phyllobisher as well.
I go into the sidewalk talking about that. to head to the Feelobisher branch of the Blacksmith Guild.
The branch is just west of Boulevard.
The city's blacksmith guild is shallow in history and only five years have passed since it was founded.
That's why, originally, there wasn't enough demand for firearms here to need a Dwarf blacksmith. The security of the Duke of Feelobisher is very good, and there is little demon or bandit damage outside the steep mountains on the border with the Grand Duke of Langton. As a result, there are few adventurers and mercenaries in the city of Feelobisher.
While the armaments of the Imperial Army stationed need to be maintained and replenished, the Empire was in the process of standardizing its equipment, which was sufficient for the human blacksmiths in the city. That's why I didn't have to build a branch.
Even now, the Dwarf blacksmiths are only involved in the production of distillers, and the number of Dwarves falls into the smallest category as branches with about ten.
"You're bigger than I thought," Ray mutters as he looks up at the building.
Heavy three-story stone building, large for the size of the branch.
Gunter, coming out of the carriage, answered the grunt.
"Mostly from the warehouse. Copper plates are stored in large quantities..."
Materials for armaments such as iron and misrills and fuels such as charcoal are stored in normal branches, but here they are mostly of that material because they are specialized in the production of distillers.
The Gunters go straight into the branch building.
The Rays follow in a hurry, too, but there were just a few officials inside, no blacksmiths.
"It's unusual to have a blacksmith guild without a dwarf," says Ray, and Luna chuckles.
"There's no such thing as normal at headquarters. 'Cause I have my own workshop."
"If you say so, you are, aren't you? But the image of all the banquets is too strong..."
That's what makes me laugh. Plus Ashley and the others are caught and laughing.
An official who noticed Gunter said, "Gentlemen, you will be on the scene today," and bowed his head.
"I know. But we'll be back at night, won't we?
"Yes, we have heard that you will be here, so we are planning to start the banquet at 6pm"
"Uhm. I hope so. Non and the others get into trouble for about five days. I'm sorry, but I need you to arrange for the Noona Inn."
Have the staff already completed the arrangements or say "I will guide you" to take the lead?
The Rays are scheduled to stay at the lodging of Robbins Chamber of Commerce employee Vitali White, where they broke up once.
When I arrived at the inn, Ray cut it out.
"We still have about two hours at the banquet, but what do we do?
Vitali said in the words, "I'm going to go around the Chamber of Commerce where we have a deal and gather information,"
"So I would ask that the blacksmith guild banquet be absent..." he added.
He had been crushed several times by the Gunters over the past five days and had set his feet on a Dwarf banquet that heard rumors.
Ray and Ryan know exactly how Vitali feels, so they nod loudly in the affirmative sense, but Ashley says, "It's a corner opportunity. Why don't you have a drink with me," he said, not reading the air.
Luna was laughing at the exchange.
"I would like to give priority to gathering information," Vitali told Ashley, leaving the inn.
After dropping off Vitali, Ray checks again, but there are no handouts, so after training he was set to head to the blacksmith's guild.
The Blacksmith Guild had the usual banquet, but Ray was under the impression that it was more than usual because there were only about twenty Dwarves, including the Gunters.
Reimnt Paetz, chief of the Feelobisher branch, was relatively young among Dwarf blacksmiths, only in his mid-fifties, but with a fine Dwarf-like mustache and a heartbeat, his parent piercing was ample.
When the banquet is settled, Reimnt will explain the information gathered by the branch staff.
"We've been asked to gather information since General Headquarters contacted us, but the ship hasn't left Lenfield..."
Renfield is a town belonging to the Duke of Fielobischer, with ports where many ships stop for sugar transport.
"I tried to talk to the captain of the ship carrying the ram, but he refused to go south with the money loaded"
"Why not?" Gunter asks.
"They say it's an imperial government order. It seems that the ship between Renfield and Plymouth is also mostly requisitioned, apart from those carrying rum and sugar. It's forbidden to trade off the route in case of an emergency."
"I told you not to requisition even the ship carrying the ram! screaming," Gunter rises. Other dwarves from the Imperial Capital were trembling with anger.
"Well, they say it's a last resort. At least they're making sure we get land access."
Hearing that story, Gunters regain their composure, too. Ray listens to the story and reassures him that he was right to choose land routes.
(If you're going to requisition even a ship carrying Dwarf liquor, that means the boat to the south didn't come for long. But I wonder how much power you're going to carry...)
Rymund's story was still going on.
"... nothing in particular from here to Cheslock. As usual. But Jill Saul seems a little different."
"Things are different......?," Luna says unintentionally.
"Bye. They often have trouble getting ships out of the sea not returning. Rumor has it that a big demon is attacking the ship."
"Is it a big demon?" Now Ray heard.
"It's just a rumor, Sea Serpent. Well, I don't know if I know for sure, but as far as the wreckage of the boat drifting on the beach is concerned, there's no mistake first."
Sea Serpent is a third-degree equivalent demonic serpent dragon (Serpent) sea habitat type, larger than a land-based serpent, the largest being more than fifty meters (melt) long, and comparable first-degree equivalent demons to large dragons and demon generals (arc demons).
"So what do you think? Do you think you can get the ship out?," Gunter urges first.
"From what I hear, there's not even a fishing boat out there."
Ray thinks into that information.
(If we can't get the ship out, it means we won't be able to cross to Jilsor. Cesar pent is equivalent to the second level. Even when it comes to knocking them down, it's difficult for an adventurer on land. I guess I'll just have to lure him to land like I did when I defeated the Green Snake Dragon (Green Serpent) with Ash before... but it was about twenty melts we defeated. It could be difficult for us now when it comes to fifty melts...)
Ask Ashley if she was thinking the same thing or about the crusade.
"Didn't you hear about the crusade? What's the story about the troops stationed in Cheslock moving?
"I'm not listening. The fishermen seem to be pleading with Lord Cheslock, but I don't think he's moving in that duke."
Lord Cheslock is one of the elders, but he was famous for dawning in a romantic game with the beauties at the ball and showing no interest in politics.
"So does that mean we just wait for him to stay like this," Ashley asks further.
"It will," Reinart replied, with a bitter air.
You felt that air, Gunter said, "I can't solve my problems here. I'm gonna forget about it and drink it today!," he exclaimed, and the brightness returned to the banquet.
The banquet will be open by the time the date changes, but the Rays' footsteps were heavy.
"I don't think things are changing in five days..."
"Right. Worst case scenario, we might have to crusade... it seems more right than us, like you."
Ryan also nods at Luna's words.
"If you're a demon in the ocean, you can't get your hands on it. No, even if I could, if I had a first-tier Cesar pent, I'd have to be on my feet."
Ashley shakes her neck to the side of the word.
"Ray and I have defeated Green Serpent before. It will be possible to defeat them with everyone's power if they succeed in bringing them to land. Well, if you go, you can't decide anything."
Everyone nodded at her words.
Back at the inn, Vitali woke up and waited. His face was dark, and he was getting the same information.
Vitali looked at the look on Rays' face and said, "Looks like you've heard it already," then
"It looks like Cesar Pent is out. From what I've heard, there was no plan to crusade..."
The content of his research was no different from that of Reinart's information, which meant that he would only adopt the passive measure of waiting for Cesarpent to disappear.
"It means we just have to get to Cheslock for now. Now you should rest your body in preparation for tomorrow's departure rather than thinking about it."
That's what Ashley said, and when she headed to the bedroom, the Rays gave up on having to sleep, too.
The next morning, he said goodbye to the Gunters and left for Cheslock.
