Lesson 58: Escape: Medium

Hamish Markat strokes his chest down when he sees the breakthrough opened by Squad Two and Squad Three.

(This ensured the exit. how much we can get away with it later)

With that in mind, a group of knights arrive from the front towards the exit.

But that number is about half that of the Third Battalion, and Hamish feels darkened by the small number.

He finds Arwell Kilgaroho, the battalion captain, and checks the situation as he runs his horse to catch the battalion captain who won't even show him how to stop.

"Battalion captain, what's the situation forward?!

Arwell sees Hamish without stopping.

He didn't know how to talk and started yelling at me in an order tone.

"The Second Squadron is holding back the Demons ahead! We leave this place once we get our distance and get back on our feet! Brave men, stop the demon march with the Second Squadron!

Hamish quickly finds out he doesn't intend to return, but he can't even kill the Second Squadron, and switches to a practical story in order to keep orders from the commander to stop the march further.

"Where is the rendezvous point?

Arwell was bewildered by questions he didn't envisage, but gave orders in an even more high-pressure manner

"... the village of Millis. Brave men, secure the narrow path of the valley in front of you! This is an order!

"Meet me there...... how long should I keep it secure!

Hamish was more frightened than angry.

Arwell can't afford to realize that, and he goes on to lay down more orders.

"Until I have my orders. Be sure to secure it! Like they're not coming after us!

Arwell increases his speed even further and, as it were, returns west down the street.

Hamish, left behind, held bitter thoughts in his chest and gave orders to his men.

"The Second Squadron is surrounded! Squad four! Follow me! Let's go help the knights! Second squad! Squad three! Squad five! Guard this place dead! And secure the horse for retreat! As soon as we get the knights out, we're retreating!

(Corner, we could get out of here, but this is a pretty dangerous situation. Now, shall we go and help Lord Leland? It's about him, I guess he's with the Second Squadron...)

Ray couldn't believe the sight and didn't even notice Ashley approaching.

And she also had incredible thoughts when she saw her father and his people fighting hard again.

"What happened... why are you back again"

He tells her, shrugging, what he sees with less anger.

"The battalion leader ran away. Maybe that's when he gave you some kind of order."

"What to do... Awkward, this situation..."

Ray kept his mouth shut and stared at the fight downstairs.

And when he opens his mouth, he declares, "I'm going to help you".

"I just want Ash to run away... but you can't"

Trying to encourage her to escape, he makes a smile resembling giving up and immediately denies himself.

Ashley also replied with a smile, "Oh, no".

"Okay. I'm not dying here either. [M] You'll never die until you hit that battalion leader."

"Neither do I."

When they stood up, they saw Stella pulling the horse right behind them.

"I'm going to go help everyone now. Me and Ash go back to the battlefield. Stella should do what she wants."

"I'll go, too. Please take me."

I answer that in a rare and strong tone for her.

"I'm not going to die, and I don't want anyone to die. You don't have to follow me..."

That's all I said, I saw Stella's serious look, and I said, "Okay. Help me," he says with a smile.

And as he crossed the horse, he skipped the instructions to both of them.

"Stella! Keep your perimeter alert! Ash defeated only the nearest enemy! Get out of here on this hill."

He was going to make the exit of the knights fighting in the front, not on the streets, but on the hills with few enemies.

(Both Mr. Hamish and Mr. Leland should head this way if we give them a chance to climb the hill. Not yet, the horse is not exhausted. Now you have a chance to escape even if you run up the hill)

The three made their way to the front of the knights' battle as they confirmed their exit.

Stella couldn't believe Ray and Ashley saying they were going to die smiling.

(How can you be laughing? As it is, Master Ray dies. And yet how can Master Ashley laugh? I don't know......)

And when he told me I should like it, I was surprised at myself, without any hesitation, to follow.

(If it's true, I have to ask both of you to run away... and soon the words pounded on my mouth. But when I look at Master Ray's smile, I know that was the right thing to do. But why...)

Doubts swirled in her, but soon she truncated all emotions and began to explore the signs around her.

Hamish pulled Gareth Eiling of the most squad and Elias Nifer of the fourth squad, joining the knights fighting in the front.

Half of the knights maintained their walls with worn shields and swords, and the other half had fallen at the feet of the oaks. Some of them appeared to be Baigots replaced by Leland.

"Lord Leland! Are you all right!"

In his voice, deputy captain Nigeth Leland said, "Lord Marcut! Respond."

Hamish and the rest, the elite of the Markat mercenary regiment had a respectful eye on the knights who maintained the front, while hurting the rundown.

Gareth told Leland,

"Once, we will support you. Keep your health warm as you see the gap and escape!

Leland and the other knights gave the word a horrible look, retreating a little bit and ceding the front to the most squad.

"Lord Leland is safe and above all. Look at the opportunity and get out. Elias! Wait until you open the breach!

Watching the sitting knights, Hamish was thinking about how to get out of here.

(The oaks are already in between the rear and the rear. There are over a thousand orcs around here alone. Even with the breakthrough power of Elias and the Fourth Squad, those “meat walls” can't be broken through. With that said, you don't see the Al's. You joined the Zengas?

Around that time, Marcut Mercenary Corps deputy Alberic Auger was on the hill, led by four of the squadron's archers and twenty young mercenaries of proselytizing soldiers.

(I tried to get out, but don't let Hamish go back. I don't know what to do......)

He was worried about whether to go save Hamish or to the second squad, which was securing his way out.

(You're lacking in decision-makers. Whatever the four of them are, in these kids, letting them use a crossbow (crossbow) doesn't do much good, and more so when it's a melee... Hamish gets mad when he lets them die for nothing. Do you think after joining Zenga or Lasalles)

The three Rays showed up before him as he tried to rendezvous with the second squad, which was securing his exit.

"You were safe. Good, good."

"Mr. Alberic is safe and above all. By the way, what are you doing here?

To Ray's inquiry, Alberic tells him he was trying to move in to join Squad Two.

Ray, after a little thought,

"How much longer does Taiya Bolt remain?

Alberic glanced at the mercenaries around him.

"Right. Maybe ten per person."

Ray finds light in the answer.

"Mr. Alberic, do you remember how I thought about using a crossbow?

"Oh, that one. The one where one keeps shooting in pairs of three."

Alberic also seemed to have somehow figured out Ray's thoughts, and he was feeling less sad.

"I will help Mr. Hamish and the others. After shooting simultaneously, disrupt the enemy with a pair of shootings."

Alberic nods loudly and starts putting the mercenaries together.

"I'm going to go help Hamish now. It's not like I can do it, I can't believe my experience helping Red Arm Hamish. So I'm gonna have you guys shoot a crossbow. The timing is right for me. After that, the three of us are in a group, and the best shoots. The latter two pull even strings and turn to the shooter. That's it, Ray?

Ray nodded and watched as the fierce battle was going on under the hill.

(There must be demons manipulating orcs, medium ghosts. Kill him or confuse him and the orcs will move worse. I wonder where he is)

"Stella, do you have a minute?

He calls Stella and asks her if she doesn't know what a medium ghost looks like.

"There's got to be a ghost tribe manipulating the orcs. Don't you know if that sounds like it?

Stella remembers the great ghost tribe she has seen before, checking for any similarities in atmosphere or herds of oaks.

(I'll see what I can find. I need to feel something more atmospheric, more like a sign than it looks. Remember what you taught me in "Inside“. Teach me when assassinating a commander…)

She slowly looks at the herd of oaks.

And only one spot in the middle of the hill found the orcs moving differently.

"I'm not sure, but the oak moves differently just in that corner. Others are moving forward, but that bunch doesn't move from that place."

It looks like Ray gets on with her words, but he doesn't get it very well.

I immediately called Alberic and repeated what Stella had said.

Alberic stares at the place, and then stands beside Stella, pointing his finger at the enemy.

"That looks like an oak, but it's a different species. Stella, you know that red belt oak? What do you say?"

Stella stared carefully at the place,

"Yes, I understand. The atmosphere is completely different from the oak. Definitely."

Ray sees it the same way, but has no idea.

"Thanks, Stella. Thank you."

After thanking Stella, he decided to set the place as an attack target.

"Mr. Alberic, I decide to attack that place. I think Mr. Hamish will realize my intentions, so Mr. Alberic only needs to think about confusing us and attacking. Ash, Stella, we're going into a messy enemy, one over there. It's not meant to be defeated, so just spin it around so you don't get attacked."

The three nodded, aiming behind where the Middle-Ghost tribe was, and began to move.

In about five minutes you will arrive at a predetermined location and carefully look down from the hill.

(Nevertheless, there is no sign of the enemy at all on the back side of the hill. I know if you mean not to build a Ranger, but isn't it too alert? Was an earlier Winged Demon woman protecting the rear?

He decides to concentrate on the operation now, although such questions come to mind.

(Now let's focus on helping Mr. Hamish and the others. If the enemy comes around, that's the time. It doesn't make things worse than they are now)

Speaking to Alberic, accompanied by Ashley and Stella, he proceeds through the grass with a crawling forward procedure.

And on the side of the place where the Middle-Ghost tribe was, approaching a distance of about thirty meters, he began to cast a magical spell of fireworks.

"Ignis, God of Fire, God of Fire who burns everything down. Give me the glory of the Great Wheel of Fire. I will not give you the power of my life. Open to the sky! Big Wheel Peony (Firepeonia)!"

At the end of his spell, he flies, making the sound of Hulhull, like the usual fireworks. And when it plunged over the heads of the oaks, a loud noise called Dawn sounded, and after the dazzling light, a glittering petal of flame opened.

The orcs squat with their heads pressed against the roar and the light.

(Okay, it's a success. And then we...)

"Ash! Stella! I'm coming!"

He wields the spear wide over his head, appealing to their appearance.

The Middle-Ghost tribe, who noticed him, had immediately given instructions to send his orc under his command to intercept him.

Alberic had calmly confirmed that the oak would decrease from around the medium ghost tribe.

(All right, Ray, you're right about the operation. Snipe over there. Thirty meters. If you're lucky, you can finish with one shot.)

He sends signals to the archers, and himself points them carefully at the Middle-Ghost tribe.

When he unleashed the arrow, he signaled it, as did the archers, and four arrows and twenty tai arrows flew towards the Middle-Ghost tribe.

The Middle-Ghost manipulator (Tamer), confused by light and sound, turned his attention only to the Rays. As a result, I did not realize that the walls, the walls of the oak, which should protect me, had become thinner.

There an arrow released from Alberic's strong bow flies straight towards him.

Shortly before the arrow hit, the operator heard a wind cut and tried to turn around. At the next moment, an arrow slammed his throat, and he fell slowly as it was, without swinging away.

Behind it, an alberic arrow pierced his throat pierced deep into the chest of the oak behind him, whose oak fell like a stick, as did the Lord.

The orcs, who have lost their manipulators, get confused all at once.

It was divided into three groups: those who were going to the mercenaries, those who were going to the Rays and those who were going to the Alberics, each of whom tried to move on its own. As a result, allies bumped into each other and clapped into more confusion.
