Episode XVII: Mercenary Registration and Special Training
The next morning, although the rain still lingered, the light of the day plunged from time to time from the slices of the clouds, greeting him with a brighter morning than he thought.
Although I wake up at my usual time, it still rains outside and I can't train in the morning.
Ashley looked better than she did yesterday, almost back to normal, but Ray didn't seem to have the usual hegemony.
After pondering how he would spend a small amount of time between today and the duel, all he could think of was the orthodox stuff: training and action, magic practice.
And I was worried about how I should proceed with my interpersonal training.
(I want to train today, train interpersonal fights. Talk to Ashley about how to do it...)
After breakfast, Ray talks to Ashley about training for interpersonal matches.
"I want to train, especially for interpersonal fights, what do I do?
Ashley wondered if training with herself was not enough.
"You can do it with me. Are you dissatisfied with me?
"I'm not... Cellon, unlike Ashley, is it speedy? I'd like to work with someone similar, if possible, to grasp the feel. I'm not unhappy with Ashley."
"Oh well... right. Then it's quick to sign up for a mercenary guild. The Alliance also supports training, so it should teach you how to fight lightweight swordsmen."
"After all, do you have to be a mercenary... whether you prefer it or not, you play an interpersonal battle called a duel, so you can be..."
To Ray's attitude, which doesn't boil down,
"Ray doesn't like being a mercenary? I said no before."
As he scratched his head, wondering how to answer,
"I don't know what to say... thank you, killing people... that doesn't work"
(I was educated not to kill people, because I grew up in a country with no army in front of it. Really, there's resistance to making the act of killing people a profession... something I can't tell Ashley who grew up as a mercenary... that being said, I'm going to hurt people too, no, I'm going to fight to kill people. Not if you're talking weird...)
"I'm coming to register this morning. What about Ashley?
"Let me follow you, too. Probably quicker."
They geared up and left for the city where it rained light.
Arrive at the mercenary guild and register as a mercenary immediately.
Since he already has an Orb of Adventurer Guild, registration of basic information was not necessary and was immediately registered as a Class X mercenary.
And we headed to a building as small as the gymnasium behind the guild.
The building had become a training ground for the guild, about twenty m x thirty m in size, in which the mercenaries were eager to train.
(When I say mercenary, I feel unreliable, and I imagine that I don't train, but I still have my own life at stake, so I'm seriously training)
The two go inside the training ground, and Ray speaks to a teacher-like forty year old beast man who Ashley taught them.
The beast man had a skinny sabel on his hips and had leather armor on his tight body. When I looked closely, he looked like a werewolf, with big beast ears on his head and a fuzzy tail. But that face, which turned around, was harsh, and Ray wandered unexpectedly in his sharp eyes.
"Um, I'd like to ask you to train here..."
"Yeah? What are you?
The beast man notices Ashley lying next to him after he looks frigid.
"Isn't that Ashley? Sounds like something went wrong. Are you okay now?"
"Oh, I'm perfectly fine. Shabby, would you put an archery on this guy?"
The beast man called Shabby, looking at Ray,
"I don't mind that, but who the hell is this guy? Oh, the rumor is that your“ man "or the“ strong man "who dropped Ashley the" Iron Wall "... this is the guy... whoops!
Ashley pokes her sword at the tip of her nose, where Shabby is laughing.
"Shabby, if those big ears weren't ornaments, you'd be hearing what I said. Or are those ears decorative? You can chop him off now if you want. What do we do?"
When she says that with a sharp glance, Shabby changes the subject, laughing forcibly.
"Just kidding. So, should I normally teach you the sabel?
"No, I want you to train your sabel opponents. Didn't you hear that Cylon was going to fight a duel?"
When she said that, as Shabby recalled,
"Ah! That's the guy who says” Ray ”or something. I say I ate and hung up on Theron and got a duel..."
And I think of the reason why the two of them nominated themselves,
"I see, I see, Ashley. I'll hang out with you until I'm convinced. I hate him, too. He looks down on us..."
Ashley laughs niggly, all she has to do is "please," Ray still freaks out, "thank you," he bows his head.
With Ray holding a rounded spear hanging on the wall, Shabby began to put on his archery, adding a brief commentary.
"Speed is life for a sabel or a spotter. Sabel is primarily a" poke ”attack, but the simulator becomes a" slash ”attack. Theron not only slashes it in a spotter, he puts a poke in it. Well, I'll do what I can around there, like that. I don't want to lose at speed, but the accuracy of the attack is pretty much higher on him. Understand the area."
Talking about that, I'm going to add an attack with a simulated sword from Sabel.
Ray can't grasp the thread of the attack because he weaves backsteps, sidesteps, etc. and moves around blindly.
Shabby's movements are a mixture of explosive linear movements and flowing curved movements, and Ray can't anticipate Shabby's movements and can't follow them at all.
(You're such a pain in the ass! Now I know better that Lizardman says it's linear and easy to read movements. Well, since my arm is still immature, Ashley picked out a monotonous Lizardman of movement, a rock pig, a mushroom demon (Fongs), and a giant frog, Giant Toad, for me. You mean you haven't even grasped your strengths before...)
One drink that morning will train Shabby, but Ray was unable to put in a single valid attack.
On the other hand, Shabby, who dealt with him, said at the outset, "This guy defeated Hydra. I was wondering if it was a mistake” but as I spent an hour, two hours and training, I was amazed at Ray's ability to learn like a sponge sucking water.
(This guy... I don't even know if Ashley will let him in. I don't know if I can beat that Theron on the 10th or there, but I might even get to a good line. And have some hidden balls. Right.)
In the middle of training, where Ashley was gone, Ray asked Shabby what he cared about.
"What does that“ iron wall ”Ashley mean earlier?
Shabby laughed at the inquiry.
"You know somehow, don't you? Or do you really not know?
Shabby pleasantly explains when Ray gives the expression that he knows with his face.
"You know Ashley is the only daughter of the famous mercenary regiment leader. It's a famous story. Sometimes I think the father is his only daughter, but he's adorable. The man approaching him had to be trained by his father. Training is just a name, and they almost kill him, and when he was in the regiment, no man came near."
Let's talk about it here, and we'll have an even worse laugh from people.
"So, it's been since he came to this city. Naturally, there's a" scary ”father in this city. Yes, sir. There's something about him that sounds like a man, but he's a pretty good woman. Starting with Theron, a good number of men said. But he doesn't have that kind of experience. So you didn't know what that meant. No matter how good a man tells you, he's a total Park Min-Jen, and his nickname is" Iron Wall. "It's a famous story among mercenaries and adventurers, and they're betting on who's going to drop him."
Of course Ray doesn't know Shabby, but there were not many female mercenaries in the mercenary regiment where Ashley was. Even though he interacted with the feisty mercenaries, Ashley had no knowledge of the hand story because even the female mercenaries were frightened by the captain.
The usual captain, Hamish, is a luxurious, generous, and well-looked after ideal mercenary captain, but when it comes to his daughter, he becomes like someone else as soon as possible.
Neither did the female mercenaries who knew about it tell Ashley any unnecessary stories besides teaching her the necessary knowledge of how to deal with menstruation.
As a result, Ashley, a boxed daughter in a “steel box” called Mercenaries, was able to do it.
Ray was convinced that Shabby's story was somehow as imagined and tried to get back to training, Shabby adds.
"Hey, be careful. His father, Hamish, is a mercenary at Lax's fingertips. If I get my hands on him..."
That's all we talked about, and Ashley's back.
"What were you talking about?
That's what I hear because I've seen Shabby from a distance who talks enthusiastically, but Shabby panics that it's not a good idea to touch the subject.
Ray was aggressive,
"Yes, no, about Theron. Earlier, Mr. Shabby said he didn't like Cylon either, so why not? Plus, even the adventurers seem to have split ratings, because they don't just seem to hate me unilaterally...... hey, Shabby."
"Oh, the Theron bastard takes quite a bit of care of the guy who festivals himself. So there are quite a few young people who believe in Theron. But the guys with some strength, they don't deal with just a mouthful of Theron. And I don't know why, but he hates mercenaries, too, and he told me that his reputation sucks. Hey, Ray."
To the two play-dyed bar readings, Ashley turns a frigid, stinky eye, but forgets about it when Ray's training resumes.
Shabby was remembering earlier as he pondered the relationship between Ray and Ashley.
(Ab, ab, ab. If it's Ashley so far, I don't think there's anything wrong with her being asked, but thanks to Ray, I noticed a little color. I might be too busy talking about that. Well, that sounds interesting...)
Once in the afternoon, Ray goes to the usual woods to practice his magic and, around 3 p.m., trains again in the Mercenary Guild.
Ashley, dating the magic practice, was surprised by the magic she had never seen, and had a chance to win this, she was shining her eyes.
Ray then did the routine every day.
On the fifth day, in addition to Shabby, he was turning it into training for Ashley to attack at the same time.
Instead of a tactic to ”win," he weighs in on a tactic to ”survive," and focuses on how to flaunt the attack between the two.
The simulator is dominated by "slashing”, characterised by the fact that it is difficult to apply effective attacks against heavily armored enemies.
With as much skill as Theron, by slashing and tearing through the gaps in the armor, you can handle it adequately, but basically you can't slash and tear through the metal armor.
His thought tactic is to make the most of his armor: Nixwestis', higher defense than normal armor.
Although his armor is not fully plated, his torso and his arms, thighs and tibia are almost completely covered, and the exposed areas are limited to moving parts such as his neck, elbows and knees, other than his face.
Of course, if you raise your arms, your sides will be exposed, and there will be gaps in your shoulders. However, as long as we focus on poking with spears, there are considerably less exposed areas.
He thought it was impossible to avoid all of Theron's attacks or to take them with a spear.
Then I thought that if I took it with this sturdy armor, the song knife Simiter, which has less "beating” attacks, would make it almost devoid of damage.
Therefore, while spearing the attacks of Shabby and Ashley, he began training that he would be subjected to the armored part of his armor for those attacks that he decided he could not.
The first day of that training will be unavailable with armor, with multiple slashes in the arms and neck, and each time it will roll around in pain.
The figure resembled half a serving being beaten to pieces, funny from the edge, and the mercenaries around them laughed, “What are you doing?", "Do you challenge Theron to battle with that degree of movement”, etc.
But when Ashley and Shabby first heard his thoughts, they couldn't hide their surprise at the flexible thoughts.
Mercenaries who have actually stood on the battlefield, if that's also a veteran mercenary, sometimes dare to take it with armor.
Normally, however, even if you can't trust your armor's defenses and can't avoid them, most of the time you make the choices you receive with weapons and shields. There is also the issue of the durability of armor, and it is usually inconceivable that tactics assume to be received with armor.
The fifth day, the first of that training, was just beyond my reach, but from the sixth day of the following day, I was almost able to take it with armor.
In Shabby's light attack of Sabel, there is little damage, but in Ashley's large two-handed sword, the damage can go through even from above the armor.
For this reason, he made bruises all over his body after the next day, hanging healing magic over and over again in places not seen by people.
The mercenaries gradually rethought their minds to the appearance of Ray, who rose again and again.
They didn't know Nixwestis' defense, because Ray only seemed to stand up with his guts, but some even seemed impressed by the way he still stood up, even as he continued to be attacked by two men, Shabby, a mentor, and Ashley, known as the rehearsal Who?
Day seven, you won't be able to prevent deadly damage until you both attack. Still, I don't get to attack from myself.
On the eighth day, returning to one-on-one training with Shabby, his movements had been incredibly “clean" for several days. In the evening he had raised his spear arm to the point where he could put one in five in Shabby.
Shabby had gotten here and was beginning to think he had a chance.
(My Sabel skills don't extend to Theron, but the level is forty-five, and I didn't expect it to get this far in this short time. This guy's level of mastery is probably over thirty. With this guy's armor defense, if it works, he can beat Theron. But I still feel like I'm missing something...)
Ray finished his eight-day training as he was about to cry over the pain of his training.
(Mr. Shabby's sabel is a metal stick that just dropped the blade, and Ashley's wooden sword weighs in, and if you get hit with something like that, it's set to hurt. But if I don't do this, I'll be stuck when the magic fails. Besides, if you think about the future, there's no harm in doing it. If you don't think so, it's too tight for me, not even M... and Nixwestis is sturdy, isn't it? It's not scratched at all, and what's going on?
What he doesn't know, besides weight loss and defense enhancement, his armor, Nixwestis, was also granted a simple automatic repair feature. If not heavily damaged, the surface scratch level is a specification that is automatically repaired using the wearer's magic.
This feature is also granted to his weapon, Album Corne, but he was unaware of the detailed performance.
This technique was not common in the technique that only a famous Dwarf worker was capable of. Even his novel contemplated a "once” setting, but he had forgotten the fine setting itself, just an impression with sturdy armor.
