Lesson 66: The Human Horse Race

The Rays were northbound on a central street through the prairie.

At first, the meadow as far as I could see meant that not only Ray, but also the face of the Marcut Mercenaries (Red Arms) was exciting.

But after three days, I get tired of landscapes that are just monotonous.

And I began to pray to get to Netherton, the main city in the central region, soon.

August 15th.

Around noon that day, he said he was arriving in Netherton in about two hours, and he said, "We're going to make it dinner!" Hamish Markat's order goes down, and the line goes into the square by the street.

The meadow area of the central street is equipped with a square where breaks can be made every few km (Kimmel). This is because we envisage using it for a break or camp in the legions heading to Lukes. As a result, there are mostly small rivers flowing in the square, allowing the horses to be watered.

Once in the square, the captains of each squad assign roles such as watching and caring for horses to the crew.

The Rays had been treated as Hamish direct reports and had received orders from his deputy, Alberic Auger.

"Ray, you and Ryan take care of the horse. Ash and Stella are on guard. Luna and Ione got lunch from Squad Five..."

Initially, Luna and Ione were never assigned a job because of being escorted, but Luna started suing Hamish directly for a job.

"Let us do something too. Even if it's nominally for escorts, it's actually for us to fight together."

"Right......" Hamish thinks,

"Fine. Get under Al's command with the Rays. Al, I'm sorry, but take care of him."

"Fine, but think about what you'd treat me like because I'm not a member"

The Markat Mercenary Corps (Red Arms) has a unique and strict code (rules) that members must follow.

Ray, Ashley, Stella, and Ryan are not a problem because they are also part of the Red Arms, but Luna and Ione are not members. Alberic cared about that.

In the end, Luna and Ione were equivalents of the team outside of the fight, and the two learned how to do the Markat Mercenaries (Red Arms) (the rules) while Ashley and the others taught them.

By the time the Red Arms mercenaries had finished eating, the beast slave Uno ran under Ray.

"The Centaurs are approaching. Five hundred or more as far as I can see. How do you feel?"

Sitting on the grass, Ray stood up in a hurry, relaxing and drinking water from the water bottle.

"Are you a human horse tribe! Where!"

Uno pointed west,

"Over there," he said, quickly revealing himself on a hilltop about a hundred meters ahead of him by a distinct silhouette of the Humane Horse Clan.

Its hands hold about three melts of spears, and the Red Arms mercenaries rush to take their weapons.

But the mercenaries stood on their sudden appearance.

"Calm down!" Hamish sipped and the mercenaries' agitation quickly subsided.

"Al, Ray, come with me. Gareth, gather everyone together," Hamish says, walking out toward the Humans.

Ray rushes behind the two, further following Uno and Seyce as they defend Ray's back.

Approaching about thirty melts to the Humane Horse Clan, Hamish asked the Humane Horse Clan for their purpose with a loud voice (dai-dai) he had worked out on the battlefield.

"We're mercenaries hired by the Blacksmith Guild! I am not hostile to you!

One human horse warrior slowly comes forward in Hamish's words.

"I am Lieva Sorrell, chief of the Sorrell tribe! I'm sure your lord is Lord Hamish Markat of the Mercenary Corps of Markat."

Hamish is surprised that he was suddenly named.

"I don't know. I'm Hamish Markat, what can I do for you?

Leeva does not answer the question and asks further.

"So is there someone there who will be the" White Master ”? I'd like to talk to him."

Now Ray is surprised.

Luna, who hastily pursued her as she patrolled to find out how to answer, speaks to Leeva.

"I'm Luna Lockhart. As you may not remember, I met you with my father and brothers seven years ago."

Leeva stared seriously at Luna's face,

"I remember that brunette. You were a girl who wasn't a Lockhart warrior."

"Exactly. You're also calling me to the festival."

Leeva nods "um,"

"It's got something to do with you too. So I'm listening," he says without saying, telling Hamish again that he wants to talk to the White Army Master.

I wonder what's wrong with Hamish, but in the meantime Ray leaves a step forward.

"Who I have been called a white warrior."

Ray's figure at that time is black leather armor and brown cloak for disguise, plus around twenty and younger, sends a gaze as to whether the Sorel warriors, including Leeva, really are.

"Fair enough. Then I'd like to ask you and your lord to reconcile. It's a serious battle without a clue."

Ray is puzzled by the sudden offer.

"I have no reason to have to play a serious battle. Ray, we're going back to everyone."

Hamish had an intuitive understanding of Leeva's power as a warrior. With Ray's strength today, he believed that using magic would not be a battle and would cost him his life the worst. That's why I refused before Ray said anything.

"Then we can't move on. If you don't work with me, you're not going through here."

Hamish giggles at Leeva's provocative words.

"Then I just need you to push me through. Don't lick the Mercenaries."

The word is not heard by the members in the rear, but the atmosphere of one-touch immediacy is conveyed, with the weapon in his hand and his expression tightened.

That's when two horseback rides came running down the hill with fierce momentum. It wasn't a human race, it was a man's horse to ride.

The martial bone leather armor and metal helmet, the back bracketed with a bastard sword, the horse was a stunning military horse called a frogman horse.

He masterfully manipulates the military horse, and if he pulls out his sword, he shows a horseback assault (charge) and an invisible run.

As Hamish tries to pull his sword out of the momentum, a young woman's bright voice sounds.

"Mr. Leeva! It's terrible to leave us!

"Wait! Selah!" I can also hear a young man.

When you stop the horse in front of the Hamish, you jump right off the horse.

She was a beautiful woman with golden hair, although she was wearing martial arts leather armor. The young man following behind it had an atmosphere very similar to hers and was a beautiful man with a soft expression.

"Nice to meet you! You're Hamish Markat from Red Arms!

Everyone, including Reeva in that cheerful voice, is drained of poison.

"I'm Serra. I say Seraphine Lockhart! I hear stories from my master! I can't believe I'm meeting a real Marcut Mercenary Corps (Red Arms)! ……

Serra is talking in high tension, but Hamish and the others can't keep up with that sudden change of circumstances.

Three more horseback rides rush in from behind them. Young men and women, who look the same age as Theo's, but all showed brilliant riding skills.

"Serra... you too..." Luna leaves in front.

I noticed that. Serra hugs Luna.

"Luna! You were with me! You said Brother Zach was supposed to be here soon, but I didn't expect him with the Red Arms!

Behind that, the man bows his head alternately to Leeva and Hamish to apologize.

"I apologize for the disturbance my sister caused. My name is Theophilus Lockhart. Call me Theo. Lord Hamish has heard rumors from his mentor, Gideon Dyer."

So Hamish swallowed up the situation a little too, loosening his expression.

"Were you the brother of Lord Rodrick and Lord Zacharias, disciples of Lord Gideon? I'm late, but it's Hamish Markat. I'm here with my deputy, Alberic Auger, and my successor, Ray Arklight."

That's what I'm going to say. I'm going to introduce Alberic and Ray.

Leeva had no choice but to laugh bitterly at the situation.

Somehow, the atmosphere on the ground loosened, but Hamish wasn't loosening his guard.

"Earlier, I can't let you seriously compete with our Ray"

That's where Theo turns to the look of Leeva freaking out.

"What are you talking about? Maybe all of a sudden you didn't talk about trying."

Leeva said with a flat expression, "Naturally. It's our sorrow," he replies.

"You can't do that. We need to talk properly..."

So now I head to Hamish and bow my head big.

"Excuse me. I think Mr. Leeva was poorly explained and misunderstood, but I'm not talking about wanting to kill each other. I'll be in between, so why don't you just calm down and listen to me for once?"

"I don't mind that," Hamish admitted after seeing Leeva.

Serra was happy to be reunited with Luna, but she has interrupted Theo's story.

"Mr. Hamish! Give me an audition! Please!

Once again, the atmosphere on the field changed with gallery.

Theo looks out for Serra with a bitter smile.

"Read some more air. Now we have to talk about Mr. Leeva and the others."

"Yep! I'd like to have it auditioned right now... but I think we can talk about it later..."

"You're no different, Serra. Huuuuuuuuuuuuuu......" Luna laughs.

"Now join the Mercenary Corps of Marcuts (Red Arms). Mr. Leeva, please pick someone to go with. If we all go, we'll be able to rub it."

Leeva also had to nod at the partition without saying whether Theo was present or not.

"Mm-hmm. I'll take about three of them. Of course, you guys are coming with me. I think I'm the only one who can talk faster."

Ray can't follow this situation.

(I wonder if people like Theo and Serra will hit Luna's brother-in-law and sister. And I can't believe the Lockhart family is here... I bet this is what the gods mean by "making the way” because of Zach's name just now... but what the hell is “trying”...)

I didn't know what was going to happen to him, but I still only knew it was going to be a big story about me.

"But those two are good arms. You look stronger than Stella. Maybe as much as Valeria."

Ray gives a surprise look when Alberic squeals like that.

"You only look about my age."

"Mercenaries are definitely in fourth grade. I think we'll only be dealing with the deputy class."

Quaternary mercenaries must be at least Level 50, and only Elite Mercenary Corps (Red Arms) captains or deputy captains have reached it.

"Besides, you seem to be a better rider than Elias. I can't believe Hamish was about to pull out his sword."

That's what I say and laugh at.

Squad Four, led by Elias Nifer, is a unit specializing in riding combat that is rare for mercenaries.

An elite force that also plays its true part in the battles of Fort Chulock and Pericritle, but said the two younger riders are on top of it.

"That's awesome......" Ray exclaims.

"Well, I don't think it would be weird for someone with the name Lockhart. Neither is the famous Sir Zacharias, because his male, Sir Rodrick, is also a fierce man called Giant Slayer, a giant killer in his teens. I've seen him once, but it's not strange that his brother or sister is just as strong because Hamish was so impressed with him."

"Really?" Ray couldn't say anything more.

When he joins the mercenaries in the Red Arms, he says, "There will be trouble for other travellers here," points to the hill at the end of the square, says, "Let's go over there" and leads the way.

"You won't be annoyed around here," Theo says over a loose hill and goes down the horse.

When Hamish and the others finished their journey, they said, "Well, I'll take a moment," and started talking.
