Lesson 89: Decisions

September 4.

When Ray and Luna woke up, they told their companions that the gods had appeared in their dreams. They also tell him that the god of nothingness (Vanitas) is lurking in the wilderness of despair (Desperationis) and that they want to confront each other.

Ashley tried to oppose going to the wilderness of despair, but would be unable to argue with the word for the children.

(For the kids... was Ray thinking that far... but I don't think I can go further into the wilderness of despair and come back alive. analogy, even if my fathers were there......)

Side by side with the contemplating Ashley, Stella disagrees in a strong tone.

"That place is just a dangerous place! If Vanitas is there, it will be more dangerous! You can't come back alive!

Ione, from the Land of the Demons (Sochius), nods loudly to a claim similar to her cry.

"It is a miracle that the Rays were able to step through the wilderness of despair. The outstanding warriors and spellmen of Sochius have tried many times before, and no one has returned. With that in mind, I'd like you to rethink it now."

She was also against risking her beloved Luna.

"I do think it's dangerous. But I don't think it would be a bad bet for a minute if Mr. Hamish and Lord Elise of Sochius could help."

Luna was going to ask the Moon Demon Elise Nortier and others, good magicians, for reinforcements.

"I agree with Luna. At that time, I was the only one who could use magic. I don't think I'll ever be late for those demons if Mr. Hamish and the others help me and Lord Eelis come further. And this time, some Ashes are under God's protection."

Hamish remained silent as various opinions flew. And as the argument began its grandeur, it began to speak in a calm tone.

"I agree with Ray..."

Stella said in that word, "I can say it because I haven't seen it!" and pinch his mouth.

Hamish replied, "You're absolutely right," without being offended by it,

"But if Ray thinks our warrior has a chance, I believe it. First, you have the opportunity to defeat the enemy's best friend. Leaving it alone isn't right for sex..."

There he mumbles slightly and gives a rare and hazy look.

"I honestly don't know what the world is like. But if our children, grandchildren, and the rest of us struggle, I want to do what I can. I can't imagine my grandson."

Ray bowed his head small to Hamish and asked Uno, who was holding back, for his opinion.

"Let me hear Mr. Uno's opinion. You guys had the hardest time last time."

Uno bowed his head "if you will,"

"We only obey Master Arklight," he said, then staring firmly into Ray's eyes.

"But if I may give you my personal opinion, that place is not where we can be cleaned up with the word danger. Traps that affect only beasts, demons that strike without making them feel any signs, sudden gusts of temper... I don't think you should go if you think about Master Arklight's safety"

Everyone is silent in the words of Uno, who is a skill.

Ray broke that silence.

"What if, in addition to the elites of the Mercenary Corps of Markat (Red Arms), Mr. Uno has joined dozens of beastmen and brilliant demonic magicians?"

After answering that question, "It's a difficult question,"

"I think with all that fighting power, the survival rate will increase. Of course, only those who follow Lord Arklight's orders with certainty."

"Would you agree with me if I could muster all that fighting power"

"It's dangerous, but if it's Lord Arklight's will, I have to agree"

"Thank you," Ray bows his head. And declare it to all.

We're heading to Vanitas' Desperate Wilderness with all the necessary fighting power.

Stellas, who were against his strong will, also had to agree.

He then tells the Holy King Augustino, military bureaucrat Carlo Parenti who assists the Holy King, deputy general Ranjes Fortunato and executive bishop Maggioni Gastaldi that he met God in his dreams.

"I have received revelation from God. To confront the evil gods, they say head to the land of the devil tribe. So we can no longer go to the Holy City with you."

In his words the Holy Kings nodded honestly, "As you please".

Ray, who thought he would disagree, is confused by the feeling of eating a shoulder watermark.

"I thought you'd disagree?

In response to that question, the Holy King replies, "We also had a divine revelation," and Parenti takes over the story.

"Beginning with His Majesty, the four of us heard the voice of God of Light (Lucidus) in our dreams. For God says," My Son's Word is my Word. Whatever choice you make, follow him ”..."

Explain that the Holy Kings took the word of Lucidus and decided to obey whatever order it might be.

"You all have God... so..."

Ray is surprised by the hand-windling of the gods, but is relieved that he has now gained freedom of movement.

"The Evil God is not the Dark God (Noctis). It's the god of nothingness. I fight with my people to seal Vanitas. You must all act to restore the Holy Kingdom to the right path."

Though I am surprised by the word that the Evil God is not a Noctis, I never pinched any more questions than Lucidus said Ray's words were his own.

"If we win the confrontation with Vanitas, we will definitely head to the Holy Capital. I don't know how far ahead we are."

The Holy King said, "As you please. We will wait for Lord Arklight, the Son of God," he said, bowing his head.

Ray talks about the ex-beast slaves.

"I would like to ask the beasts who were slaves to cooperate in the fight against Vanitas earlier, will they be okay"

Parenti answers the question.

"Of course it is. If we merely expose the injustice of the Holy King's House and the Church, it is enough that there are two hundred of them. I have no problem thinking of escorting His Majesty or Lord Gastaldi, or bringing more than half of them with me."

"Now let me call you from here"

Ray immediately gives instructions to Uno to refrain behind him.

"As I was saying, please recruit an applicant. The required number of people is about 100. If you don't gather the numbers, you can just gather them. But just be sure to tell them there's a danger."

Uno answered "Your Grace" and bowed his head and disappeared from the spot.

When Ray turned back to the Holy Kings,

"Now go to negotiations with the Empire, but think about what happens in case the Empire betrays you, and put the Beast Man on surveillance near the border. And then I ask you to send regular contact to the people of the meadows. If the Imperial Army moves, the people of the meadows will take care of it."

Ray did not trust the Empire's Prince Leopold or anyone trying to put him on the Emperor's throne. For that reason, he intended to create a system that the Imperial Army could deal with even if it ran wild, and with that he held the prince in charge.

"I'll take care of it"

Fortunato bows his head big.

Luke's Holy King's Army then set out for the Holy Capital.

After seeing it through, Ray ordered a thousand and five hundred meadow people and the Marcut Mercenaries to head to Lark Hill, the empire's front-line base.

Uno, under Ray's orders, assembled the former chief of the Beast Slave Squad.

That number is ten. The Force Leader was also the chief surrogate in his position of overseeing the beastly slaves of his clan.

The races vary from silver wolves, black wolves, white tigers, etc., but they can all be seen as hands-on from their own appearance.

"Communicate Lord Arklight's orders."

Declaring so, the troop leaders simultaneously pounded one knee and bowed their heads. Because Uno found himself acting on behalf of the superior.

"After finishing negotiations with the Caerm Empire, Master Archrite heads east of the Aquila Mountains to the" Eternal Darkness (Kwaedam Tenebre) ". Furthermore, he entered a danger zone called Desperationis, where he was confronted by the evil gods lurking. We want you to be a good escort."

The troop leaders are quietly listening without questioning the story of a confrontation with the evil gods, even without clapping.

"As I'm sure you already understand, Master Arklight is at the top of the Order. Protecting him takes precedence over anything else. Yesterday, Master Arklight ordered me to" prohibit you from endangering your life cheaply ”. However, that wording does not apply with regard to this mandate. That one is also a hope for us. Including me, you must give up your life to protect me. In other words, that much skill and mental acumen is required."

The troop leaders quietly bow their heads.

"... You said you would recruit applicants after recognizing that Master Arklight is a very dangerous task..."

The captains are slightly puzzled by the words. We were only in a position to take orders, because we couldn't possibly volunteer for a mission.

Uno ignores the perplexity and continues to talk.

"That one's sweet. But it's hard to say they understand us. For that reason, I call my troops by the authority vested in me by Lord Arklight."

So the troop leaders bow their heads again with a relief look on their face.

"Select ten elite men over each tribe and have them come under my command. Meet my team as soon as you're equipped."

The troop leaders said, "" Ha! When he said, "" Understood, Uno left the scene.

The remaining troop leaders cram into the same black werewolf troop leaders as Uno.

"Who is he? It feels different from ours."

The Black Wolf troop leader answers that question.

"This is my family, Aldo. I accompanied the Demonic Crusaders as a Gastaldi, but I just heard that they were under someone's command, and I haven't heard the details."

"Isn't that a good idea? It is the direct report of the superior" manifestation of the God of Light (Lucidus) ”under the Archbishop. We only obey the superior."

When the Silver Wolf troop leader said so, he snorted and dissolved as though the others were indeed right.

Ray, who led the people of the meadows, was on his way to Lark Hill. Travel speeds are about seven or eight kimmels an hour and slow for the people of the meadows.

Still arrive in the meadows west of Lark Hill around noon.

Reeva Sorrell, a representative of the Humane Horse tribe and chief of the Sorrell tribe who saw Ray, welcomes him. Behind him, as many as seventy thousand meadow people were mouth-wateringly pleased with the return of the "White King”.

"I'm relieved to see you're safe," Leeva laughs.

"I thank Mr. Leeva for his concern and troubles. I apologize for entrusting you with the command of this great army."

When I bow my head like that, Leeva panics.

"If it's for the king, there's no hard work. Besides, there are no fools here who can't keep the king's orders."

That's how I laugh, but in fact, those who wanted to rendezvous with Ray and were about to run wild continued, and each time he responded. I couldn't let it push me by force, forcing me to struggle considerably.

"I'm going into Lark Hill like this. I think we can go back in the evening, but we'll still be camping here today."

"So you're leaving for the meadows tomorrow"

"Yeah, I'm going to. We have a lot to talk about, because we can do that on the move to the meadows."

"So what will you do with the escort? You may keep your current escort."

Around Ray are the elites of a thousand and five hundred meadow people. All of them are fierce men who represent the tribe and are too powerful as escorts.

"The Imperial Army will be on alert if you just take all this elite. Besides, it's in the city, so it won't be a good place for you guys. With the Mercenaries, it's enough."

That's how Ray laughs.

Leeva didn't trust the Imperial Army, so she said "But" and tried to recruit more.

"Mr. Ray is right about the escort," Theophilus Lockhart added to the conversation.

"But. It's important if something happens to the king. At least you'll have to take a hundred rides."

Theo approached Leeva and began to whisper.

"As Mr. Leeva thinks, the Imperial Army cannot be trusted. But I think it's best if you give me a look here."

"What do you mean? We can't even cross that wall. I can't even help you out there."

Return it in the same low voice. Theo smiled back at it,

"I'm preparing measures for when my brother needs them. Mr. Leeva and his men will be ready to break through the castle gate as soon as we receive our signal. The signal is either Mr. Ray's magic, or he waves the flag wide from the walls."

Reeva is convinced by the explanation and loosens her expression.

"Okay. Let's promise we'll head to the castle gate with the signal. If Zach's ready, don't worry about anything."

"That's the thing," Theo said, leaving Leeva.

"What were you talking about," Ray asked, concerned about the content of the conversation between Theo and Leeva.

"Don't worry, Brother Zach is preparing a plan."

"Mr. Zach!" Surprised, "Theo shook his head sideways small, laughing," It's a lie, "he said.

When Ray is out of time,

"Yeah, but if I didn't tell you, you wouldn't have given in to attaching the elite of the Humane Horse Clan. This time it's just a discussion, so I don't think the people of the meadows should be with us. Isn't that right?

"Yes, I do, but... I can feel you cheating on my side"

"Mr. Ray decides not to ask. You're a mentor, so others have to think about these things. This is also for my brother."

"It would help if you could say that. But how far was Mr. Zach talking to Mr. Theo? Let me hear it next time you have time."

Ray thanked Theo for his attention, even though he was frightened.

After having lunch, Ray led the Red Arms elite to the castle gate at Lark Hill.
