Leathers sector, Timbra sub-sector, Crest.

This is Noah's second time here.

During the Damocles Crusade, it briefly served as a forward base deep into the Tau Empire.

The last time Noah came, he also stopped here for a short replenishment.

When Noah completed his mission, he was supposed to return here, but was accidentally swept to the Skarrus sector by a warp storm.

As a result, after several years, he returned here again. It must be said that this was also a coincidence in a sense.

Fortunately, there shouldn't be any conspiracy this time...right?

"Don't we need to evacuate the people up there?" Cassia asked.

"Need not."

Noah looked at the planet outside the window and said without turning his head, "The loyal servants of the Empire have been allowed to evacuate, but the Inquisition believes that the native population of this planet has been corrupted by the aliens. Letting them go to other worlds will only spread the pollution. Therefore, this planet must be thoroughly purified."

Cassia nodded thoughtfully and said nothing more.

She actually didn't care whether the people above would die or not. Such things happened every day in the empire anyway.

The Inquisition's Black Ship slowly entered the planet's orbit, and as the transport ship carrying the Astra Militarum, the Ministry of the Interior, and other government officials left the planet's atmosphere, the Black Ship dropped an inconspicuous torpedo on the planet below.

The torpedo fell through the atmosphere to the ground, finally flashing and bursting with a burst of light that was clearly visible in space.

With the explosion point as the center, a red storm representing destruction quickly spread out, eventually sweeping across the entire planet. The spaceport was also affected by the shock wave of the explosion, and its part on the planet's surface was quickly destroyed, with the rest thrown into space.

In a very short time, the planet was completely destroyed.

Kliptman believes this is a necessary sacrifice.

Since they cannot defend them, they cannot allow these worlds to become forward bases for the Tau to invade the human empire.

Very extreme.

But it fits Kliptman’s character.

Kliptman sent a communication request. He smiled and said in the holographic projection:

"Sir Noah, it's time for us to leave."

Noah nodded slightly and asked:

"continue or not?"

"of course."

Kliptman checked the star map and replied casually, "There are still a dozen worlds waiting to be exterminated. We will be busy for a long time."

He sighed, as if lamenting his hard work.

"Yes."

Noah nodded in admiration.

He once again deeply realized that Klippetman was a lunatic who signed the extermination order without mercy.

But that's true, otherwise how could he become an inquisitor?

How can a judge not be crazy!

-----------------

To be clear, although the Tau are weak, they are not actually ignorant.

There is a Retribution-class battleship in the Damocles Expeditionary Fleet, as well as various types of cruisers, so it is unlikely that they would be stupid enough to regard a Moon-class cruiser as a battleship.

In addition, the Tau also have many human servant armies, collectively known as the Guvisa.

Some of these vassal troops were those who stayed in the Tau colonies at the end of the Damocles Crusade, some were from the human world conquered by the Tau, and some were Inquisitors who voluntarily surrendered to the Tau.

Apart from anything else, this Inquisitor alone can provide the Tau people with a large amount of intelligence about the Human Empire.

Aris Ypsilon.

For a long time, this was the capital of the Timbra sub-sector.

It was not until more than a decade ago that the arrival of the Tau people caused this world to publicly declare rebellion and declare its independence from the Human Empire.

The human empire also responded quickly, and the Damocles expedition fleet soon made Aris Ipsilon taste the sweetness of the empire's iron fist. The ruler of the planet was publicly tried, and the empire's interests in the colony were confirmed.

Until the second Tau invasion.

"Hold the line!"

In the hive city of Alora, Governor Lyon inspected the various battle lines in the upper hive and loudly encouraged the morale of the PDF:

"We have sent an interstellar message to the Empire for help. Reinforcements will arrive soon! But before that, brave sons and daughters of the Empire! We must hold the line, protect our homeland, and drive the aliens out!"

His passionate speech boosted the morale of many soldiers, but some soldiers were still demoralized.

A young PDF soldier was hiding behind the defense line holding a laser gun. Hearing the Governor's propaganda, he couldn't help but ask:

"Why must we resist the Tau?"

"Shut up!"

An old soldier scolded.

"Did I said wrong thing?"

The young PDF was dissatisfied and said with his neck stiff, "When the Tau people came more than ten years ago, I experienced for the first time what it felt like to have a full meal, and for the first time I knew that food has taste!

"The Empire drove the Tau away, they executed the Governor, and what did the new Governor bring us? Higher and higher tithes and more and more work in the factories, but they won't even let us fill our stomachs!

"But now, since the Tau are coming back, why should we still listen to the orders of this damn Imperial Governor?"

He became more and more excited as he spoke, and his voice became louder and louder, causing all the PDFs around him to look over.

But none of them agreed with him, even though they might have wanted to in their hearts. But at this moment, they all lowered their heads in silence, their bodies trembling slightly with fear.

The young PDF finally realized that something was wrong, and he felt a shadow falling before his eyes.

He looked up, his face pale, for Governor Lyon was standing before him.

Governor Lyon looked at him and said word by word:

"This planet belongs to the human empire and the great emperor!"

"What else can you give? What else can you give to the Emperor besides your tithes?

"The reason why the tithes faced by this planet are getting higher and higher is because of the betrayal of your fathers. They surrendered to the despicable xenos, bringing shame to this planet and all of you. All of you should and must atone for the Emperor!

"Perhaps you have long forgotten, but it was the great sacrifice of the Emperor that gave humans the right to survive in the galaxy, not the Tau you mentioned."

Leon's tone was extremely cold. He pulled out his pistol and pointed it at the young soldier.

The latter was already frightened and the pale-faced soldier tried to beg for mercy with trembling lips, but he found that he could not utter a word.

"Oh shit!"

Lyon suddenly yelled angrily and kicked the soldier, kicking him away from the defense line.

"Go away! If you cowards don't want to sacrifice your lives for the Emperor, then go away! Go and beg for mercy from your alien masters, and let them give you a bite of food!"

Leon turned away indifferently, leaving the frightened young man shivering on the ground.

One of his personal guards stepped forward and said in a low voice:

"Captain, why don't you kill him? Being soft-hearted is a taboo on the battlefield. The political commissar taught you that! If you can't do it, let the brothers do it!"

Leon glanced at him:

"You think I'm soft-hearted?"

"Isn't it?" the guard asked back.

"Do you think we can hold on?" Lyon asked back.

"Can't hold on."

The guard answered simply, "Unless we have reinforcements, but do we have any?"

"No."

Leon showed a bitter expression, "The astropathic signal has just been sent out. It will take at least several weeks for reinforcements to arrive. We can't hold out that long."

"Captain, do you want to surrender to the aliens?"

His guards looked somewhat sad, and another guard silently placed his hand on the pistol at his waist.

"Get out of here too! Damn it! When did I ever surrender?"

Leon cursed and kicked him, "While I was on the battlefield killing enemies for the Emperor, you were still at home playing with piss and mud!"

The guard didn't dodge, but staggered a bit after being kicked, then stepped forward with a smile:

"Captain, why did you let him go?"

Lyon said coldly:

"I'd rather see those cowards flee than shoot their comrades in the back during a fight!"

The guard nodded in agreement and asked:

"So you're still soft-hearted?"

"That's it."

Leon sighed, "After all, what he said is partly true."

The guard did not deny it.

Leon looked at him and sneered:

"And, you bastard. If I hadn't been soft-hearted, do you think you could have survived until now? You would have been killed by me the first time we fought the orcs. Do you still have a chance to stay with me and become a noble lord?"

"Cough cough..."

The guard coughed twice awkwardly, causing others to burst into laughter.

"My lord! My lord!"

A servant stumbled over and reported breathlessly, "Astral Voice... The Astral Voice Choir received a signal. The Imperial Fleet received our request for assistance and they are heading towards us..."

Leon was startled at first, then a look of ecstasy appeared on his face. He hurriedly grabbed the attendant's shoulder and asked:

"How many days will it take for the reinforcements to arrive? What did they say?"

The attendant continued intermittently:

"They... asked us to prepare for retreat. There will be a ship in orbit to pick us up... and... they asked us to confirm the number of the alien fleet."

Leon was poured with a bucket of cold water, and the joyful expression on his face froze.

Constellation, bridge.

"Quantity," Noah asked, sitting in his command throne.

White said quickly:

"Five merchant-class cruisers. This should be their patrol fleet. According to the intelligence transmitted by the Astronomican Choir, there are at least hundreds of alien spacecraft of various types in the orbit of Aris Ipsilon."

White paused for a moment and reported:

"They are moving away from us, my Lord."

Noah commanded:

"Nono, lock them."
