Lesson 10: Prisoner's Dilemma
A prisoner's dilemma is a game theory in which individuals are set to ultimately be at a disadvantage in the event of more than one prioritizing their own interests.
Sora explained to Chaff and the others the judicial dealings she often makes with prisoners who are sent out to meet her.
"I don't know what it is."
Zez roars with a puzzled face. The same goes for Gorge and Kohl.
Chaff put his arms together without giving up and looked difficult.
By contrast, Rhulu seems to have understood.
"I see, show the prisoners the bait, let them fall into suspicious darkness, let them crack their mouths"
"Boulder, Lulu is quick to understand."
─ Sometimes I wonder if you're the same reincarnator I am.
Though Sora is frightened inside, she sends praise.
"Prisoners are the town officials. Many people have discovered injustice, so tailor it to the killer mixed with poisonous wheat"
Make the town clerk a scapegoat and steer clear of the spearhead heading for the territory of the Marquis of Beltze.
That's Sola's plan.
Sania raised her hand and drew attention while still worrying about the chaff she contemplated.
"What do you do with the evidence? Sola's got eyes on the church, so if the evidence is just a confession, she might find herself on the side of the town official."
As Sania spoke her concerns, Razette and Gorge nodded as they agreed.
The Church is hostile to Sora, who is cordial with the Wizards.
However, Sola is highly popular from non-believers because she lays down good governance.
There were no notable failures, and the dissatisfaction of the faithful was only still dull.
The problem is that when it is discovered that a crime has been rubbed against an official, the Church gains a great name for criticizing Sola.
It could be the result of pouring gasoline into a spark that was dull.
"So you use the prisoner's dilemma."
Sora was going to apply the prisoner's dilemma to stop the church from moving.
Only Lulu, who understands what it means, nods with a convincing face.
With the chaff roaring with wrinkles carved between his eyebrows later, the concept moves on.
"Weaken the power of the Church in the Viscount Territory and put a collar on the town official. Simultaneously elect a scapegoat from a town official."
Sola, already thinking of means, turned her face to Chaff.
"Chaff, what are you gonna do?
To Sora's inquiry, Chaff frowns uncomfortably.
"... do you think I can help you get into a trap, even though you're working wrongdoers?
Chaff blamed Sola with his gaze.
Sora opens her mouth as she takes it head-on.
"I would if I were to save the people."
"Leave the decision to make the inhabitants look dead, even temporarily, and don't speak beautifully!
Chaff shouts out his anger.
Lulu, sharpening his eyes, tried to move, but was controlled by Sola's gaze and turned to him dissatisfied.
Sora stares back at Chaff with her eyes like she sees a poorly listened child.
"What you say is just. Sure, I'm wrong. But I won't cover up the fact that this is my best hand."
Chaff stares at Sola, who cut off the honesty argument easily.
Seeing Sora take it without being slight, Chaff felt the question was useless and sighed out bitterly.
"... only this time, let's meditate our eyes"
I don't have an alternative, I'm no different than a kid who's wasting his time just continuing to deny it.
Chaff slowly poked his fist at Sola, promising to overlook him.
"But it is my role as a consultant to correct Viscount Kleinsert's mistake. I will surely deliver greater results than you do with the righteous policies you cut and throw away!
Chaff's declaration of war echoed into the room.
Well, and Sola leaked a small exhale.
Sora, who laughed inadvertently and challengingly, looked around at the faces of the room.
"You all heard what I just said, didn't you?
Suddenly, rising with a serious face, Sola declares.
"With regard to the matter with Chaff, move at your discretion. I have no obligation to report to you.... you know what that means?
Suddenly, Chaff looks surprised at Sola for allowing discretion.
But the ministerial corps reacted differently.
Razette and Zez laughing bitterly that they had no choice, Lulu sighing majestically like it didn't seem funny, Sania whining to herself "I have to be like that" with a troubled face.
Gorge is uptight for some reason, and Cole looked like he was thinking about what he could do.
But who doesn't understand what it means doesn't exist alone.
Sora smashed her quietly gripped fist into Chaff's fist.
"Try it."
When Sola took it and stood, Chaff pulled his fist and left the room silently.
Razette calls out to Sola, staring at the closed door.
"You missed your guess."
"You mean the special effects? I didn't expect that much. Besides, this is good."
Sola returned an exact answer to Razette's dialogue, where the subject fell out.
Sora hoped there might be a cure unique to the world where magic is.
If you look at Chaff's attitude, you will see that there is no convenient object such as magic treatment.
Sola looks around and starts giving instructions.
"Zez goes around the neighboring villages and towns and examines the distribution of the developers of Mycobacteriosis. Consider quarantine in the name of a plague investigation."
"Copy that. We're gonna rent a boat and a few guys from the vigilante."
"Oh, take it. But don't get me started on wheat."
Zez, who was given a map by Razette, leaves the room.
Sola shifted her gaze to Cor.
"Host a cooking contest. Wheat-free staple foods are the theme. Use the kiosk union to communicate. I will partially cover the cost of purchasing ingredients only if I cook according to the theme during the event."
It is a proposal to curb the consumption of wheat and rye, which is the cause of strawberry disease.
However, Viscountry finances are tight and it is difficult to hold long term.
It was not beyond the scope of the life-extension procedure.
Cole hands on the door of the room in the face of tension.
Though I don't know, I was feeding Sola some barley horns. I guess you feel responsible.
"Cor, no one is dead yet. What do you think we need to do?
Sora quietly asks Cole's back.
"I know. This is my job."
I can't even feel the dust from my usual weakness, a solid voice came back.
"All right, get to work."
Sora smiled and sent Cole out.
Looking around at the one who remains, Sola lifts her hips out of bed.
"I'm going to meet the craftsmen I used to build the Lordship Hall. I already made what I needed for the plan."
They were prepared ahead of time.
Sania leaned her neck strangely.
"Why, are you finished already?
"... we were going to catch the officials."
Sania was convinced by Sora's words, which strayed her gaze.
But Razette was uncomfortable with Sora's tone.
I don't pursue Razette while I think she's going to be hiding something.
─ ─ It looks interesting, let's follow it later.
Under no circumstances was Razette the only one at my pace.
