Chapter 003

As a famous place, the Leaky Cauldron is too dark and dirty.

Several old women were sitting in the corner drinking sherry with small glasses, and one of them was smoking a long cigarette bag. A small man in a top hat is chatting with a bar owner with almost bald hair and looks like a deflated walnut.

Before Bert could speak, Professor McGonagall had already walked into the shop. As soon as the two entered the door, the chatter suddenly stopped. Everyone knew Professor McGonagall, and they smiled and waved at her.

The bar owner picked up a cup and said, “Professor McGonagall, freshmen?”

Professor McGonagall said to Tom, “I need to borrow your yard, and I have to pick up the last two freshmen today!” ”

“Is little Harry okay? He’s going to Hogwarts this year too! As if Tom was saying something pleasant, everyone else in the neighborhood listened.

“Harry will be picked up by Hagrid!” Professor McGonagall explained. “Time to go, Mr. Wessex, I’ll be in charge of sending you to Gringotts, and the rest will be fine because you buy it yourself!”

“I can solve the rest myself!” Burt and Professor McGonagall walked into the Broken Cauldron’s courtyard, where only the brick-stacked walls could be seen.

“The entrance to Diagon Alley is here, you have to remember how to enter Diagon Alley.” Professor McGonagall gently swiped her staff through the special spot on the stone wall on the wall and gently tapped three times, reminding, “Okay, stand back, Mr. Wessex.” ”

The brick that had been struck with his wand shook and began to move, and a small hole appeared in the middle, the opening of which grew larger and larger, and in a short time a wide archway appeared in front of them, wide enough for the two to pass in parallel, leading to a winding, cobbled paved street with no end in sight.

Professor McGonagall said to Bert, “Welcome to Diagon Alley. ”

“Thank you, it’s a fun place!” Bert’s face did not change in any way, and he did not step into Diagon Alley, he liked to look up and around, eager to see everything here in his eyes.

“I’ll see you at the academy in two months!” Professor McGonagall’s Phantom Transfiguration disappeared.

Bert walked to Gringotts at the street crossing, where there was a group of small creatures, a bit like gnomes, who were full of magic and even more powerful than ordinary wizards, who called goblins.

Bert passed through the guards at the door and reached the second door, the silver door was engraved with the following words: Please enter, stranger, but beware of what will happen to insatiable greed, blindly taking it, getting it for nothing, and you will be punished most severely….

He paused for a moment in front of the silver door, and a leprechaun ushered Burt into the marble hall, where about a hundred or so goblins sat on high stools behind a long line of counters, some weighing coins with copper scales, others examining gemstones with eyepieces, and hastily registering them in the large ledger.

“I need to exchange some pounds for galleons,” said the leprechaun on Bert’s counter, and he handed the old leprechaun a check filled with three thousand pounds, which was the tuition fee that his father Wessex had given Bert!

“The exchange of galleons and pounds is one to five, are you sure you want to exchange them?”

“Make sure, help me exchange it all, including 80% of the pounds on this bank card, into galleons!”

“1 gold gallon = 17 silver sico; 1 silver siko = 29 copper nats. The old goblin discovers that the customer is a rich Muggle wizard and sells Gringotts’ vault to Burt: “You need a private vault of your own, the cheapest vault in Gringotts costs only 500 gold gallons, and no one can open it without your consent.” ”

“Yes, I just need to lift five hundred galleons, and the rest of the galleons will all be deposited in the vault!” Receive a young leprechaun where to get a heavy bag, bank card and keys to the vault.

The bank card was paid for the work that Burt wrote, and he didn’t want to be financially motivated by his family.

Bert first visited the Lady Morkin Robe Store, where it was said to be the best, and after the short, stocky Lady Morkin helped measure his body shape, suggested that he go shopping for other supplies first.

He decided to buy a wand first, and Ollivander was one of the best in Diagon Alley, but the wand shop was small and broken, and the gold sign on the door had peeled off, which read: Ollivander : A well-made wand since 382 BC. In the dusty window, a wand sits lonely on a faded purple cushion.

After Bert entered the store, there was a jingling of bells at the door.

“Good morning.” A soft voice said, sounding in vain behind Bert.

Burt said softly, “Good morning, Mr. Ollivander, I need a wand!” ”

“Hmm.” Mr. Ollivander said, glancing at him with a sharp gaze.

“All right, Mr. Wessex, come on. Let me see. Ollivander pulled out a long tape measure with silver scales from his pocket.

“Which arm do you use to make your wand?”

Burt said: “I used to using my right hand. ”

“Raise your arms, okay!” He measured Bert, starting with his shoulders to his fingertips. Ollivander said while measuring, “Every Ollivander wand has a super magical substance, which is its essence, Mr. Wessex. We use unicorn hair, phoenix tail feathers…”

Bert tried to talk to himself about the old man, but finally gave up, presumably Ollivander said the same thing to everyone who entered the store.

“Well, Mr. Wessex, try this one. Made of maple and snake nerves. Eleven inches long. Nice, very flexible. You wave it and try. Bert took the wand, and immediately felt the magic power in his body instantly irritable, and Mr. Ollivander immediately snatched the wand from Bert’s hand, but it was too late, and the wooden table at the counter turned into powder.

“Oh, sorry, I didn’t mean to!” Burt said.

“Don’t worry kid, it’s not your fault, stay and it will be back to its original state!” Ollivander dismissed this and continued to rummage through a pile of wands to try.

Burt tried one stick after another. Ollivander, however, kept letting him try it, and the wands he had tried were stacked on the bench, piling higher and higher. The more wands were drawn from the shelves, the happier Ollivander seemed to seem, and Bert suspected that the other party was doing it on purpose.

“Made of mahogany wood and unicorn hair, eleven inches long, very powerful!”

As soon as Bert touched his wand, he felt that the magic power in his whole body was natural, and the moment he raised his wand, it seemed to return to the era of the Archmage, and the feeling of having everything in his hands was born!

With a flick of his flick, all the wands in the store fluttered up and flew around in obedience to his will.

“Stop Mr. Wessex, you’ll destroy all the wands here!” Ollivander couldn’t help but scream.

“Oh, sorry, quick recovery!” Sensing the consequences of his own cause, Bert tried McGonagall’s magic, and as expected, all wands were restored to their original positions.

Bert put away his wand in satisfaction and asked, “I’m sorry, how much is this wand?” ”

“Nine gallons, Mr. Wessex, your magic is amazing, I hope you can make good use of this wand!” Ollivander took Garon, who Bert handed over, watched the young child leave, and muttered, “Hopefully he won’t be the next mystery man!” ”
