Hearing his words, Chen Lihua sprayed the wine in her mouth towards Liu Longwei and coughed violently.

As if Liu Longwei knew what was coming for him, he dodged the wine flying towards his direction.

Seeing Chen Lihua's red face and continous coughing, he stood up and went behind her, patting her back, he said, "Sorry, take it easy".

Feeling Liu Longwei's hands on her back, Chen Lihua swatted his hand and pushed it away glaring at him, she coughed again.

Liu Longwei raised his hands up in surrender, he apologized again and went back to his sit.

When Chen Lihua got herself, she looked at Liu Longwei and said in a serious tone, "Am sorry to shatter your sweet dreams, don't even think about it".

Liu Longwei didn't understand or actually, he didn't want believe what his brain was trying to process, so he simply asked, "I don't understand, can you elaborate more on what you are talking about?".

Chen Lihua shifted on her seat, feeling comfortable, she explained, "let me give you a heads up now, you are not allowed to touch me till after our wedding".

"I don't understand, by touching, do you mean this?", Liu Longwei asked touching her hands that were on the table.

Chen Lihua removed her hands from his grasp saying, "I know you are pretending not to understand, but there is no harm in explaining again. When I mean you are not allowed to touch me, I meant you are not allowed to get intimate with me till I see a wedding ring on my ring finger".

Chen Lihua replied pointing at her ring finger, then she put her hands on the table. Then she continued, "Do you understand now Mr Liu?"

"Am sorry Mrs Liu, but my brain has still refused to process what you just said", Liu Longwei said.

At first when he heard what Chen Lihua said, he was shocked but decided to control his facial expression and pretended not to have understood her words.

"Oh!" Chen Lihua said showing a fake concerned face, she continued, "Mr Liu, I've tried to explain to you in different ways, but it seems like your dim witted brain has refused to understand and process the information talk more of translating it to you, Since am not a neurologist, I can not help you any further, so I suggest you visit one. Maybe by then, you will be able to understand my words".

Chen Lihua replied him and smiled confidently as if winning him in a game of chess.

Having listened to Chen Lihua's words, Liu Longwei was at a loss for words but seeing as he had no other option he grabbed Chen Lihua's hands as if his destiny was on her beck and call, "Lihua please tell me that was a joke?".

Chen Lihua removed her hands from his grasp, smiling, she said to him without batting her eyes in English in her fine American accent, "Am sorry to disappoint you Longwei, but am damm serious about this matter".

She patted his hands gently and withdrew them.

Chen Lihua cannot speak Chinese smoothly without at least adding an English word, as her 7 years in the United States washed most Chinese words out from her brain.

Most times, she speaks complete English. You just have to be in luck to understand her words, if not, you are 'on your own' (OYO).

But she really tries her best to mix English with Chinese so that people who do not hear English language would at least understand what she was saying.

Liu Longwei and Chen Lihua stared at each other for seconds in silence.

"Lihua, you need to understand something, we are officially married so there is nothing inappropriate about us being intimate, OK?", Liu Longwei explained trying to get Chen Lihua to understand his point.

Chen Lihua shaked her head saying, "I know, but it feels weird just signing the marriage certificate and being intimate immediately without a wedding. Please Longwei understand me. You don't have to wait too long, our wedding is in three months time. By then, you will be free to do whatever you like with me and I would not object to it".

Liu Longwei heaved a sigh and said, "Don't make it sound like you call the shots here but not to worry, I understand and will respect your decision".

Liu Longwei relaxed his back on the chair before continuing, "After all, I've been single all my life and haven't been intimate with anyone at all. It's not like I can't control myself when I've been doing that, so this decision of yours won't affect me".

He wanted to add something else, but decided against it, as it may lead to a serious problem in their relationship.
