Urban Tales of Demons and Spirits
Chapter 7: Cats and old houses (below)
This scene was really incredible. I continued to walk inside the yard and saw many fresh branches and flowers. Eight Eight One Chinese Network W≈WW. 81ZW. COM is clearly September in the summer, but here is still like spring, the fragrance of flowers can be smelled everywhere.
Bypassing the locust tree, the main house door of the house appeared in front of me. The door was also open to me, as if the owner of the house welcomed me diligently. But instead of feeling attentive, I was creepy.
Like all the grand old houses, there are two corridor posts on each side of the gate, and a pair of couplets is carved on the pillars with thin gold body. The words above were a little vague, but they were barely readable.
"The life and death deeds are thousands of times wide, and they have not separated from the king."
Is this an ancient poem? Never heard of it.
There was also a plaque in the middle of the top of the door, but it was strange that nothing was written on it, just an empty wooden board. I set my mind, crossed the high threshold, and stepped into the room.
The room was dim, and upon closer inspection, all the curtains were partially hidden. The room is large, like a living room. It is difficult for me to describe the furnishings in this room, because what is placed around makes people have the illusion of time and space confusion.
The room is antique from the wall floor to the tables, chairs and benches, and the edges of the wood are black, full of age. But in contrast, the red wood table is equipped with a TV, an iPad on a low stool, and a soft Simmons mattress on the bed. The rest of the room is full of such ancient and modern furnishings, weird.
But seeing these modern facilities, my heart was relieved-so to speak, the owner of this house should not be a ghost.
"You came."
A voice suddenly came from behind me, and I was taken aback and quickly turned around. Behind me, right in the middle of the room, there was a veil of veil that could dimly see the figure in the back.
The sound was so familiar, but I couldn't remember where I heard it. Before I could understand, the screen curtain was lifted, and a man came out of it. I was so surprised that my mouth could not be closed-wasn't this man the man I dreamed of yesterday?
The unknown man still wore the dark gown with a pair of monocles on the bridge of his nose, with a handsome face and long fluttering appearance, as if coming out of a costume TV series.
Instead of paying attention to my exaggerated response, he picked up a pot of tea on the wooden table next to him and poured the steaming tea into the cup. "Drink tea? I've just made it, but I don't know if you're used to bitter chrysanthemum."
As he passed me the tea cup, I reached out to pick it up subconsciously. But I did not expect that the spilled tea accidentally touched my fingers, and I didn't hold it all at once. The tea cup broke to the ground and made a crisp sound.
"Ah, sorry, sorry!" I hurriedly apologized.
Unexpectedly, the man did not mean to be angry, but only showed a helpless expression, and bent over to pick up the tea cup fragments. "You, so careless."
"Sorry ..." I apologized subconsciously.
But this situation is not right. Who is this person? Why is it in such a place? Having said that, I came here to look for the cat, what about the dead cat?
"It doesn't matter, just sit down and rest for a while." The man bent his eyes and smiled at me.
"That ..." Of course I didn't sit down, but looked at the man suspiciously, and frowned. "Sorry, do you know me?"
The man put down the tea cup and looked at me for a few seconds before he smiled, "I don't know him at all."
I was almost vomiting blood from this sentence, what is this man doing! I don't know what kind of hospitality you pretend, and greet and pour tea. I just wanted to say something, but when I heard a "meow" coming from behind the screen, a black cat with a whole body walked out in elegant steps.
"Mum!"
I gritted my teeth and blamed the little beast who was running around, taking me to somehow.
"Is this your cat?" The man bent over and hugged the cat, and the grumpy cat was very quiet in his arms, even meowing with satisfaction.
"No, it's not." I quickly clarified, "This is my classmate's cat. This guy is running around. I accidentally broke in to find it. I'm really sorry."
"Why apologize." The man stroked the fur on the cat's back. "What's your name?"
"Ah? Gu Yu." I replied subconsciously, "Gu taking care of, Yu Fei."
"Gu Yu." The man slowly repeated my name again, and suddenly smiled. "Just telling strangers by name casually, but it is very dangerous."
What? I somehow. "But isn't the name used to tell strangers? Whoever emphasizes his name over and over again with acquaintances."
"That's what it says. But even a stranger must be a trusted stranger?" He looked at me thoughtfully, "Gu Yu, do you trust me?"
How can this person say something inexplicable? I stepped back half-heartedly, nodding my head and shaking my head.
"Let me introduce myself first." The man seemed to be amused by my actions. "The name is kept secret for the first time. My last name is Wen, just call me Mr. Wen."
Mr. Wen sat down on a chair in the middle of the room and looked at me gently. "So, what do you want?"
What is it? I quickly waved, "Well, you misunderstood it. I came in by accident to find a cat, and now the cat has found it, and I will leave immediately!"
"Is it accidental?" Mr. Wen's fingertips rested on his chin, looked at me quietly, and smiled. "However, there is no 'accident' in this world. Cats eat fish, fish can swim, water can Flowing down, this is the 'inevitable' result that nature has given them. None of the encounters, feelings, disputes, trusts, and betrayals of others is 'accidental'. There are different things in this world. There are different reasons for each of the rules. From this perspective, it is not accidental for you to enter here and meet with me. Or to put it another way, if there is no reason, it is impossible to enter by chance. This shop. "
"Wait ... shop?" I became more confused.
"You, are you very upset right now?" Mr. Wen's eyes were trembling.
This sentence struck me like a sharp arrow.
Mr. Wen smiled and asked, "I said, before you came in, did you notice the plaque in front of the door? Is there anything written on it?"
The more confused I was, "Attention is noticed, but ... nothing is written on it."
Mr. Wen raised his chin. "How about going to the door to see it again?"
"Even if I look again ..."
