Vengeance For Jenny
Chapter 1 - Prologue:
The sound of my own heart echoing like drums in my ears, the adrenaline and screams of my own fears race through my mind from the idea of being caught as I ran through the night of this maze-like fortress. Stonewalls that cut off all around this demon's palace. When I heard of a secret passage way from the comings and goings of the staff here. I began to plan my escape. Trapped here I was finally going to be free. Tonight, before he could come for me again, I fled. The shouts of guards and running footsteps can be heard as I duck in and out of crevasses between buildings and towers. Hiding building to building in the shadows. The full moon light the darkness making the shadows scarce but being caught now would be far worse than if I had stayed like the obedient pet I was.
I saw the vine hedge on the other side of the court yard beneath it was a door that lead underground where she would be waiting for me. Taking a deep breath thinking how so far getting here had been too easy this could be an ambush. Hand griping and holding up the hem on my black with gold embroidery cotton robe dress, I ran across the yard desperation driving me to seek my freedom from hell. I pull my scarf forward over my head to hide my face more as I race for my freedom, for our freedom. Just little further I tell myself.
Making it through the thick over grown vines. I found the small wooden door. I should have been concerned the fact that it wasn't locked or that it wasn't too hard to open but only thing I could think of was to meet my little sister who would be waiting me at the half way point. She was supposed to save me from the fate that had become mine. Racing down the stone steps my heart beat with anxiety, sweat dripping on my forehead as I was getting to the point where we had messaged in secret notes delivered by my trusted maid. I called out but no answer came in the darkness. I cry out again panic fills me I walk forward stumbling over something. Something Cold and slimy under my palm and soaking my robe unto my knees. I push up looking down my eyes adjusting to see the face of my sister unconscious. Crying out, I grab shoulders her shaking her fiercely calling her name.
"This is what happens to traitors Jennifer's." A hear his vial sick deep voice. His hand reaches out, grabbing hold of my robe dragging me off my sisters mangled body. I fight back, my heart breaking as I scream fighting to hold on to my precious sister. This sick bastard went this far if he could do this to my sister there was no telling what he wouldn't do to get what he wanted.
"Let me go! Jenny please wake up, please don't leave me." I struggle to claw my way to her to get out of his grasp.
"This was your fault my pet, don't worry I made sure to treat her well before I punished her for your crimes." I feel the bile rise up to his words. Imagining my precious twin fighting against this man as he had his way with her, as he tortured, her cut her, how she probably cried and begged for me to come faster but I hadn't because I was being cautious thinking I'd be caught. I hunch over throwing up unable to take the imagery of my own brain the tears streaming down of my poor sister.
A rage fills me, my hand reaches to the side of my robe belt where I had hidden a small dagger with a ruby embedded in the golden hilt that I had been given to me by my maid before I had left. His hand grabbed my forearm jerking me up saying something; I don't even know what as I was filled with a new found rage. Throwing my body back I free myself from his grip. My hand rising up and slashes down as he goes to grab me again. I hear the deep howlers in my ear as he stumbles back hand over his eye. Not looking back, I race away as fast as I can. I have spent so long looking at the map of this secret passage I could get out with my eyes closed that I was sure as my heart thundered. I could hear hollering as men gave chase but became lost in the underground maze.
The light from the full moon showed me I had found the exit as I ran out into the night desert, outside two horses with packs waited. I tear up again I look back Jenny, I swear I we will get our revenge. I slip my foot into the stirrup and swing the other around and with a kick take off into the night needing to get as far away as I can and stay off the radar for as long as I can. When He finds me again, I want it to be looking up at me begging for his life like he made my sister do. First, I had to start a new life a new identity for that needed to get overseas. I had heard of an organization called Guns of Destiny (G.O.D.) for short.
