Her blood boiled as Patricia thought of Devin. Why did she hate him so much?

Devin smiled when he saw Patricia, and she felt herself recoil from revulsion. "Do you feel better?" he asked.

"Not bad," she answered.

"Hmmm... Well, I have thought it over. The 60 million wouldn't be a problem, but I can't hand over the Nalan Clan's property to you. The money has already been prepared."

The stock was a highly valuable asset to the clan. There was no way he could give it to an outsider like some common merchandise. Endless trouble would follow if he did so. But

"Let's finalize the divorce in a week," Devin said after she had received the money.

"You already have the money. I'm saying this for both of us, Patricia. We don't have to torture each other like this anymore. Let's end this already."

"Alright," Patricia responded.

Her quick acceptance caught Devin by surprise. He had not expected her to agree so easily.

He quickly recovered and said, "Then, it's settled. I'll pick you up at about 3:00 pm next Friday."

Patricia nodded and Devin stood up to go outside, but before he could reach the door, Patricia stopped him.

"Devin," she called to him.

Devin turned around.

"Can you give me one more hug?"
