Linda rolled her eyes and said, "Do you think Damian's eye can be still cured after you get the money from Troy?"

Helen burst into tears when she mulled over Linda's question.

Linda was indeed a really nice person. On one hand, she taught Helen how to stand up for herself and on the other hand, she paid for the medical expenses on behalf of Helen so that Damian could get the necessary treatment.

Linda felt very sorry for Damian.

And the sight of Helen crying broke her heart.

Immediately, Helen swallowed and wiped the tears from her face.

Linda took Helen to see Damian at the hospital after the surgery. She waited until she was certain that Damian was out of harm's way before she took his mother to see him.

Linda's mind conjured up various thoughts.

Suddenly, she thought of Charles.

She wondered why Charles hadn't come back today. To a certain extent, she missed him.

Just as she was about to fall asleep, Linda suddenly felt someone's weight on her body.

Charles had returned.
