"Okay, no problem," Linda said, immediately prepared to grant Faye's sudden request.

"Miss Hong, I will not easily accuse anyone. If I'm in the wrong here, then I will take the initiative to resign from the Mu's Group immediately. Is that all right?"

Paul suggested, looking deeply into Faye's narrowed eyes.

"Fine! Let's just see who's in the wrong!" Faye threatened loudly.

Faye's face was deeply flushed red. It was the first time in her life that she had ever been framed as a thief.

"But what if you really stole something from the office?" Paul asked inquisitively with a quirked eyebrow.

"Do you have any idea who you're talking to?! Why would I do that?" Faye barked.

"Miss Hong, please don't try to embarrass yourself more. I am already willing to put my career on the line to prove my innocence, but you have more than your career to lose if you're guilty," Paul said somehow apologetically.

"Just tell me what the fuck you want."

"I don't want anything. You can say what you want by yourself," Paul answered as he crossed his arms.

Knowing that she didn't steal anything from Charles, Faye argued, "If I really did steal something, then I will kneel down and kowtow three times at the very front of the Mu's Group's building!"

"Oh, nice challenge, Miss Hong. You seem to be so confident," Paul

hat you don't really like diamonds," Charles paused, frowning at the woman in the holding cell with a distant glare. "Then why do you have a diamond ring in your purse?" he added.

Faye felt her heart sink to her stomach when she heard those words. She quickly darted her eyes towards the table behind Charles. On top of the table sat a bright, sparkling diamond ring. It was probably around five carats in size.

Faye could see it from a mile away. "Tell me, Miss Hong, where did you get this ring?" Charles asked.

"T-That ring isn't mine! That's not mine at all!" Faye pleaded with her eyes almost watering.

"Of course it's not yours. I knew I left it on my desk. It was a gift for my wife on our third wedding anniversary," Charles calmly explained.

Linda tried her best to control her laughter. Seeing Faye's dejected face for the first time was sending her on cloud nine.
