VRMMORPG: The Other World Online

Cheng Xiu blinked.

The room was blue all over.

A large deep blue interface appeared in front of her.

[Welcom, User xxxx4444.]

The voice that spoke was the monotone voice of a man.

"Access all games available under the user name," Cheng Xiu said, her mind not interested in the game. She was still thinking about what Gu Shu had done.

[Ding!]

[Available Game: The Other World.]

Cheng Xiu blinked. There should have been a lot more than that but it seemed that the information was deleted.

"Enter The Other World reality," Cheng Xiu said with a sigh.

[Ding!]

[User xxxx4444 is being transported to the interface of The Other World. Please be on Stand by as the System contacts the AI of the Game for wave transmission.]

A virtual clock with a countdown from 10 appeared above her head.

Cheng Xiu pursed her lips in exasperation. After experiencing the fast reaction of the gaming pod, her patience towards the Gaming Helmet seemed to have fallen.

When the countdown reached 0, the blue of the room disappeared and she saw the familiar white room.

Cheng Xiu let out a breath of relief. She had not realised how much she had gotten used to this room until then.

[Welcom back, User xxxx4444, to The Other World. You have been gone for 4 days in Real-Time.]

Cheng Xiu smiled as she heard the familiar female voice.

"Hey, Maya."

[Hello, User.]

Cheng Xiu frowned. "Why am I being called User instead of Player?"

[Whould the User like to register as a new player or do you want to continue with your previous account?]

Cheng Xiu was surprised by that question. "No. I want to continue to use my present one."

[ding!]

A floating keyboard appeared in front of her.

Cheng Xiu blinked.

[Please enter the relevant password.]

Cheng Xiu frowned. She did not know any passwords that the system asked for before. She typed in the password that she used for her register one. It was the only one that made sense.

[Ding!]

[WElcom, Player Selafia Veritas. You have been away from the game world for 8 Gametime days.]

[Would you like to log in now?]

Cheng Xiu frowned. "Wait."

Cheng Xiu pursed her lips. She knew that those experts would be searching for her right about now. If she needed to escape their scrutiny, she had to change her appearance.

"I would like to make changes to my character."

An expressionless naked clone of Cheng Xiu appeared in front of her. The clone's appearance changed to her present costume.

The clone had dark black hair with subtle red highlights. She wore a black mask on her face that had blue designs on its surface.

Her clothes were that of a typical Wuxia avatar, A white dress piece that had brown and black embroideries on the hems with bellowing hands, and flowing ribbons all around her.

Cheng Xiu frowned. "I look decent. How can I change my appearance so that I can look somewhat different when I really like this look already? Can I at least change my clothes?"

[Player can access her gift pack that is sitting in her inventory gathering dust if the Player wants better types of equipment.]

Cheng Xiu's eyes widened. She had forgotten all about the gift that the game had given her.

Cheng Xiu looked at the storage ring and thought about the Fresh package.

A light blue Chest appeared near her feet.

Cehgnx Xiu looked down and opened the lid. Golden light flashed.

Inside was a single piece of white cloth and a half red and half blue crystal ball.

"What is this? Isn't this a cheap gift?"

[Ding!]

[No. It is the Beginner Pack.]

Cheng Xiu sighed and took out the piece of clothing.

It suddenly transformed into a large piece of clothing and tried to wrap itself around Cheng Xiu.

The cultivator jumped to the side.

The cloth froze in mid-air.

Cheng Xiu looked at the clothing suspiciously and then stood still.

The clothing wrapped around her, and transformed into a beautiful martial robe that hand scattered red leaf designs on the hems.

Cheng Xiu raised her brow in surprise.

Cheng Xiu nodded. "A very useful equipment to have. Thank you!"

She looked at the crystal and then picked it up. There was no reaction whatsoever.

"What is going on? What can I use this for?"

[That is the Dual Gem of the Vixia Forests. After you drop it into the water of both the lake of the Viridian Forest and the Azure Lake, the Crystal will give you or a being of your choosing a power boost. After use, the Item will go into cooldown for 1 month.]

Cheng Xiu was surprised by that. A month-long cooldown? How powerful was the power boost it required a month-long cooldown?

Cheng Xiu shook her head, putting the crystal into her storage ring, and then looked towards the clon again.

The clone's clothing had changed to the one she wore.

Cheng Xiu sighed and looked towards the mask. Though it was a beautiful mask, it did not match with her present colour scheme anymore.

"I would like to change the mask, please."

There was a beep, and the wall of the white room parted to reveal rows and rows of masks.

Cheng Xiu looked around for a moment before her eyes fell on a white mask.

She walked towards it and examined the item.

It was a full face mask. The only thing that would become visible was her eyes. And even though her eyes could be considered her most recognisable feature, the mask would hide it in a shadow. There were many little white crystals decorated the part of the eyes.

Cheng Xiu selected it.
