VRMMORPG: The Other World Online

When Gu Shu returned from buying the congee for Cheng Xiu, she found the girl listening to San Zhe with rapt attention.

Gu Shu pushed the door open with a loud bang, letting the two inside know of her enterance.

Cheng Xiu was startled by the abrupt sound and glared at Gu Shu. "Why are showing your agression on the door? If the door is damaged, what would you do then?"

"The doors are made to resist a high D-Level attack, it can take being banged to the wall," Gu Shu said, a scowl on her face. "What were you two talking about?"

Cheng Xiu frowned. "Why are you taking that kind of a tone with me?"

Gu Shu scowled even more. She felt like she was being replaced by that San Zhe, how could she not be upset? Cheng Xiu had always been her best friend and yet she was spending more time with that San Zhe person.

She couldn't understand how he was able to get so close to her friend's heart just by accompanying her in a single mission. Was it because he was also a Qiless? Was that all it took for Cheng Xiu to try to replace her?

Cheng Xiu decided to ignore the girl for now. She would talk to the pink-haired girl when there was no third party in their dorm.

"Your congee," Gu Shu said in a dull voice as she presented a black box towards Cheng Xiu.

Cheng Xiu looked at her. She could see that Gu Shu was hurt about something, but she was not sure what could have happened in the time that she had gone to the cafeteria to get her lunch.

Cheng Xiu shook her head and opened the box. It was a simple rice congee with some pickle. That was it. She was now really sure that Gu Shu was upset with her. Cheng Xiu sighed and picked up the soup spoon from the side of the box.

After she had finished eating, Cheng Xiu demolished the shrimp dimsums that Gu Shu had bought for her. With great reluctance she gave San Zhe and Gu Shu one each.

San Zhe was amused by her hurt expression. "If you want it so much, Sister Xiu, you can have it."

San Zhe returned the dimsum in his hand.

Gu Shu had bitten off half of the dimsum in her possession when she saw this. She felt upset that she had not thought to do so. This might have been the method through which the fat man gained Cheng Xiu's trust! Very underhanded!

Cheng Xiu pushed the offered piece away without even looking at it. "What is meant for me is in my hands, what is meant for Buddha will be in Buddha's hands and what is meant for you should remain in yours."

San Zhe blinked. "Um…you could have just said no."

Cheng Xiu shook her head. "No. That piece was meant for you, that is the reason why you ended up in our room at this time. Now, eat."

San Zhe looked at her in surprise for a moment and then took a bite of his.

Cheng Xiu quickly finished off the ones in her hands, the shrimp flavour filling her mouth and oil coating her lips.

She looked childish at that moment.

After that San Zhe enquired about the gaming pod.

That was another can of worms.

Gu Shu got upset. "What? Now you think that I can't afford to help you out or something?"

Cheng Xiu sighed. "That is not it…I…just think it is a waste trying to repair the thing. After all, there is no way that it would function with the same efficiency that it did before."

Gu Shu pouted. "I can buy you another one!"

Cheng Xiu rolled her eyes. "You can't. Your father can. But that is not the point, the point is that I don't want your help in this matter. You gave me birthday gift-"

"And now it is broken," Gu Shu interrupted. "So, this is my responsibility."

Cheng Xiu gave her a teasing smile. "Look at you using words like responsibility. Really proud of you."

"Shut up."

"Anyway, I think it is better to return the thing."

San Zhe listened to the girls talk as he observed the gaming pod in front of him. "Is this…The Other World exclusive gaming pod?"

Gu Shu blinked. "What?"

San Zhe sighed with emotion. "This is the V51 created by TOW Online, the company that created The Other World game. They got into the gaming pod business last summer I think. This is a gaming pod specifically built with the intensity of the Game Play of the game in mind. It is made for The Other World palyers."

"It is?" Gu Shu asked in surprise.

San Zhe nodded. "51 is a dream pod. You should have a warrenty with this though, right? Any maintanance services that you do in the span of a year is free and the company will do it themselves!"

Cheng Xiu blinked. "Oh. Why didn't you say that before?"

"I did not observe the pod's brand before."

"I see."

"Does that mean that A'Xiu can use the pod?" Gu Shu asked in excitement. "My gift is not going to be given away or sold?"

San Zhe looked at the girl with a complicated gaze. He always felt that the screws on this girl's head were a bit too lose. Why else would she always focus on the wrong things? He was just talking about the greatness of the TOW company and the benefits that the pod had and she only cared about whether her gift would be given away.

Cheng Xiu blinked. "Does this mean that this pod can be fixed without using money?"

San Zhe nodded.

Cheng Xiu nodded in understanding. She looked at Gu Shu. "Do you want to fix it?"

Gu Shu frowned. "Isn't it yours now that I have gifted it to you? Do it if you want to!"

Cheng Xiu looked at the machine with a torn look. She couldn't throw away things that could still be fixed. "In that case, Gu Shu, get the lisensing of the Pod and the certificate of ownership so that it can be fixed."

"What is certificate of ownership?" Gu Shu asked. "Aren't you its owner?"

"No.. I am not."
