Chapter 112: Tower of Mariuk part-2

Looking calmly at the Fire Golems that started rushing towards him, Wil raised the bow and conjured an Ice Arrow before aiming at one of them while he continues to sit on the shoulder of the Golem.

*Ting*

As he released the string, Felix jumped up like a cat and turned its head towards Wil, hearing the sound it made.

"What an amazing sound. It would be hard to find a bow like this in the real world," mumbled Wil in a surprise.

*Swoosh*

Because of an additional boot in attack speed, the Ice arrow that a released flew like a lightning and pierced its chest and killing it on the spot while freezing forty meters surroundings.

Looking at Felix's awed expression as it opened its eyes big; a smile appeared on Wil, "your older brother is awesome, isn't he?"

*wow* barked Felix in response.

Meanwhile, the Golem and Kallius are once again on a killing spree, finishing them in one hit. But, this time, there wasn't any self explosion.

After killing the 28th one, the system sent him a notification once more.

*Ding. Felix reached level-100. It's entering 2nd metamorphosis.

Once again, the little two-tailed fox glowed for a while. After a few seconds, Wil saw Felix suddenly grew to 1 meter big and an extra tail. As it now big enough, it jumped on to the ground.

Its beautiful silver bluish fur increased and grew sharp canines.

"Not even 5 minutes passed, and it's already level-100. Even I need a week to level up and I was considered one of the fastest. If people knew about it, I wonder what kind of reaction they'll have.

Anyway, let's see what skill it acquired, now."

Bark (Level 1): After gathering enough magic from the surroundings, Felix can release them in the form of sound waves. Allies that are hit by those sound waves increase their attack by 20% while enemies decrease their attack by 20% for five minutes. CD: 15 minutes. Range: 30 meters

"Not bad, a combined buff and a debuff support skill but for a legendary grade pet, it's not overpowered. Sigh… can't be helped. It's not like I caught it in the wild. And unlike them, it doesn't have skill restrictions either.

A long as it continues to level up, new skills will be added and I can even make it learn skills from pet skill books in the future. If only legendary grade bosses of the dungeon can be tamed…

Hmm, now that I think about it, I remember buying a legendary grade pet scroll from the Battle shop. Shall I catch the region lord or kill it and release the guardian of the Kingdom?

In the first case, I can gain another legendary pet.

And in the second case, my favorability with Mirella and Raziel will be increased for sure, or maybe even maximum, which will be helpful to climb the ladders of nobility in the future.

But, I can only summon one battle companion no matter how many pets I have. It's the same to me whether I have one legendary grade pet or a hundred.

Still, that's the winged lion. It has its own benefits. Look at Solar.

Not only it's level will be a hundred levels more than me as a passive buff, just by possessing it, makes me a member of the royal family and even has a chance of becoming a King once I overthrow Mirella.

*Ding. You leveled up.

Wil ignored it and continued to think deeply, "Forget about a mere port or a city. The entire kingdom will be mine. But that's impossible unless I reach 300 and receive the support of Ascended.

Hmm, wait a second. What the hell am I thinking…

Once, the revenge of Angels' chapter begins in the main storyline, won't I have to leave everything behind? Then, what's the use of becoming a king.

Nah… I can make someone else as a King.

Wait a second. Wait a sec…

If I have to leave the kingdom eventually, then, there's no point in trying hard to increase my nobility, right… No, I don't need to leave. It's only a 20% buff loss. Even without it, I can become the best. Moreover, I can enter the Aynor continent without penalty.

But, then again, if I can become the representative of Angels, I can easily gain everything I lose.

Argh… It's damn confusing…

Meanwhile, with Felix following from behind and barking occasionally to weaken the enemies, the Golem continued its killing spree without caring about its defense even though the Elite mobs finally resisted the freezing effect and became free.

After a while;

*wow*

Wil was brought back to his senses as he got a message from Felix that it's over.

Looking at the drops from Elite that spread out all over the floor, Wil jumped down and collected all augment stones, scrolls, silver coins, and potions.

Leaving behind the crappy equipment, the one-man party proceeds to the 3rd floor and equipped night vision goggles for the upcoming danger.

"Floor of Death, eh?" commented Wil as they reached the third floor, which looks like a dark cave.

It is the floor which is often called as the floor of death by many players in his past life as most of them gave up their journey after reaching here.

It's mainly because of the tiny volcanoes spread all over the floor that spews out lava at random times and form lava puddles everywhere.

Just stepping on a lava puddle by mistake will decrease 100K hp for 10 seconds. If that wasn't enough, for every Fire Golem that's standing on lava puddle, there are around 5-6 tiny rocky golems that can cause a chain reaction.

And, finally, in the end, there's a Giant Lava Golem guarding the stairs to the fourth floor along with a mage in robes covering his face with the hood.

"Felix, use Size manipulation and reduce your size and come here. When you are strong enough, I'll let you out in the field," ordered Wil.

Then he turned his head left and right and glanced at the fallen angels that are flying beside the Golem on either side, "Dromeus… get ready to heal Kallius. And Kallius, you try to gather all of them in middle except that Giant Fire Golem. We'll take them out in one shot."

After receiving orders from Wil, Kallius flapped his light and dark wings and flew towards each Fire golem which was followed by triggering the self explosion of the tiny golems.

Ignoring the explosions, Kallius shot a fireball towards a lava puddle thereby attracting the nearby Golems, and flew towards the next one while Dromeus followed him to heal just in case.

Meanwhile, as Felix used Size Manipulation, Wil was taken aback to see instead of appearing smaller, it turned into its infant stage before jumping on to the Golem and climbed up to the head and settled there on the flat surface. Curious Wil inspected its stats to see the changes.

"Oh, so, this is the meaning of the size manipulation, eh? With showing fake stats, even a player would be fooled," mumbled Wil after inspecting its stats

Back to the battle, as there are too many of them, coupled with heavy explosions, Kallius was only able to gather half of the Golems at one spot while accidentally killing the rest of them as the fireball hit them.

After they were at one spot, Wil raised his hands towards the pack and spoke, "Heavenly push, 20 mana."

After that…

Well, there's nothing after that. Everything's gone along with the Heroic mob and the mage, leaving behind drops on the floor.

*Ding. You level up.

The level up notification continued to ring in his ears for four times in a row while Wil was stupefied by the outcome.

"Uhh… isn't this a bit overkill?"

Wil stared at the scene for several seconds before inspecting his character menu in a hurry, "That's right. I forgot I have a full set of legendary equipment, now. I'm a lot stronger than before. Just a single normal arrow is enough to wipe out any player.

Ok, Wil. Let's stop bragging to yourself and finish this quickly. After this, I have to clear out the armory before anyone else discovers it."

Picking up all the drops and throwing them into the inventory, Wil continued to the fourth floor.

The fourth floor looks pretty much the same as the third floor except that volcanoes are more active and instead of lava puddles, it's like a lava pond of 1 ft depth that's almost covered the floor with very little space to walk and avoid it.

But, Wil has no problem with the situation as the only one that's walking on the floor is the Golem and it can be brought to full health at all times by Dromeus and Wil.

Unlike last time, Wil just ordered Kallius, who has 75% of his stats to finish them one by one.

After it cleared out everything, Wil didn't bother to pick up the drops and went straight to the three lava golems that stood apart from each other at the exit.

It wasn't because Wil was scared of getting into the lava pond to pick up the drops. It's just too much of a work to find the augment stones and the biggest reason is that he was rich enough to ignore them. Simple...

Lava Golem

Grade: Heroic

Level: 200

Hp: 52 million

Looking at the three of them, Wil spoke indifferently, "Kallius, as usual. Gather them together at one spot."

But, just when went into twenty meters of the left one, Wil's expression changed as he suddenly shouted, "Kallius, return."

As soon as he heard his master's new order, Kallius dismissed the thought of attacking it and turned around to return.

*Boom*

It was too late…

A volcano that's as big as five feet suddenly appeared below his feet and erupted. As the Mage raised the staff, the lava that supposed to flow down like a river from the mouth of the volcano was instead shot towards Kallius.
