Level-25 Dungeon, House of Cat;

Around the Dungeon Entrance in the cave, which is basically a no-combat and no-flight area, the low-level players without a full party were shouting out and sending messages in the General channel.

"We are in need of a healer." "We need 2 more people." "We need a level-25 tank." "Two damage dealers of any class." "Looking for a Party. I'm a level-28 Blademaster." Etc…

Like every other dungeon, Parties are forming and entering the dungeon together.

Just then, for a whole ten seconds, the cave went silent as two members with Shining equipment on them walked into the cave and entered the portal.

"Say, Did I just see…"

After entering the House of Cats in normal difficulty, Flame Emperor took out 8 pouches with the first seven of them had 500 coins full and the last one had the remaining 175 corrupted gold coins.

This is how the currency automatically gets stored in the inventory. In the identical pouches that have a maximum limit of 500 coins which takes up one space.

If one wants to store all the money in one bag, then, there are bags available in the market with a greater limit.

Thankfully, a player would be given free 5000 spaces at the start. So, most of the players won't think of it. Not to mention, the system also provides a category section to sort out the items so that they can separate currency, equipment, materials, etc…

Back to the Dungeon, as Flame Emperor placed the pouches on the ground, Wil picked one by one and threw them into his inventory after checking weight and saw his total number of gold that was showing at the top of the inventory is still 8 gold as before.

"Even though I knew they won't be added as they are just corrupted gold, one can't help but expect it." A sigh escaped from Wil.

After the transaction is over, they started massacring the cats in the dungeon.

Flame Emperor then asked, "So, how long does it take to purify it?"

"It might take a couple of days," answered Wil. "Oh, by the way, I forgot to inform you. The coins can't corrupt the other things in the inventory."

"I know it," nodded Flame Emperor, "I just realized that after I unknowingly placed the epic grade equipment in the inventory. This inventory was given by the system. It's the like same as a god-given gift, right?

So, how does merely corrupted aura affect a gift given by God? I realized that after applying simple logic."

Wil smiled and stayed silent.

After exiting the dungeon, Wil parted his ways and started flying towards the port and entered the sea.

Eight hours later,

With his top flying speed of 260 miles/hour without taking any rest, Wil was able to reach the Volcano Island in eight hours, where he was supposed to advance.

Without wasting any time, Wil dived into the darkness and reached the foot of the mountain with a Huge Fireball in his hand and entered the dim-lit cave.

As this isn't the first time, he didn't receive any notifications from the system.

Wil walked towards the tomb and knelt before it while taking out three items and started a ritual he found in quest details.

"Oh, Lord Archangel Seraph, please accept the tribute of your successor."

He took out Orchid flower, which Aster earlier got it for him during the auction, "I tribute the Orchid flower, which is the symbol of your life"

"I tribute the Bey Leaf, which is the symbol of your spirit"

"I tribute the Gold Grade equipment, which is the symbol of your strength"

"Time Traveler is requesting you to formally acknowledge me as your successor."

Then, he kowtowed three times and stood up.

Suddenly, Wil saw the three items on the ground disappeared and some kind of spiritual energy began to rise from the skeleton to form a spirit of an old man with wings.

His appearance gives the vibe of a sage with white robes and long white beard. The only thing that's a bit different was the wings. Instead of the usual one or two pairs of wings, he had four pairs of wings.

"If you are able to find my tomb that no one found for the past 2000 years, it means we are already destined. There's no need for me to test you further. I will acknowledge you as my successor."

*Ding. The ritual is successful. You successfully completed the quest.

Upon hearing that, a smile appeared on Wil's face as it spared him from a lot of trouble and time. But then, his smile froze as the spirit of Seraph spoke, "But, still, I'm curious to see how strong my successor really is. The result doesn't matter. I want to see how far you can go."

Before Wil know what's going on, his surroundings changed to that a volcanic region.

There are volcanoes everywhere spitting out lava from time to time forming a lava lake.

Suddenly, monsters began to form from the lava lake and took appearances of standard low-level demons with a single horn on their heads.

As Wil came to his senses, Wil realized his wings were gone, his epic grade equipment and legendary grade earrings were gone and replaced with simple level-100 common grade defense clothes and a common grade bow in his hand.

He sighed in relief as he saw his skill set was still the same as before and the 10 mobs that are coming at him are all level-100 common mobs.

"Each one has the same standard amount of 120,000 HP. That means, each of their attack stat is around 10,000 and they would have no defense.

My base attack is standard 4000. With this bow, it is 4500. I have the usual 245 mana.

20% bonus stats didn't activate. That means this isn't the material world. I guess I'm at something like an illusionary realm?

My inventory is locked. I don't have mana potions either. Damn, at least give me Mana potions. The only good thing is that I have been given free arrows. I wonder how long do they last though. Fine, then. I'll…"

As he was thinking of various ways, the mobs crossed the lava lake and landed on the ground while he received a notification.

*Ding. You received a Quest.

Quest: The spirit of Archangel Seraph wants to see how strong his successor without using the external power of equipment and items.

Reward: Advancement to 2* Elementalist, a unique skill bestowment per each wave.

Conditions: Quest will end when the user dies.

As Wil accepted the quest since this is the reason he came all the way, they started running towards him while roaring.
