Warhammer III

Chapter 1 Holy Terra

Holy Terra, the capital of the human empire, the throne world, is the most sacred and respected place among the millions of worlds that make up the empire, and is also the original home of the human race.

No one remembers what Terra looked like in ancient times. With the development of technology and the expansion of population, the natural resources and beautiful environment of this planet were sacrificed first. High-rise buildings rose in every corner of the planet. Now Terra has a population of hundreds of billions and is one of the largest hive worlds in the empire.

Every year, billions of pilgrims from all over the galaxy flock to Terra. When these devout people arrive at the human homeland, even if they step on the barren and polluted land, they are considered by the believers of the state religion to be an extremely sacred experience.

"I haven't been back to Terra for more than 10,000 years. At first, I was just one of the thousands of scribes here, responsible for recording complicated information."

Standing on the bridge of the Uruk, looking at the iron hive under her feet, Sisera sighed at the magic of fate. Thinking that her days in the Night Labyrinth passed so quickly, she couldn't help but wonder if time there passed faster.

"The immortals at least don't age. The last time I came here was in the early 42nd millennium. I was still a young man, but now more than 100 years have passed and I'm an uncle."

Jerome showed an envious look. Time has no meaning for the immortals, but for the Astartes, they will age in the endless battle and are often physically and mentally exhausted.

"The Uruk has stopped, let's go to the Imperial Senate now!"

Tai Yue said to the two. He is still young and not troubled by sentimental emotions. After these missions, he has become more determined in his heart to return mankind to the unattainable goal of the golden age. Now he must accumulate his strength to actively respond when the unknown day comes, instead of going with the flow.

After arriving on the ground, the three of them went to the Terra Palace under the leadership of an elderly official of the Ministry of the Interior. The Imperial Senate was in the inner palace of the palace.

Soon after, the small aircraft that Tai Yue and others were riding arrived at a black nest city. The towering buildings were endless, magnificent and solemn. This was the Terra Palace.

The Terra Palace is more of a huge nest city than a single palace. It was originally a building based on the ancient Terra Himalayas, and now covers most of the northern hemisphere. The palace complex is divided into two independent urban areas, the Outer Palace and the Inner Palace, both of which have thousands of small spacecraft landing points and terrible defensive weapon arrays.

The palace is mainly guarded by the Guards, who rarely leave the palace. At the same time, Space Marines, Sisters of Battle and Titan Legions also serve as guards. It is the heart of the Imperial Administrative District and the seat of the Emperor and the Golden Throne.

After getting off the aircraft, Tai Yue and others stepped into the Outer Palace of the Palace, passed through the gate of the Colossus Fortress, passed the Lion Gate Spaceport and the Eternal Wall Spaceport, and walked under a series of majestic and towering statues.

Along the way, we met many busy imperial officials, who were thinking about their work even when walking. A few civilians instinctively avoided the passing Astartes.

It is ironic that the civilians on Terra are afraid of the Astartes. The reason can be traced back to the Horus Heresy, when most of Terra was razed to the ground by the traitor legions, leaving horrible memories for the survivors and their descendants.

Suddenly, countless psychic powers were sensed by Taiyue, Jerome and Sisera, and they all looked at the cylindrical building complex in the distance and the obsidian fortress next to it.

"The City of Vision of the Star Language Court, where psychics are trained, if I hadn't become a Grey Knight, I might have been trained there and become a legal psychic of the Empire!"

Jerome said with a smile.

"Grand Master, you might become a psychic judge when you come out of there!"

Sisera also guessed Taiyue's possible fate of not becoming a Grey Knight, but in this case, the two would not have met in the Night Labyrinth.

Taiyue did not comment and continued to move forward. Soon he arrived at the periphery of the Ultimate Wall, which is also known as the Unyielding Fortress. It is a wall fortress that surrounds and protects the inner palace complex and is also the dividing line between the inner palace and the outer palace.

After passing through the Unyielding Fortress, Taiyue looked in the direction of the Eternal Gate, which is the final gateway to the heart of the human empire-the Imperial Temple. The Golden Throne and the Emperor himself are inside the Imperial Temple. It can be said that it is the most sacred place in the human empire in the entire galaxy!

"God Emperor, we are going in this direction!"

The Ministry of Internal Affairs official who led the way suddenly said, interrupting Taiyue's thoughts, and Taiyue immediately turned around and followed him to the location of the Imperial Senate.

Finally, the huge dome building appeared in front, and the dome conference hall in the middle was the gathering place of the twelve senior lords of Terra.

"Do you feel that we have been targeted after entering the inner palace of the palace!"

Jerome suddenly asked.

(The prologue should be put in this volume. I found it wrong after uploading, but I can't change it. This chapter is just a one-day tour of Terra Palace. There are legendary battles in many places, such as the Battle of Lion Gate. Please give me monthly votes and recommendation votes!)
