Ways to handle this little demon

Chapter 109 - Erasing The Kid's Memories

Just as Zhang Long Wei thought he was getting buried alive under a mountain of evil puppets, the demon saw all of them changed their direction and rushed to a different way. Zhang Long Wei was wondering where all the puppets were exactly going to when he realized the pair of mother and son behind him had already disappeared into thin air.

Now, why wasn't he surprised by that? He could have realized it since the beginning. The reason all those puppets appearing unceremoniously in the village was because of that child earlier. Fuck...did that pair of mother and son have no brain? Did they not know that staying by his side was better than running away aimlessly like that?

Lighting a candle for his wounded leg, Zhang Long Wei lept into the sky before landing right in front of a massive group of demonic puppets.

" Okay....let's start the fight. I'm already getting tired of you ancestors. The faster I could bury all of you back to you own graveyard, the sooner I can take a rest."

Zhang Long Wei was in another fight with a large group of puppets when a pair of mother and son encountered two strangers in the middle of an alley. Mistaking them for disciples of Jianyu Sect, the lady said in a hurry as she huffed and puffed.

" Young men....you gotta go help a youth in front of that inn. He is fighting alone with several puppets there. If he doesn't get any help in next to time, those monsters are going to kill him."

Pursing his lips as he restrained not to laugh, He Jingyi turned to look at the prince besides. Ming Zixin nodded in a tacit understanding.

" Don't worry, madam. We will instantly go and help him."

The lady was yet to let out a sigh in relief when a hand reached out and suddenly hit a nerve on the lateral side of her neck. The lady passed out immediately. The blind child who was beside his mom suddenly went tensed. The kid had only taken a step back when he suddenly tripped over a rock on the ground and fell on his little butt.

" Don't worry kid. We just want to confirm something. These two geges are not bad people like you think. We'd just like to play with you for a while. "

Using such a mellow tone, He Jingyi got on his knees just beside the blind kid. The kid was trembling. Despite hearing He Jingyi's mellow tone, instead of calming down, he'd got even worse. Rising to his little feet, the child made an attempt to run away scariedly.

But he hadn't even taken a step when an average-sized palm reached out to grab his leg, making the kid collapse onto the ground once again.

" See.....I try to be gentle. But he didn't comply. Isn't it infuriating? That's why I don't like kids."

Letting out a muffled laughter at his princess' cute pout, the prince got on his knees as well.

"Maybe you don't like kids because you also resemble one, right?"

" Fuck it.....I'm not a kid! I just like to be spoiled... a bit..."

Giving another punch in the prince's chest, He Jingyi snapped all of a sudden. Ming Zixin managed to contain his laughter but a particular kid failed to do it though. Seeing the blind kid laughing with such a pleasant chuckle, He Jingyi went silent for a moment.

No matter what kind of a cruel person he was, He Jingyi didn't want to touch such a innocent child though. If he could, He Jingyi also wanted to let the child go without harming.

But the problem was he don't even know what his father wanted this child for. He Jingyi had never questioned every time his father gave him a mission to accomplish. All he had to was just to fulfill his duty, enjoy the fun and to torture all random eyesores. But this time he felt somehow hesitant to bring such a little kid to the demon realm.

Seeing his princess in a daze, a vague smile curved on Ming Zixin's lips. Though his Jingyi was a bit childish and could be naughty at times, she would definitely make an excellent mom for their future kid. He couldn't just wait anymore to build a family with this mischievous princess. And...even if his Jingyi didn't want to get any children, then it's fine too. As long as he could make this princess his....as long as he could make this princess his official consort.....then, anything else was fine....

Digging out a small white pendant from his sleeves, Ming Zixin exchanged glances with He Jingyi. Seeing his princess nodding her head, the prince shifted closer to the kid whose both legs were restrained by He Jingyi. Reaching out for the kid's sash, Ming Zixin tied the white pendant which was radiating green light on it.

If this kid was the real target they've been looking for and was also the owner of this pendant, then this white jade pendant would turn into green jade instantly right after it was worn on the kid's sash. Both of Ming Zixin and He Jingyi were waiting for the pendant to experience some miraculous change but it didn't happen. Instead, it simply continued to radiate that beautiful green light.

Ming Zixin and He Jingyi were really confused by this situation. The pendant was shining really brightly on the kid's sash. But nothing like turning into green jade happened.

"What kind of situation is this? Did we get the wrong kid?"

He Jingyi asked with a confused look. Glancing at the pendant hanging down from the kid's sash, Ming Zixin shook his head. It's impossible that they got the wrong kid because...just look at the illumination of the pendant. It was letting out the brightest green light on the kid's sash unlike when he held it earlier.

So this kid must have some kind of connection with the pendant. Or maybe, he have a connection with its real owner. Things seemed to be more complicated than they had expected. Relaying his thoughts to his princess, Ming Zixin and He Jingyi agreed to let the kid go. If their hunch was true and this kid really had connection with the pendant's real owner, they must set the kid free and stalk him secretly for a couple of days. If they were lucky, they might find someone suspicious in the kid's environment who could be this pendant's real owner.

" Okay, kid...I can't tell if you are just lucky or unlucky, but for now, we're gonna let you escape.

Zixin...I think you need to erase both of the kid's and his mom's memories. "

Nodding his head without saying anything, Ming Zixin hovered his right hand over the kid's head. Suddenly, rays of blue light radiate from his palm before landing on the kid's head. The child held his head with both of his hands, wailing from the unbearable pain. Maybe it was because of extreme pain. In the next second, the child collapsed onto the ground just beside his mom.

This was how Ming Zixin's ability of erasing memories worked. Every time he erased someone else's memories, the preys had to go through such an unbearable pain before part of their memories had been permanently deleted. He did the same to the unconscious lady on the ground as well.

After doing all the things they needed to do, the crown prince and his princess left carefreely, leaving the unconscious pair of mom and son in the middle of a little alley......
