Ways to handle this little demon

Chapter 142 - Unqualified Cultivator Of Wind Spiritual Root

Suddenly, a sharp dagger swiftly flew towards him which Yang Zhiqiang barely managed to avoid. If only he failed to react in time, right now, his head might have been pierced by it already. And it would be the absolute end of him.

Unsheathing his sword, Yang Zhiqiang prepared to confront the enemy in the dark. Though the enemy was unidentified, there was already a possible suspect in his mind.....demonic princess, He Jingyi.

Yang Zhiqiang had no idea how come such an infamous demonic princess was in the forest of Tian. Since he had been idle most of the time, Yang Zhiqiang rarely cultivated attentively these days no matter how his masters and brother made him to. Who would have expected he would meet such a formidable enemy in Tian Forest near emerald jade mountain?

It wasn't even that long since he left elsewhere with his little Xiang. But this demonic princess had already killed his talented seniors. Yang Zhiqiang was not even sure if he would be able to confront this princess just by himself. But, he couldn't give in just like that either. He had to try his best and protect his own life. If he died, his little Xiang was going to find a new owner. And Yang Zhiqiang didn't want it.

Yang Zhiqiang was waiting for the next move of the enemy when, in the next second, hundreds of black daggers came, aiming at him from all sorts of direction. If he couldn't avoid all these daggers, not only him but his little Xiang, who was sleeping with its body wrapped around his forearm, would also be in great danger.

Using his whirlwind, Yang Zhiqiang leapt into the air and tried his best to avoid all the daggers. But for a young cultivator like him who only had talents but no hard work, there's no way he would be able to get out of this attack unscathed.

Using his sword, Yang Zhiqiang defended himself whilst avoiding as many daggers as he could. But his reflexes were not quick and neat enough, resulting in himself getting deep scratches all over the body. How he hated himself for not training hard enough in the past...Now he couldn't even properly protect himself from a couple of daggers.

For a wind spiritual root cultivator like him, his reflexes should have been as swift and invisible as wind. But, now what's with this situation? All his movements had many flaws. Even if he didn't avoid or try to defend himself and just stayed still, he might not get injured this much. But now, due to his flawed moves, it was as if Yang Zhiqiang was deliberately collecting injuries all over his body.

At least, he didn't lose his life, right? Stopping his bleeding wound on the left arm, Yang Zhiqiang puffed and huffed. Fuck!! It seemed like the enemy couldn't let him relax even for a second. Now, there came another shower of daggers.

Creating several whirlwinds around himself, Yang Zhiqiang sent many daggers bouncing back to the opposite direction. Seeing a dagger passed his whirlwinds and came to his way, Yang Zhiqiang swayed his body to the left to avoid. But, what he didn't realize was that, at the moment, another dagger was also coming towards him from a different angle. The moment Yang Zhiqiang realized it, it was already too late to avoid. There's no way he was going to avoid it with his slow reflexes. Was it really just the end of him?

Yang Zhiqiang inwardly scolded himself for not training hard enough. If only he took a little bit more interest in cultivation, if only he listened to his brother and trained a bit more seriously, he wouldn't be in such a situation as pathetic as of right now. Just as he thought the dagger was piercing his head, it suddenly stopped right in front of his eyes. The dagger was stopped because the ground beneath his feet suddenly raised up like a sea wave and protect him.

Head disciples of Jianyu Sect are coming...

Once Yang Zhiqiang realized it was a cultivator with earth spiritual root who saved him, this was the very first thing that came to his mind. But, to the dismay of Yang Zhiqiang, just in the next second, he figured out, it was not a savior but just another enemy. Granted, the giant rock beneath his feet raised up and did protect him from the dagger. But in the next second, the earth around himself suddenly rose up from the face of the earth just like giant sea waves before engulfing half of his body and restrain him.

The only difference of these two enemies was that, one wanted him alive when the other wanted his dead body. But this another enemy right now.... was a righteous cultivator? This kind of move was definitely that of a cultivator with earth spiritual root. Though he was a good-for-nothing son of Yang family, as a cultivator, he wasn't that stupid not to even be able to recognize such an obvious thing.

Yang Zhiqiang was wondering who the hell was that cultivator was, when the two culprits finally showed up of their own accord and walked over to him.

"Jingyi, I've already told you we need to spare one of them. My princess..... listen to me, okay? "

"Alright.....alright..... just stop calling me princess already. Do you think it's great to get called a princess when I'm now in my male form?"

"Sigh... I forgot it. I was wrong. I was wrong, so forgive this prince. "

"Humph! "

Even before the culprits came into his vision, Yang Zhiqiang could hear noises of two men quarreling. If it wasn't for the fact that both of them had male voices, Yang Zhiqiang might have even mistaken it for a lovers' quarrel. Lowering his voice as much as he could, Yang Zhiqiang whispered.

"Xiang... Can you hear me? Listen to your daddy and run away as far as possible right now. Daddy have to deal with them first, so you need to make your escape by yourself, okay? "

It sounded really funny to hear a mere sixteen-year-old young cultivator calling himself daddy of a demonic beast and whispering such caring words. Right now, both of Yang Zhiqiang's hands were restrained in giant rocks. He could barely move a finger. But for a little beast like his little snake, it wouldn't be that difficult to crawl out of his robes and make its own escape.

But the little white snake around his left forearm just didn't move at all. It couldn't be that his little Xiang was also injured, right?

Sensing his little Xiang didn't move at all, Yang Zhiqiang was worried and a bit distracted that he failed to realize Ming Zixin and He Jingyi was already right in front of him. Ming Zixin had himself disguised. But He Jingyi was in his true form.

Leaning in closer to Ming Zixin, the amused He Jingyi quietly whispered into the prince's ear.

"He is such a young lad. What if I scare the hell out of him with just a little threat, your Highness? "
