Ways to handle this little demon

"Hahaha....really funny.....

How dare you speak to me like this?!"

What Zhang Long Wei said earlier had angered Li Qing for real. At first, he was about to let the boy go just like this, lest he would be the bully here. But the boy's words were just too rude and discourteous.To speak to a senior disciple and also elder brother of his like this...he even wondered from whom Li Zian learnt such incredibly good manners.

Li Qing was already aiming Zhang Long Wei with his incoming punch when a stern tone of his buddy rang out behind Zhang Long Wei.

" Li Qing, stop!

It's enough."

His fist stopped in mid-air as Li Qing twisted his head to look into Wang Li Jie's direction. Zhang Long Wei's eyes widened a bit when he heard the youth. Wang Li Jie was in a bad condition just now. Why did he even come here to talk to the two of them? The youth should be resting by himself in the shelter. No need to tire himself by coming to smooth things between him and Li Qing.

With frustration, Li Qing sighed, trying to calm his anger down, before relaxing his fist eventually. Despite feeling really dissatisfied, Li Qing just decided to let Li Zian go for now. Glancing at the injuries on Zhang Long Wei's face and his swollen right eye, Li Qing sighed again. Yeah...he had already give this boy a good lesson he deserved. But if he couldn't control his own anger and went beyond this, it would only be his bad.

" Today, you are in charge of patrolling, right?"

Pursing his lips, Li Qing gave a perfunctory nod to his buddy, a vague frown still on his face. One could spot mild anger which were refusing to wear off in Li Qing's eyes.

" You just go back tonight. I'm patrolling in your stead. Just don't forget.

Tomorrow is my real turn to patrol, so you have to help me out back. "

Li Qing knew Wang Li Jie was about to say this. After all, he and Li Zian had an intense fight just now. After all this happened, it was absolutely impossible for he and Li Zian to patrol and guard the same village without getting into another fight tonight. 

" Fine."

Scratching his head in frustration, Li Qing agreed. After such an incident, he also was no longer in the mood for his duty, let alone to do it with a particular eyesore. The evening sky was getting murky bit by bit. And since he was distracted by his own anger and frustration, Li Qung failed to recognize his buddy's condition. 

Though Wang Li Jie was forcing himself to talk to Li Qing in his normal tone without trembling so much, still, he didn't manage to act that well, his tone a bit weaker, his body trembling somewhat from the cold even when he was restraining himself this much. 

Wang Li Jie even thought his buddy was immediately going to recognize his condition. But it didn't happen. It was as if the youth even need to thank Li Qing for being distracted by his own problems and anger.

In next to no time, Li Qing left. Not long after Li Qing completely disappeared from their sight, Zhang Long Wei relaxed his creased brows before turning to ask the youth worriedly. 

" Li Jie.....

Are you okay?"

Wang Li Jie looked up at his little master with a weak expression that seemed to be saying "Of course not". He had just taken a step to Zhang Ling Wei when his trembling legs gave away and collapsed in the next second. 

" Li Jie!..."

Fortunately, Zhang Long Wei had reached out very fast and caught the youth in time before he hit the ground. Leaning against his little master's chest, the youth kept groaning and whimpering. 

".... ugh..... cold....cold...ahhh....why is it so cold?.... "

They were not in their own sect anymore, so Zhang Long Wei couldn't bring the youth to his chamber either. They needed somewhere private, quiet and warm for the youth to rest.

Zhang Long Wei was thinking of where he should bring the youth to when he remembered a recently renovated inn in the village. 

" Just hold on for a bit longer. I'll get a room at a nearby inn for you. "

Saying this, Zhang Long Wei bent down a bit as he picked up the youth with a hand under his knees and the other under his shoulders. Wang Li Jie seemed to be taken aback for a moment. But the youth was quick to relax, realizing his own poor condition. He couldn't even walked a step by himself anymore. Of course, if Zhang Long Wei didn't carry him, what was he supposed to do instead? 

Snuggling his face into Zhang Long Wei's warm chest, the youth was about to nod off when he felt the cold fabric of Jianyu sect uniform on his cheeks.

Ahh... he almost forgot. They couldn't go like this... 

Zhang Long Wei was adjusting their position so that the youth would be more comfortable in his arms when Wang Li Jie's weak and soft tone rang out in his arms. 

"No, you can't."

Zhang Long Wei didn't quite understand it at first. What did Wang Li Jie mean by "he can't"? Could it be that the youth was talking about his suggestion to go to the inn? 

" What? Why?"

" We can't...our sect uniforms....villagers will know it."

Yeah... he almost forgot. If they went like this with their Jianyu sect uniforms, both of them were going to be really eye-catching. It didn't matter if it were some other times. But now, he and the youth were in such an ambiguous pose. They couldn't really walk into an inn like this, lest people started questioning manners of their sect members. 

" Sigh.....okay, I'll think of a way."

Zhang Long Wei was checking his left and right, trying to find something that could help them quickly disguise when he spotted two black cloaks hanging down from a window frame of the shelter.

The demon didn't know which unfortunate villager left those cloaks for the two of them to readily use. With quick steps, Zhang Long Wei walked over to grab them. Putting one on himself, he also wrapped one around Wang Li Jie. Poor Li Jie did fail to notice he had just made an accomplice in a crime of stealing someone else's property. 

"Hold me tight. "

With that said, Zhang Long lept up into the sky with the dozing off youth in his arms. Jumping up from one building to another so that they could reach the inn in seconds, a casual thought occurred to Zhang Long Wei. 

Why do he really like this feeling of protecting Wang Li Jie anyway? ......
