As she reached the Feng Corporation Headquarter, Feng Jianyu was waiting for her at the front entrance holding a brown paper bag. A frown marred his features as he caught the sight of her tired appearance.

'This girl! What type of boss this Mr. X is to make his employees work until so late?' Feng Jianyu's heart bled for her.

Instead of opening the passenger seat door, he first opened the back seat door to put the paper bag. His eyes caught sight of a huge bouquet of roses, teddy bear and a card. He itched to open the card to read it, but controlled his urge. Besides the card was half open and he could clearly read the last lines, 'Waiting for your call. Love X'.

Feng Jianyu's face darkened reading those lines. He had a sudden urge to give a solid punch to that Mr. X and break his bones. Perhaps if Mr. X comes in front of him right now, he might pounce on him like a hungry tiger and rip him apart.

Closing his eyes, he took a deep breath to calm down his anger.

Xiu Mei looked over from the driver's seat, "CEO Feng, What happen? What's taking you so long?"

Without answering her, he closed the back seat door, walked to the driver's seat and knocked on to the window.

Xiu Mei frowned at his strange behavior, she pressed the button to roll down the window pane, "What happen CEO Feng?"

He answered coldly, "Get off, I'll drive"

"But CEO Feng….."

Before she could say anything, he opens the car door. Placing a hand gently under her elbow, he firmly pulled her out of the car. She realized what he was up to and pulled her hand from his grip. Her pull was so strong that she staggered two steps backward and came to stop in the middle of the road.

He shouted angrily, "Mei…" A car screeched near her, as he pulled her back to safety. She tried to prise Feng Jianyu's grip off her arm but in vain. Feeling enraged by her unreasonable behavior, he gripped her arm tightly and dragged her to the shotgun seat of the car, opened the door and pushed her into the seat.

"CEO Feng, let go of me", she shouted, still trembling from the near accident she just survived.

"Mei, get inside the car… you are not in a condition to drive back home", Feng Jianyu's voice was harsher as his temper soured. He just saw her almost got hit by the car again, only God knows how he was controlling his anger on this stubborn little girl.

This is the first time, he has raised his voice on her. He is very well aware that he is a short-tempered person, but with her, he had always been gentle, even while arguing.

She noticed the arm holding her was tense and the nerves were protruding out, but surprisingly his grip was not hurting her. He was obviously holding back his temper.

"No, first let me go", she was adamant. She refused to put her feet in and did her best to stay out of the car.

"Mei," Feng Jianyu lost his patience. "Stop being silly. You are tired, let me drive both of us safely back home" He bent down to lift her in his arms. She was wearing a denim skirt and his touch on her bare legs sent a wave of electric current in her whole body.

She immediately moved away from him, and get inside the car feeling apprehensive about his next move. Sitting back in her seat, she was resentful at his behavior.

Feng Jianyu sprinted over to the driver's seat but did not start the car's engine.

She was getting confused at his strange behavior, 'What medicine he forgot to take? Why is he behaving like this?'

"CEO Feng, can you...…."

Before she could say anything, Feng Jianyu moved closer to her face, he was so close that their face was just inches apart from each other.

Xiu Mei "….. "

'What now? Is he going to kiss me? No! Not allowed'

"CEO….."

Before she could oppose him, he extended his hand and pulled the seat belt.

Xiu Mei "…."

'Corrupt mind, Xiu Mei! You forgot to buckle up the seat belt…. Relax! '

Feng Jianyu looked at her with raised brows, feeling embarrassed, she turned her head away from him.

Xiu Mei did not utter a single word as Feng Jianyu drives to the mountain villa. He saw the resentful look on her face and knew very well that he had caused it. He himself was unable to understand his sudden outbreak, if he was angrier because of those gifts send by Mr. X or he was angrier at Xiu Mei's indifferent behavior towards him.
