What?! The Gamemaster And The Top Player Are Dating?!

Chapter 142 - Li Ling Is Still Angry?

The area around them changed once again and this time, it was pitch black and in front of them was a ten-second timer along with the betting options.

This time, Zhihao didn't place a bet on himself since he found that the betting system was nothing but a huge waste since he had already placed a bet on himself twice and if he placed one more, he won't be able to place any more bets. He didn't think he needed to use that three-times-bet-on-oneself system right now so he waited the ten seconds out.

After the betting time was over, they were transported to the level that was assigned to them and since BBtrash and Hulk0_0 had joined them as members of a temporary team, they were all transported to the same level, however, Zhihao could only see Li Ling and Wang GuiYing, it seemed that Zhou XinYi was nowhere to be found.

"Where did he go?" Wang GuiYing asked as he looked around but still couldn't spot him.

[Welcome to D-ranked level 607: Metropolis war!]

Zhihao immediately froze up as he heard this and read through the pop-up notification twice to make sure that he wasn't seeing wrong.

They were finally in a Divine ranked level. The second hardest level that was known in T.I..A.D. (if non-ranked levels weren't taken into account.)

"Zhou Xiny-" BBtrash was going to shout but stopped in shock as he double-checked if he was seeing right.

Zhihao was excited to play, whereas Wang GuiYing was excited to run away from this level. Divine ranked levels were too much of a trouble for him so for a second, he wondered if it was too late to quit.

Zhihao looked around to see the situation.

The three of them were wearing heavy suits made out of steel and it almost made them look like robots.

Because of the sensory equipment, Zhihao was wearing, he could feel the heat that had been trapped inside this metal suit and it was enough to make him sweat.

They seemed to be standing in front of a ticket counter of an amusement park, but there was no staff inside the ticket counter.

Zhihao saw Li Ling jumping over the entry and entering the amusement park without a ticket and he followed after the man who was still mad at him.

"W-wait for me!" Wang GuiYing cried out as he ran after them.

Zhihao didn't wait, but BBtrash was still able to catch up to him.

[I always loved amusement parks!]

It was the little Alvi who had spoken up as she followed after Li Ling.

This amusement park had an eery feel to it. All the rides were turned on and the lights were as bright as ever. There used to be people here, at least, according to the traces left behind, it could be concluded that there were humans here, however, they couldn't spot anyone else except for the three of them and little Alvi.

The paper tickets were all littered on the floor and were flying around due to the wind that Zhihao couldn't feel because of the heavy suit he was wearing.

Zhihao looked at the ice cream cone that was lying on the ground, upside down as if someone had dropped it. The ice cream had only just begun to melt so it was clear that a few minutes before this, someone was here.

"Woah!" Wang GuiYing sounded a bit shocked and amused as he exclaimed, "It's like everyone just..."

"Disappeared." Zhihao completed the sentence. For the first time in his life, Zhihao felt as if he agreed with Wang GuiYing.

This amusement was rather a bit creepy because it seemed to be filled with people and yet completely empty as if everyone who was here had suddenly vanished into thin air.

Zhihao jolted in shock when he suddenly heard a loud noise and it was coming from the Ferris wheel that had suddenly started moving.

"That scared me!" Wang GuiYing exclaimed with a hand over his heart.

Li Ling, "Be alert."

Zhihao wanted to talk to Li Ling but it seemed that he couldn't find the perfect time to.

Wang GuiYing watched the Ferris wheel go round and round and suddenly his eyes went wide as he noticed something.

Li Ling stopped walking and so did Zhihao.

[Hey Mastermo! Can I hitch a ride?]

"Eh?"

Alvi didn't wait around for Zhihao to respond as she directly climbed on top of him and took a seat on his shoulder. This metal suit was quite big and reminded Zhihao of an old movie called 'The transformers' so it was rather comfortable for Alvi to sit on his shoulder.

Zhihao didn't complain about it since it wasn't affecting him, but when he looked at the Ferris wheel and noticed what the others had noticed, his own eyes went wide as he took a few steps back and goosebumps rose on his back.

Wang GuiYing suddenly realized that perhaps this level was the worst level to choose in order to try out this sensory gaming room. It was either the worst or the absolute best depending upon a player's preference. If they liked adventure and were okay with getting hurt, this level would be the best for them and if they were afraid of getting hurt and valued their lives, this level was the absolute worse.

Wang GuiYing valued his life a lot and didn't want to get himself hurt so it was only natural that he found it to be the worst level to try out this new technology. He almost wanted to curse at himself for tagging along with Zhihao.

If Zhihao and Li Ling wanted to go on a date in this level, Wang GuiYing would want to question their mental sanity. This was worse than a date at a horror house!

The Ferris wheel had started transforming and from the middle of it, there was a pair of eyes opening. These eyes didn't look like a humans, rather, they seemed to mimic an insect's eye. Just two huge beads of black.

The sound of the Ferris wheel grew louder and louder as the thing started breaking down and reforming into something that looked like a mechanical spider. A really big robotic spider.

[Yeah... That thing looks dangerous.]

Zhihao nodded as he took a few steps back.

It didn't take more than a minute for the Ferri wheel to completely turn into a spider that was now glaring at them.

The robotic spider opened its mouth and there was a ball of bright orange light inside its mouth.

Zhihao was amazed by how real everything felt. He was scared and excited. His heart was beating fast and he was sweating profusely.

The spider took a few steps forward and the ball of light inside its mouth started growing bigger and bigger.

"Careful!" It was Li Ling, who immediately turned around and warned them. He ran towards Zhihao and grabbed his hand to pull him along as he ran.

Wang GuiYing also didn't waste time reacting as he soon realized that this spider-like thing was planning on attacking them.

In under a few seconds, the ball of light was released in the form of a laser beam that was aiming right at them, but because they were running so fast, it was tracing along the way they ran.

Zhihao couldn't help but be a little curious as he glanced back to see the situation and just as he did, he started running even faster.

The laser beam was strong and burned everything that came in contact with it. Hard metals all melted away on contact and things such as the paper tickets and the ice cream, dissipated into nothing.

If that beam were to touch them, Zhihao was sure that he would be able to experience the heat in hell.

This suit that was protecting them would become a trap that would burn them alive.

They ran to the entrance of the amusement park and the spider followed after them with its laser beam still shooting at them.

When they got out of the amusement park, the laser beam had stopped following them and when Zhihao looked back again, he found that the spider had also stopped following them.

It seemed that the Ferris wheel spider was limited to moving inside the amusement park and couldn't follow them outside.

They ran and ran till they were sure that there was enough distance between them and that weird amusement park.

Zhihao looked around the park that they had run into. At a single glance, nothing seemed to be wrong with this park, but Zhihao was still able to notice a small detail that was out of place.

This park was also empty just like the amusement park. In fact, this whole city was empty.

The cars that were on the road were all still turned on and some were beeping due to some reason.

"Everyone disappeared..." Zhihao didn't know why, but he had a bad feeling about all of this.

If all of humanity were to suddenly vanish, this would be the scene that would greet him and the thought scared him just a bit.
