What?! The Gamemaster And The Top Player Are Dating?!

Doji was a tricky demon who loved making trouble. Every one here knew his personality and his habits of doing the most dangerous and unexpected things, compared to him, Taki wasn't considered all too innocent but the kind of trouble the two caused was far different from each other. 

Doji would go around fighting ghosts and demons, making them submit to his authority. He was what you'd call a bully and the only people who didn't know this side of him were the demon king and his brother Taki. He would act innocent in front of his father, and his brother was never here so he was naturally unaware of this demon's bully-like personality. 

Taki was not innocent, but compared to his brother, he was still considered somewhat better since all the troubles he caused were in one way or another related to the human realm such as the current trouble he caused which was just dating a human.

It was clear who the suspect was.

Taki was not interested in anything except if it belonged to the human realm so that left them with only one possible suspect. 

Doji. 

Zhihao sighed, he knew that this man was innocent but he wasn't sure if he should stand up for him. Personally speaking, he didn't really like the man but the original Taki didn't hate him so, at this moment, Zhihao will have to unwillingly stand up for this man. 

He really didn't want to. 

"I-I really... didn't..." Doji took a few steps back as he saw everyone glaring at him. He understood the situation well. If he didn't want to become minced meat, he was supposed to run but he was too shocked to do anything. His feet were not able to move more than a few steps as he directly stumbled and fell on his butt. 

Zhihao decided to step forward, "It wasn't him."

The crowd suddenly shifted their gaze and looked at Taki who had come to speak up for his brother. 

Doji was a bit stunned to see Taki helping him out. He didn't really like this feeling, it made him feel pathetic. They were rivals for crying out loud! 

If it was Taki who was cornered right now, Doji would never help and instead, he would be the first one to kick him. So why? Just why was this man always like this? Why was he always acting like this nice brother? Always protecting him and standing up for him. Just why? Why was he always making him feel so pathetic? Was he really no match for this pure-blood?! Was he really that pathetic?! Was he living in a delusion thinking that they were rivals?!

Zhihao didn't see this coming. 

A tear traced down on the cheeks of the demon.

[Oh wow]

[He's crying.]

[Good job Mastermo!]

Zhihao didn't know what to do. What had he done? Why was this demon suddenly crying? Was he always such a crybaby? 

One look and Zhihao was able to say that this was no acting. This man was actually crying. 

Doji couldn't believe it himself. He was crying. He was freaking crying! WHY?! 

He was never this weak so why now? Just why were these tears not stopping?!

Zhihao moved forward and tried to help his brother up but Doji pushed his hand away, "It was me! I did it!"

Zhihao was shocked to see the red eyes of the demon. These red eyes were different than Taki's or the demon king's, they were red because he was crying. The anger, the sadness, the frustration, Zhihao could see it all clearly. 

Zhihao knew that Doji was innocent so why this man suddenly lying? 

Doji instantly stood up as he wiped his tears away and yelled once again, "It was me! Are you happy now?!"

Doji and Taki shared a face and when Zhihao saw such a reaction from this demon, he was more than shocked because it was his own face. He had never seen his face twist like this, never had he been so frustrated so it was really refreshing to see such a sight. 

Zhihao suddenly made a mental note to himself. He looked really ugly while crying like this so he would never be doing it.

Doji's feet which were frozen came back to life and he ran away. 

"A-are we supposed to catch him?"

"He's just going to run away?"

"How dare he run away?!"

"Someone go after him!"

Zhihao woke up from his thoughts and reacted immediately as he saw the guards getting ready to run after the demon, "Stop. It's not him."

"Didn't he just confess? Who else could it be?!"

Zhihao shook his head, "He was with me the entire time so it couldn't have been him."

Zhihao didn't know why he was suddenly protecting this demon, but when he saw the demon using his face to cry like that, his heart softened a bit. 

It wasn't like he was the real suspect anyhow so there was really no use following after him. 

The demon king looked at Taki and supported his statement, "It's not him."

Now that the demon king had said so himself, the others would not dare say anything to refute it even if they weren't as convinced in their hearts. 

Zhihao glanced at Kazan, "Where is Hasumi?"

Zhihao had finally noticed something suspicious. 

When the ritual didn't work and when the soul went missing, everyone was shocked, at least everyone except for a certain demon that had not shown any signs of shock and simply had his head down the entire time. 

Kazan was acting suspicious but it seemed that Taki was the only one that noticed him. Just because Doji didn't know what was happening didn't mean Kazan was also in the clear. 

Kazan heard Taki and looked up, his lips curled up in a smile, "You think I'll tell you?"

Zhihao sighed as he stepped forward towards Kazan. 

While messing around with his inventory and functions, Zhihao had stumbled upon something very useful. He should have realized it before but he was too busy to. If he had to role-play someone else, he would naturally not only be getting their body but also their powers. 

Alvi had told him that Taki was a very powerful demon, falling second maybe only to the demon king. All that power was now in Zhihao's hands to use and he was unaware of it because he didn't go through the list of new functions that opened up. 

Now that he knew how powerful he was, there was no way he would need to back down. The only person here whom he really had to be afraid of was the demon king who favored him. 

Kazan never stopped smiling as he saw Taki moving towards him. His smile grew wider and he looked like a maniac. 

"You should tell me, love." Zhihao mentally cringed at what he had just called the demon. 

Kazan didn't seem to be taken back by the way he was referred to and instead, he looked even more crazed like a druggie. 

[Flirting the answer out?]

[Good strategy!]

Zhihao wanted the ground to swallow him up. It wasn't a strategy, he was just still out of it from the kiss earlier and somehow the words fell through his mouth. He felt like he had caught BBtrash's bad habit. 

Zhihao's face betrayed nothing. He looked down at the demon who was staring up at him with the craziest look and the creepiest smile he had ever seen. 

"Didn't I tell you?" Kazan spoke up, "You'll come to me."

"Huh?"

"You'll beg for me! I'll drag you down!"

Zhihao stopped in his tracks with an amused smile on his face and glaring red eyes. 

Just what in the hell was this demon spouting?!

"You find me disgusting?! I'm low for you?! Then I'll taint you in the mud! I'll make you be disgusted in yourself! I'll drag you down and make you beg for me to take you back!" This demon had completely lost it. At this moment, Zhihao felt like this demon had suddenly become alike a ticking time bomb that was ready to go off at any given moment now, "You want me to turn this place upside down?! I'll do it! I'll do whatever needed!"

"...You're crazy." Zhihao didn't know what to say to all that. This demon was crazy. 

At first, Zhihao felt a bit bad for him. His biggest mistake was falling in love. He fell in love with a demon and tried to chase after him. His love might have started off as something innocent and pure but it had turned into an obsession. A sick obsession that had ruined this man. 

This demon was beyond redemption. 

"You think I'm crazy?! Yes, I'm crazy for you! You are the reason I am like this! You are the one who is to blame! Don't act so innocent!" Kazan's eyes turned red due to the anger, "You are the worst! Acting so nice and sweet?! What a joke! You are the worst type of demon there is! Hahahaha... I'll make you regret rejecting me!"

Zhihao shook his head. 

This demon was beyond repair but it seemed that he had misunderstood something. 

"I rejected you? Saw you as some lowly demon? Disgusted by you?" Zhihao scoffed, "Why are you blaming all this on me when these are all your thoughts?"

Zhihao had understood Taki perfectly by this point in time and all these things weren't to be blamed on Taki because that man was really innocent. 

Taki would never think of things like this. This was all the poison that Doji had filled Kazan's ears with. If anything, the real Taki had really loved this man, at least up until they broke up. Maybe Taki had seen how crazy he made this demon and that was the reason why he broke up with him. 

If Zhihao's guesses were correct, it was really a pity. To see your lover become crazy because of you and having to leave them so that you can heal them, but that only caused them to finally lose their mind completely? 

Did Taki know something like this would happen? Probably not. He had probably left Kazan simply because he didn't want to ruin him anymore. 

If Taki was present here and saw this, how would he react? Would he be mad? Would he feel guilty? Would he deny that it was his fault? Would he decide to not react at all?

No.

Taki wouldn't do any of that. 

Zhihao looked at Kazan with an odd expression that Kazan wasn't expecting. 

A single tear dripped down Zhihao's eyes.

It wasn't him crying, it was Taki. 

If Taki saw this scene, he would've been sad. 

Zhihao finally understood what he was to do. 

Kazan was thoroughly shocked to see the tear. He had expected a lot. He expected the man to refuse to take the blame, maybe even be repulsed by him. He hoped Taki would lash out at him and kill him on the spot. 

But why was this man crying? How is he the victim here? It was clearly Kazan who was supposed to cry!

Zhihao took a deep breath in and closed his eyes, "I've failed you."

Kazan was speechless. 

He waited. 

He waited for this man to explain what he had just said. He waited patiently but he got nothing else. 

Zhihao turned around and walked away. 

Kazan didn't move for a minute and after the minute was over, he came back to reality. 

He tried to stand up and move but the guards didn't let him. 

"You're gonna run away?! That's it?! Taki!!" Kazan called after him, but Zhihao didn't turn around. 

[You were a perfect Taki just now.]

[But you missed something.]

[If it was Taki, he would've kissed the demon for one last time.]

"I'm definitely not kissing anyone."

[Didn't you just kiss Devilmagiclover?]
