“What are you doing here?” Yun Yiyi was surprised to see Gu Jingyan.

“Obviously, I came to watch you make a fool of yourself,” Gu Jingyan said playfully, clearly enjoying himself. He did not think it was strange for him to show up at Yun Yiyi’s workplace.

“Can’t I just visit my wife?” Gu Jingyan leaned forward slightly. A faint scent of magnolia wafted into his nose. It was as elegant as the person standing before him. He reached out to hug her shoulders.

“Gu Jingyan, have you forgotten our agreement?” Yun Yiyi was holding the box so she had a difficult time shaking Gu Jingyan’s arms off.  She said indignantly, “It’s not like you to be so affectionate. Please let me go!” She, naturally, did not believe his act.

“I won’t let you go.” Gu Jingyan looked at Yun Yiyi who was struggling in his arms. “You smell good.”

Yun Yiyi’s hair stood on end when she heard his words, and her stomach churned, making her feel nauseous. Unable to endure it anymore, she threw the box on the floor before she fiercely stomped on his foot. She dug the five-centimeter-long heel into his foot without any reservations. When Gu Jingyan’s face scrunched up in pain, she seized the chance to push him away. “Gu Jingyan, you’re really disgusting. You…”

Gu Jingyan acted as though he did not hear her. Before she finished speaking, he reached out to hug her again.
