"Millie is a fae." He inhales sharply. "I am not sure about what he is talking about. I will go now."

"I will come with you." I release him. Millie is a fae? Was Nick eating drugs? "Don't even think of saying no! We should head to the forest as soon as possible."

He looks at me and sighs. "You won't listen to me even if I deny."

"You are right about that." I wear my coat. The window is closed. There is no moonlight in my room and there is no strange woman asking me strange questions either. "I wonder what Maisie is doing. She said that I was her backup, but she hasn't called."

"Maybe she is caught up with something." He takes my hand, squeezing it light as usual. Today, he's not very talkative. The Krauss family must have miffed him. As he heads toward the door, I see my mother sitting on the couch in the living room. She scowls at me when she sees me with Baek Joon Woo.

I shrug. I don't care what she thinks about us anymore. She has lost all the respect.

"It's late." I hear her say when we reach the door. "You shouldn't go out in this hour."

Baek Joon Woo stops in his tracks, turning around to look at her. He hesitates, opening and closing his mouth. He is still the same. I don't know why he can't speak up at a time like this. Then again, he doesn't speak up unless it's his last option.

"After killing your grandchild," I scoff at my mother's back, "you still want to act like my mother. Whether I live or die, it's none of your business."

I drag Baek Joon Woo out of the damned house. I want to leave it soon. I don't care anymore about Killian or Baek Joon Woo. There are times when I don't like how hesitating Baek Joon Woo is. I will leave the house and find a part-time job. I will go to community college instead. I don't want to depend on Baek Joon Woos parents either. Since the child is gone, we don't have to marry right now. He should pursue his dreams.

"Your mother makes your life difficult."

"You think?" I glare at him. "She killed our child."

He doesn't reply to me. His pace is rather slow. Maisie and Oliver are in the forest. Nick is there too. I have no idea how Millie became a fae. I have seen her for years. She is quiet and all, but she is anything but a fae. I think that there is a higher chance that she is an alien or a cyborg. But a fae? I can never imagine her as a fairy.

Millie in a sparkling dress with a wand? Nope!

Hopefully, everyone is safe.

We reach the forest in fifteen minutes. The gate is open. Maisie must have broken the lock. She can do anything when she is excited or angry.

Baek Joon Woo walks beside me, holding my hand. Silence is in the forest. He is also silent. I don't know why I am breaking this silent. I hate too much silence while he loves it. My heartbeat is racing against my c.h.e.s.t. The ominous feeling becomes stronger as we cross the outer region of the forest.

A thick hot musky scent wafts into my nose. I hear odd sounds. Strange slick sounds. Hisses mixed with groans. My steps slow down, growing heavier.

There are men in front of me.

My mind isn't working. I can't move any more.

They haven't noticed me yet.

Their bodies are filled with a layer of brown and black fur. The lower parts of their bodies are not human. They are shaped in an odd way, something similar to equines, but not exactly like them either.

Their eyes are red as blood. I can see their hot breaths coming out of their mouths. They are standing in two groups, only a few feet apart from each other. I don't know what they are doing. I don't think that I want to know.

I take a step back as slowly and soundlessly as I can.

A hand presses against my back. It's cold as ice. Cold and wet. I shudder as I look over my shoulder. Baek Joon Woo is standing behind me. His eyes are filled with dismay. The corner of his lips is curled down gloomily.

"I don't hate you." He leans closer and kisses me on my lips. Then, he brushes his thumb against my cheek. And then, he turns my head around, making me look at the horrendous creatures again. "I don't hate you, Nell Solomon."

The half-men toss something on the ground. It makes a soggy sound. I look at the boy. It's hard to recognize him. His eyes are still open, staring up at the sky. His mouth is widened and bleeding. His lips have been chewed off.

His body has been clawed all over. Arms and legs are twisted and broken. There is bleeding between his t.h.i.g.hs.

Someone turns his body around and widens his legs, thrusting the enlarged furry c.o.c.k in the dead body. The creature growls when another one comes closer, but he is too occupied to deter him away. The second creature grabs the boy's head and pushes his p.e.n.i.s in his lifeless mouth. The third one rubs his p.e.n.i.s against his back.

I don't want to see this. Oliver is dead. He has been killed. But I can't close my eyes.

Baek Joon Woo turns my head toward the others. I see Maisie's head. Parts of her hair have been ripped away from her scalp. Her cheeks have been scratched cruelly. Two satyrs are behind her, ramming into her from behind while blood is dripping on the grass. One of them has it in her mouth. Then, there is a fourth one, taking her from the bottom.

Her pupils move. Our eyes met. She blinks her eyes, turning her head slowly as if she is asking me not to come and help her.

"Do you like what you see?" Baek Joon Woo's voice is deeper. "Her hole is rather loose, isn't it? If she had been a v.i.r.g.i.n, I would have taken her with me."

The person behind me isn't Baek Joon Woo.

My eyes turn watery. I bite my cheek, but I can't even move my fingers. He takes off clothes one by one while I see my best friend being violated in front of me. She is breaking. The pain in her eyes is raw. She closes her eyes as she loosens her fists. I see the life leaving her as her body becomes lifeless. They don't stop.

"You are impure, but I want you so much." His face and voice belong to Baek Joon Woo. He bends down his head and smiles at me. "This isn't how you look at him."

I want to spit on his face. I want to kill him.

"You hate me, Nell." When he runs his fingers through his hair, it turns flamboyant red. The colour of his eyes changes to vibrant green. His skin becomes beige and smooth. The person before me is not Baek Joon Woo anymore. He is a tall man with an athletic build and a high nose. "What do you think of my delicate glamour magic? Didn't you get fooled?"

Bastard!

"I can't let you speak." He sighs. "They will notice you. Then, I can't stop them. They are satyrs in heat. Nothing can stop them except death at this moment. They will keep f.u.c.k.i.n.g your friends until their heat is gone. But it appears that even your friends aren't enough for them."

His gaze falls over me, studying me quietly. He grabs my n.i.p.p.l.e and twists it hard. I clench my teeth in pain.

"Why do you still look at me like that?" His nails puncture the flesh. "You should look at me beggingly."

I should have killed him the day he came to my window. I should have never met him. My friends are dead because of him.

"Such a stubborn woman." He c.o.c.ks his head lazily. "Maybe it's best if you join your friends."

He pushes me toward them.
