When did I get married

12 Gimme a weapon

Year 198 of the Dragon, Plutarch

A beautiful girl is seen sitting in the darkness. Silver moonlight falls on her figure. She glows like a second moon.

Soon, she hears a noise and gets up from her position. "Looks like you have finally come." She says.

"We have come and we will have revenge, Yi Lan." says a voice.

Standing in front of Yi Lan was a huge slice of cheesy pizza. Beside it was a large can of coke and a packet of long french fries.

"This time, I won't let you leave." Yi Lan says.

"As if you will be able to do that. Come, let's settle this once and for all." the pizza slice says.

Yi Lan leaps forward and brandishes a sword in hand. The slice does the same. It continues for a while, before Yi Lan smiles creepily and jumps on the slice.

With a wide mouth, she gulps the slice down. The other two shiver on seeing this. The french fries were trembling so much that they became droopy.

"Mmmm.. Droopy French fries are my favourite. I'll have you next." With that, Yi Lan leaps toward the french fries and proceeds to eat one, ignoring the cries of the two.

She bit into one, only to find it somewhat hard. "Why is this so hard?"

A cry of pain is heard and Yi Lan is pushed. She falls down with a groan. "Owwie. It hurts. Who pushed me down?! Wait, where did my pizza go? My French fries? My coke?! Nooo.." She moans.

"Are you done with your drama?" A familar voice is heard.

Yi Lan looks up with a glare, angry at the person who had shattered her dream.

"Stop glaring. In the first place, you sleep on my bed and then dare to bite me!" mutters Che Ling.

Yi Lan only snorts.

"I bring good news.' he says.

"Are you gonna die?!" asks Yi Lan with a slightly excited face.

"No."

"Then get out. What else would be good news?"

"You!! Forget it. Our engagement has been postponed by three months." Che Ling says heaving a sigh.

"It's not been cancelled?" Yi Lan frowns.

"No."

"Talk about useless." Yi Lan mutters.

Che Ling released some killing intent he had been holding back for some time. Unfortunately, Yi Lan had almost no reaction. "What? Angry? Come at me." Yi Lan taunted.

Somehow, Che Ling managed to calm down.

"Did you tell him about my reincarnation?" Yi Lan questioned.

"No."

"But why??"

"Do you want to be stripped off by whatever little power you have now? Right now, the only reason why you have survived is because of your position as heir of Yi clan."

"Heir? Then how come the previous owner was reduced to such a state?" Yi Lan furrows her eyebrows. She knew better than anyone about the nature of humans.

"You were heir only in name. In reality, you aren't treated as good as that."

"Is that so." Yi Lan had decided what to do. "Tell me where the clan quarters is." She demands of Che Ling.

Che Ling unwillingly tells her.

"Let's go take a look at my home." With that, Yi Lan wears an overcoat over her new robes and ties up her hair in a bun.

"Gimme a weapon."

"Huh?"

"You deaf or something?"

"No, but do you even know how to fight with one?" Che Ling says, a worried crease between his eyebrows.

"You forgot I'm reincarnated. I very well know how to fight with one." Yi Lan says in a bored tone. "What are you being all sappy for? Gimme a weapon."

He hands her a dagger with a curved end. Yi Lan places it in her hand and tests its compability. Satisfied, she nods and moves out of the palace.

Che Ling was in a dilemma. He didn't understand why he was helping this girl. As gratitude for Yi Meng? No, but both didn't interact with each other. In the end, Che Ling could only come up that he felt guilty.

Yi Clan quarters

Yi Lan saw a huge house with traditional furnishings everywhere. A total of hundred rooms were there. Yi Lan hadn't seen this place ever before, bu she felt familiar with it.

She could tell that Yi Meng had a strong attachment to it. With casual steps, Yi Lan stepped inside the Quarters. Almost immediately, an alarm rang out at full blast. Yi Lan was startled before she took a few steps back.

Many people came rushing out, to catch the intruder. To their surprise, they found Yi Lan standing there with a nonchalant look on her face.

"Ah, it's just that stupid trash." A woman dressed in black said aloud.

"She's so dumb, she doesn't even know how the alarm system works." Another one sniggers.

"I'm surprised she has the guts to come here again. If not for her status as the Crown Prince's betrothed, she would have been kicked out of the clan long ago."

The comments were never ending. Yet, Yi Lan only stood there with an indifferent air around her.

A man in black robes came forward and said in a loud voice." Enough with the comments. Do you all have no better work to do?" His silver hair glistened in the sun.

Yi Lan was slightly surprised. Looks like she didn't have only enemies around her. The man seemed sincere.

The man escorted her inside after doing some strange seals.

"You are?" Yi Lan asks as she sips tea.

"You don't know me? Is this a joke, Yi Meng?" The man asks in shock.

"I have lost my memories. You must be aware of the recent incident. You can call me Yi Lan. I prefer that name." Yi Lan's voice was soft, with a touch of darkness.

The man nodded after a while. "I'm the third commander of the Yi Corps- Yi Chen."

"Are you aware about your situation here?" He asks hesitatingly.

Yi Lan nods.

"That's good. I didn't want to share such gruesome news with you.' He says.

"Why did you support me?"

"It's not exactly support. It's just that I feel thr clan members treat you unfairly. Your parents, they were great warriors, their reputation high in even other lands. I looked upto them. Had they been here today, they would certainly have been sad to see their only daughter in a such a condition. Even though I pleaded the Elders to grant you some special status, I was shot down." He laughed bitterly.

Yi Lan stayed quiet.

Not long after, she heard noises nearby." What's all this noise?" She asks.

"The clan members have arranged a match in terms of hand to hand combat."

"Hand to hand combat?" Yi Lan's eyes sparkled.

"Yes. Do you want to watch?" He asks smiling.

"No, I want to participate." She replies.

Needless to say Yi Chen was speechless.

"Are you sure? You have just recovered. Not to mention, you don't know hand to hand combat." He says worried.

"Who said I didn't know?"

Yi Chen could only avert his eyes and lead Yi Lan to the sparring area.

Currently, a match between two youths were taking place. Yi Lan observed them for some time before making a 'Tsk' sound.

"What's wrong?" asks Yi Chen.

"Their way of fighting is too sloppy. The red man's posture is too bent. He only focuses on hitting with his hands. His legs are of almost no use except for dodging. Instead of bending over, he should have blocked that attack with his shoulder and catch the blue man's hand. The blue man is a bit better. He uses his hands and legs but his offence is a bit weak. See that attack? He was trying to aim for the red man's abdomen. He punched the abdomen, instead of using a palm technique. The palm technique would have made a bruise on the other's abdomen. Their skills are just pathetic. They don't even fight with killing intent. They treat this as fun and just come here to pass time. With this, they'll never be successful."

Yi Lan's voice had been a little too loud and almost everyone heard her.

Yi Chen was too stunned by Yi Lan's perception that was even greater than his, to notice the commotion around him.
