When did I get married

Yi Meng hummed a tune as she washed the dirty clothes kept in the bucket and wrung them dry. She then got up and hung them on a rope to dry. Just as she had finished hanging them all up, an attendant came from behind.

"Young Miss, His Majesty the Emperor has asked for your presence in the court room." The attendance bowed down.

Yi Meng raised her eyebrows in surprise. Usually, the Emperor wouldn't even bat an eye at her. But now he was asking for her? Must be because of the engagement between her and the crown prince.

She straightened up her dress and hair and followed the attendant to the court room. The attendant opened the heavy doors with a flick of his hands.

Yi Meng could only swallow bitterly. Even an attendant was stronger than her. Forget about Qi, she didn't even have a strong physique to practice martial arts.

In everyone's eyes, she was useless trash, hanging on to the Crown Prince's coat tails. Yi Ruo taking advantage of Yi Meng's poor Qi and physique, made her do the housework but told everyone that Yi Meng was the one who suggested it.

Yi Meng could only accept this task. Years and years had accumulated a lot of hate in her and her killing intent only increased.

When the doors opened, a middle aged man was seen sitting on the throne in fine clothes.

Yi Meng immediately kneeled down while cupping her hands. "Yi Meng, the heir of Yi Clan greets His Majesty."

Heir of Yi Clan. Hah! That was just a fake term. No one could directly take this title from Yi Meng but that didn't mean she had the power to inherit this title. The branch family took care of that and as a result, Yi Meng of the main family had a position equal to that of a maid.

The man on the throne waved his hands gesturing for her to stand up. "Meng girl, I have called you here to discuss an important thing. You should know that I promised your father that I would make you my son's imperial concubine. So, both of you will get married tomorrow. If you have anything to say, say it now."

Yi Meng was shocked but could only remain silent. After all, how could she refuse the only way for her to rise to power.

The Emperor examined her with strange eyes. Yi Meng was certainly a beautiful young lady. He could only sigh in regret that she didn't have Qi in her. Such a pity, her parents died when she was ten and she became an orphan. Her father had been a great friend and loyal follower of the Emperor. To return his friend's favour, the Emperor decided to make her his son's wife. But three years later, it was found that Yi Meng was a cripple. But fortunately, the Emperor was a man of his words and wanted to marry Yi Meng to his son. He felt that she was sensible and could maybe satisy his son's desire. Probably then, he wouldn't sleep around like a dog in heat.

Yi Meng bowed her head down. "This lady gives her gratitude to His Majesty. I'll be ready by tomorrow."

Neither the Emperor or Yi Meng noticed that a certain young lady was passing by the court room at that time. The young lady had stopped on hearing the Emperor's words and her fists clenched in anger.

A blazing fire of jealousy burned in her heart. "Just you wait Yi Meng. You've been flying too much these days. Looks like I have to cut off your wings or maybe, I'll just..cut your neck off." The young lady laughed evilly. "If I can't have him, then you can't either. I'll make sure of that."

With a flutter of her hair, she left.

Back in the court room, Yi Meng felt a chill and her gaze involuntarily shifted.

With a deep bow, she left the court room and went to her room to rest. Her room was one of the worst in the palace. Yi Ruo had initially got this room and she forced Yi Meng to live here whereas she lived in Yi Meng's spacious room.

As always, she told everyone that it was Yi Meng's wish and went on praising Yi Meng in front of everyone, making everyone think that Yi Meng had done it for attention. Yi Ruo smirked secretly and went on acting. She thought that the Crown Prince would say something but he just looked indifferently at her.

Soon, it was evening and the sun was setting. Yi Meng who was reading a book, closed it and changed her clothes, so that she could sneak off to train.

When it grew dark enough, she went out. Little did she know, that a certain young lady, who was aware of Yi Meng's frequent escapades was following her.

Yi Meng quickly leapt and reached her training place which was near a huge plum blossom tree. Just as she bent over to stretch, a hand sneaked from behind and clamped her mouth shut.

Startled, Yi Meng immediately let out a muffled cry and tried to remove the hand, but her own hands were tied from behind and she was thrown towards the ground. She struggled but it was of no use. Soon, her legs were hit by a stick and Yi Meng gasped in pain. Her stomach received a hard kick made with Qi and her back was hit by a stone. Yi Meng twisted, anxious to see who her attacker was, only to see a group of masked men.

The beating continued, till Yi Meng's whole body ached. That was when a familiar voice was heard "Good. Very good. I'll reward you for this later."

Yi Meng's eyes widened as she saw Yi Ruo smirking while standing in front of her. Yi Ruo walked slowly towards her and with her hand, clasped Yi Meng's chin. "So, how does it feel? Tell me. Oh! That's right, your mouth is bound up. How can you speak or even scream. Such a pity."She clicked her tongue.

Her eyes turned dark as she said" It's all your fault. Who told you to get engaged to my beloved!? Who told you to be more pretty than me!? Who told you to be a trash!? It's all your fault. And so, you'll pay for your sins now." With each sentence, Yi Ruo kicked Yi Meng using Qi making Yi Meng wince in pain. With a malicious gleam in her eyes, Yi Ruo took out a dagger and carved a line on Yi Meng's face. Yi Meng's beautiful face, now had a scar from the right side of her forehead to her right cheek. Blood seeped out from the wound, making the cloth on her mouth red.

After glaring at her, Yi Ruo turned to the masked men. " You can do whatever you want with her. Just make sure to dispose her off properly."

The masked men's eyes gleamed devilishly and they nodded earnestly. The girl in front of them, no doubt had a great body.

Yi Meng on the other hand was horrified. This Yi Ruo, she really planned to kill her. And these men, planned to take her innocence before finishing her off. Yi Meng's eyes burnt in rage as she looked at Yi Ruo.

The latter shivered as she saw her gaze and immediately ordered the men to blindfolf her.

Yi Meng struggled but all in vain. Darkness surrounded her as she wasn't able to speak or see. She could only hear the pants of the men in front of her, as they anticipated how to take her.

Yi Meng was scared. So scared, that she trembled. Hands touched her body, making her feel disgusted. A hand slapped her behind. A moment later, the hand again slapped her behind. This continued for a while, till the man wasn't satisfied and tore off her clothes. More hands, snaked towards her and touched her breasts.

They pinched, licked and did everything possible to her. The hand that had slapped her behind, continued to slap her behind, now satisfied with the lack of clothes.

Yi Meng was scared out of wits. She was so disgusted that she almost threw up. She bit her lips so hard that they bled. She wanted them to stop, she wanted to cut off those hands.

But nothing happened. The hands continued to roam through her body. Yi Meng shivered as the cold wind touched her naked body. Tears formed in Yi Meng's eyes. As they rolled down, Yi Meng was drowning in despair.

But all was over for Yi Meng when she heard a man opening his pants. She froze in fear. This was a woman's worst nightmare. Not being able to see or scream. She could only hear the pants and groans of the men who touched her body. This humiliation was something that no woman ever wanted to go through.

Yi Meng's heart stopped for a second. Her body trembled so badly that she could feel the cold bark of the tree against her skin, digging into her arm.

That was when Yi Meng noticed the tree in front of her. Just when she could feel the man's reproductive organ reach her lower entrance, Yi Meng, who couldn't bear it anymore, smashed her head against the tree's hard trunk.

The pain made her head ache so bad that she became unconscious. She could feel all her energy draining out. She smiled bitterly for a last time regretting that she hadn't been able to get revenge. "Father, mother I'll finally be with you. It won't be much longer." She thought. A second later, her senses became numb and she lost her train of thoughts. Blood flowed down her head like a river. The men touching her froze and sighed in disappointment as they felt the body of the girl grow cold. Blood from her head had flowed to all parts of her body and the men retreated, unable to ravish someone covered with blood.

Yi Ruo who had been watching this, frowned. She felt that Yi Meng had gotten off to easily. She hadn't got to see the fun part yet.

One of the masked man checked her pulse, only to find it fading. He informed the others and with a swift motion, he plunged a knife in her stomach, making Yi Meng take her last breath. They weren't satisfied but either way, she was going to die. So they just made her die quicker.

Yi Ruo frowned but said "Leave her here. If her corpse isn't found, people will be more suspicious. It would be better if they find her corpse here and we'll just make it seem as if some bandits had done this to her.

With a swish of her hair she left the place and the men followed. Only one man remained. He hadn't taken part in the assault of Yi Meng but he hadn't stopped it either. But he still felt bad for the girl and decided to atleast cover up her naked body. He removed the big coat like cloth he was wearing and made the cold body wear it.

The naked body was now covered with a warm and big coat. The man felt a bit at peace and followed his companions.

The beautiful Yi Meng now laid dead in this eerie place.

Co-incidence or not, it wasn't sure. But both Yi Lan and Yi Meng died at the same time. Both were beautiful girls, with a strong yearning for revenge in their hearts. Yet, both died before they got the chance to.
