Troublesome Women

Normally, when I wake up, my morning routine consists of just washing my face and that’s it.

However, today was a little different. I decided to use the hair dryer to do my hair just to look a bit more sharp.

Then, after I finished drying my hair, I had a proper breakfast, brushed my teeth, and put on my uniform.

I wrapped my tie around my neck, straightened it up and stared into the mirror.

“…Yup. That’s good.”

Then I headed off to school.

Today I felt a little more confident.

Since becoming friends with Tojo-chan, I’ve been actually listening to her venomous tongue, or rather her advice, with open arms.

As a result, I think I’ve become a stronger man because of it.

Now, Tojo-chan will no longer be nagging me…

“…Uh?”

I glanced towards Tojo-chan  and saw her gazing at me… However, there was something off about the way she was eyeing me.

She is not using her venomous tongue like she usually does, or at least she isn’t right now, but the way she is staring at me is like she’s very unhappy about something?

Then Tojo-chan quickly turned her gaze toward her desk and ran her pen across some notepaper and quickly handed it to me.

[Why are you doing it right?]

When I looked up at her face again, Tojo-chan’s cheeks were puffed out.

She really is cute, but…

Isn’t saying that a little too unreasonable?

“Hey, hey, Sakurako-chan. Can you help me? I don’t understand this problem.”

A girl in the class walked up to Tojo-chan.

“Yeah, sure. Which one are you having trouble with?”

“It’s this one:…”

“Oh, this one. I’m pretty sure if you do this, then you can use this formula.”

“Wow, that makes it seem way more simple! That’s Sakurako-chan for you.”

“You’re welcome.”

As usual, she had a perfect smile with her classmates.

It was now lunch break.

Today I was waiting for her with a bit of a heavy heart.

I turned my head as the sound of footsteps grew nearer..

“…Hey, Tojo-chan.”

I greeted her, but Tojo-chan had a sullen look on her face.

She sat down next to me with clenched fists.

“Why are you acting more proper than usual today?”

“Well, I’ve been more conscious about myself since you told me.”

Tojo-chan puffed out her cheeks.

“If I did, I wouldn’t have any reason to exist, would I?”

Tojo-chan puffed out her cheeks even more.

“No, that’s not true. I’m still excited at the thought of being able to eat Tojo-chan’s delicious homemade lunches like this.”

“Really?”

“Yes, really.”

Tojo-chan stared at me with her beautiful black eyes as if she was looking for something.

Beautiful women are soothing to look at, but in this case, they’re a little scary.

“…I will forgive you.”

Tojo-chan smiled a little.

“I’m afraid you’re a bit of a yandere.”

“‘You’d better not say that even if you think it, okay?!”

I was horrified when she smiled and pointed the tips of her chopsticks towards me.

“Do you really think that I’m being such a pain in the ass?”

Yes, frankly, quite a bit.

But I won’t say it outloud.

I’m sure I’ll get killed if I do.

“Mmm-hmm.”

I’m scared of that smile.

“Nah… Come on, let’s eat lunch, shall we?”

“Oh, yeah.”

Once again today, the schoolyard was blooming with beautiful cherry blossoms.

“Hey, Tojo-chan.”

“Hmm, what is it?”

“What’s your relationship with me?”

“Well, we did promise each other a future together.”

“You’re the one who promised that.”

“What…?”

“No…, well you see, it’s a relationship in the here and now, right?”

“What’s that…?”

“What’s that…? You know, boyfriend-girlfriend relationships…”

“Oh, yeah. I was so busy thinking about being your wife that I never thought about being your girlfriend.”

“Is that so?”

“But you’re right. It’s important to take everything in stages.”

Tojo-chan put down her chopsticks and cleared her throat.

“Kasuga-kun, make me your girlfriend.”

“You’re talking down to me.”

“What, you have a problem with that?”

“No, I don’t… It’s just that Tojo-chan is too good for me.”

“I’m too good for Kasuga-kun… Kasuga-kun baka!”

Suddenly, Tojo-chan stabbed my thigh with her chopsticks.

“Ow! Stop it!”

“Oh, I’m sorry, I’m sorry. I was just so happy to get a compliment from someone I like that I just did it.”

“Oh, really…?”

She’s not a natural-born yandere, is she?
