When I'm With You

Asher POV:

It was Monday. I hate Monday's. Reason is... It's the start of a boring week where you have to get up early, feeling all tired. I walk to the kitchen and sit at a table that aunt Liz was sitting at.

"... Good morning..." aunt Liz greeted me with a monochrome voice. She wasn't herself again.

I look over to the side of the table and see a box of pop tarts. "Huh? Were you planning on eating these...?" I grabbed the box and showed her. She just gave it a blank stare, then she suddenly knew what it was for.

"Those... Were for Alex when he would've came home after knowing he wouldn't be dead..." aunt Liz covered her face with her hands and started to cry.

I wanted to tell her that Alex had been born over and over again. Just as a different person... But she was in a bad mood, so I didn't want her to get confused. She probably wouldn't even have believed me anyways. I go back to my room to get my uniform on and took a slice of toasted bread my aunt made, after that I left.

(at school) 8:01AM

I always loved walking to school. It's great exercise. As I was walking, I saw Kate in the same spot we always waited at. "Hey Kate... It's been a while since I've been here."

Kate looked up from her phone and noticed me. "Asher! You finally came to school." Kate reminded me how much school I missed. Which was alright.

I hope she didn't try checking on me... Now that I don't live with my dad anymore. "Umm, can I have those copied keys I gave you to me house. I don't live with my dad anymore." I held out my hands waiting for Kate to give me the keys.

"What do you mean?" Kate asked.

This was extremely weird. I thought she was playing around and not wanting to give the keys to me. She's had them for 4 years now and she all of a sudden forgets about them? "What do I mean? What do YOU mean??? You've had those keys for a while now."

Kate paused for a bit. Then her head started hurting. "Ouch! My head hurts!" Kate started rubbing her forehead.

"You wanna sit down?" I asked, but she said that she didn't need to. As we waited for the bell to ring I was wondering... Where's Hans?? I looked around to try and spot him and I couldn't find him anywhere, but I saw a familiar face. It was Piers.

"Heyyy!! Asher! What coincidence that I see you here." Piers said smiling at me.

I didn't know why he was so friendly. He was just my doctor, which was still kinda weird for me. "Oh hey... I've been absent a lot for....... Reasons." I really didn't want Piers in my business.

"Oh, well that's alright... You're friends with Hans right?" it was kinda funny that he asked that question because I was just thinking about what he asked me at the hospital. If I had feelings for Hans."

"Yeah, why?" I replied with simple answer and question back.

"I forgot to tell you, but I really like-"

A girl randomly jumped on Piers' back and yelled "Hey boo!!!!!!!"
