As I wait for the teleportation to start already, there is an odd pause. The runes didn’t activate despite emitting the light, was something wrong with it?

After seeing the pop-up message I start to sweat nervously. I had a very bad feeling about this. The shine gets brighter as the surroundings become indistinct. The effects of teleportation hit me again. By the time it has ended, I get hit with another wave of nausea.

I try to force open my eyes quickly, afraid that I might’ve ended in some perilous situation. As I scan my surroundings I give a sigh of relief. It seemed that I had ended up in some alleyway. Thankfully no girl was around me.

Looking past the alleyway I notice the opening leading towards the street. I crept away from public roads as far as possible. Without hesitation, I take someone’s clothes hanging on the clothesline to make a makeshift cloak.

Using my new attire, I sink away into the darkness. I had to find information regarding my surroundings as fast as I can. It was my first priority as I was still unaware of what dangers I might encounter later.

“Onii-chan~”

It had been 6 months, 2 weeks, 1 day, 4 hours and 35 minutes since Alex had abandoned me. I had sunk into despair immediately after my brother had left me. Each day was like living in suffering. Even though I knew that Alex couldn’t visit me due to his circumstances, it was still very hard to deal with this old familiar feeling of loneliness.

It reminded me of the times when I was an orphan with no one to rely upon. The greyscale world just whizzing past my eyes as if I was just a spectator in this world. It was an unbearable feeling. Alex was the only ray of hope for me, my everything and also my husband.

Just to cope with this wretched feeling, I had ended up indulging myself in Alex’s belongings. His clothes, underwear, pen, cup, hair, saliva and many other items. I had managed to hoard them and use it to maintain my composure. They had been licked and sniffed numerous times by me but Alex’s taste and scent had already faded away from them.

Despite so, the whores and bitches from Hales tried to take ownership of my valued possessions. They had raided our house in an attempt to loot and plunder what was left of Alex. Thankfully I had managed to ward them off due to the training I did with my brother.

Just thinking about the girls’ attack made me scared, what if Alex had been captured and tortured by those sluts? What if Alex being chased right now as I speak? What if he had lost his first time. Such thoughts just filled my mind with further anxiety and despair. My brother needed his dear sister to protect them from those whores.

I needed to preserve his purity and then take his first time. Sadly, I didn’t even know where Alex was. I had searched tirelessly every day in the hopes of meeting him but he was nowhere to be found. As if he had, simply vanished. There was a limit on how much I could do by myself.

I took another sniff of Alex’s underwear to clear my thoughts.

What I needed to do was to get some manpower. As things are going right now it would be very unlikely for me to find Alex. Though it’s annoying I would have to involve other women into it, but I am willing to share Alex a bit if it means I get to meet him again.

While I was thinking so I was reminded of my past as a pope candidate. It was a role I wasn’t very interested in earlier but now it was possible to use it to my advantage. Considering my current level of skill, it should be an easy feat for me to accomplish.

Affirming my plans, I had decided to become the pope. Using my position I should be able to find Alex faster. Poor brother must be so alone and scared right now. Don’t worry as I will come to your rescue and get officially married to each other.

Because your dear sister really really really loves you!

~Alex PoV~

I had been sitting inside a bar which also functioned as a sub-branch of an adventurer’s guild. The area was rowdy with bursts of resounding laughter coming out irregularly. The air was filled with a feeling of fervour and joy. Adventurer’s boasting about their escapades and ventures. It was a very lively atmosphere.

It had been around 2 years since I separated with Seris. The city I had ended up within was the city of Pompar, one of the largest leading forefronts of humanity. During all this time I had increased my stealth and illusion skills. Currently, I had hidden almost all parts of my body except for the eyes.

My voice tone had been altered using a voice changing item, to that of a husky sounding woman. My garb was just dark leather armour with a thick cloak. This attire wasn’t very uncommon as most thief type classes tended to wear similar clothing.

Ever since I had come here I had mostly avoided talking or meeting any women. Only after I had changed my voice did I barely start speaking with people. I was already accustomed to the feeling of loneliness after having separated from Seris for so long.

I take a sip of out of my drink, it was just fruit juice. Apparently beer wasn’t something bars were known for, if one wanted to have some alcohol they would have to go to specific stores for them. It completely destroyed the immersion of the rough n' tough adventurers in here, not that it worked in the first with almost everyone being really beautiful girls.

As of now, I had visited the bar just to find out about the recent happenings. Though there were newspapers, it wasn’t particularly related to adventuring most of the time. Hence, it was pretty common to hit the bars to do some info searching.

I eavesdrop the noisy surroundings in an attempt to scrutinize any useful information. It was mostly chatter about adventuring with some comments being about boys and such. But suddenly I heard some news which caught my attention.

“What? The hero candidate is stuck in some dungeon?”

Hearing that news I was really surprised. The hero candidate was a role given solely to men. Only they can be blessed by the Parlene church to get a really strong power-up. Like one would expect they had the responsibility of defeating the Demon Lord.

I had pinned my hopes on the hero to alleviate me of the pressure of the girls. Surely it was the Demon King’s fault as to why I was being chased by so many women. If there were more boys I wouldn’t get that much attention… maybe? I can’t give up my dream of living a stable life.

I try to pry out further information. Turns out he was stuck in some dungeon which was very dangerous, there was a high possibility of the hero candidate dying there also. Hearing that my emotions became unstable. The hero? Dying? No that can’t be.

I couldn’t help but panic upon finding out this information. The hero was the last strand of hope for me and I surely didn’t want to live the life of a hermit. The news of him being stuck seemed to be secret info which had recently leaked out.

It was a quest offer which was exclusively provided to high ranked adventurers but no one was willing to accept it. I stood up immediately and headed to the damn dungeon. You can’t die on me hero!
