As Matthew Xi entered the lobby of the building, employees who were in and around the lobby immediately bowed their heads. 

Their eyes discreetly glanced at his towering and neat figure, puzzlement dancing across their eyes as this was quite an unusual entrance. Why? Their big boss rarely showed himself as he would directly use his private elevator from the parking space straight to his office. 

This was the second time they saw him in this same lobby. Still, female employees could not help but be in awe as Matthew Xi was truly a god of visuals. 

On the other hand, male employees felt intimidated as Matthew Xi walked, fixing his cufflinks. Suddenly, Matthew Xi stopped in his tracks as he looked around. 

As soon as he did, some employees who had their heads raised suddenly bowed their heads. "You look sick, take a day off." Moving his gaze to the nearest male employee bowing his head, Matthew Xi advised. 

However, as soon as Matthew Xi's attention turned to the man, he flinched as his shoulders trembled. "Y — yes, Mr. Xi." Stuttering, the male employee answered. 

His response, obviously, caused Matthew Xi's brows to crease a little. His own people act differently unlike those carefree people in Z Image. Perhaps, he just got used to the light atmosphere in Zoey's company that Matthew Xi found the atmosphere in this building a little off. 

In retrospect, Matthew Xi couldn't remember doing any injustice to any of his people. They were judged by their performance and get fired from their post if they committed any serious violation. No matter how long the employees in the XI Corporation were working for, there was no exception. 

Aside from that, Matthew Xi believed he has been very lenient. Yet, why did these people seem to be too afraid of him? 

Little did he know, the news about Paul Qian getting fired and the memos a few employees received yesterday spread like a wild fire inside the company. Therefore, everyone assumed Matthew Xi was in a very foul mood and showed himself today just to do a mass execution at every little mistake everyone would do in front of him. 

"Oh? Isn't this our young master?" Just then, Vivian Xi came from behind him with butler Yi and Ruby Xi standing behind her. 

Slowly, Matthew Xi turned his head around, meeting Vivian Xi's pair of natural upturned smiling eyes. "My son, are you trying to nitpick again?" She added, purposely slandering Matthew Xi to make herself the heroine to save the day. 

Well, that was true though. She was akin to a hero yesterday for saving several lives and their future. 

"Good morning, brother Matt." Behind Vivian Xi, Ruby Xi reluctantly greeted him as she slightly bowed her head and averted her eyes. 

"Good morning," Greeting back, the side of his lips tilted into a meek smile which caused a few gasps from the bystanders. 

Not just them, but also Ruby Xi took a step back as she could not remember the last time she saw him smile. After all, Matthew Xi's stoic face seemed to be cursed as he only had a few expressions: displeased, mad, and his classic poker face. 

The only good thing about it was Matthew Xi's expressions were all real. He never faked his smile even while doing business with important business partners. 

Matthew Xi took several steps towards Vivian Xi, his smile grew wider as he wrapped his arms around her. "Thank you, Mom." He whispered, startling Vivian Xi's elegant demeanor. 

Momentarily, everyone took a step back and rubbed their eyes just to see Matthew Xi was being... clingy! Although others didn't hear his words aside from the people nearby, his actions were utterly startling that they could not help if the world was ending. 

Matthew Xi slowly let Vivian Xi go before he shifted his attention to Ruby Xi. "I apologize for putting you through the troubles yesterday." Without further ado, Matthew Xi apologized in front of many people which caused another wave of suffocating silence. 

Ruby Xi even dropped her jaw as she didn't expect that! Although her intention for coming in XI Corporation was to confront Matthew Xi, she didn't expect an apology!

"I — Uh..."

"I understand if you won't forgive me for meddling with your business. I won't do it again." Matthew Xi purposely raised his voice for others to hear. 

He figured that Ruby Xi's position in RB Entertainment waned because of him. Therefore, doing this in public, would reach the ears of those in the RB Entertainment through word of mouth. 

Just then, Matthew Xi felt his phone vibrate which made him gesture to excuse himself and answered Zoey's call. Meanwhile, as he did so, Vivian Xi and Ruby Xi's eyes were both glued to his figure. 

"Aunty, did something happen to brother Matt?" Ruby Xi inquired as she couldn't believe the apology she received personally from him. 

"Love... this is the power of love." On the verge of crying, moved by the complete change of her son, Vivian Xi instantly turned to Butler Yi. 

"Butler Yi, please arrange a meeting with the best wedding coordinator in the country. Also, prepare our dowry. This wedding should happen as soon as possible." Without Matthew Xi's knowledge, Vivian Xi ordered Butler Yi which made Ruby Xi's brows twitch. 

Marriage? As soon as possible? Ruby Xi admitted that she didn't believe Vivian Xi last night when she mentioned Matthew Xi was pursuing a lady. However, with the concrete evidence right in front of her, she just couldn't help but be rendered speechless. 

Glancing at Matthew Xi, Ruby Xi felt her vocabulary get wiped out as soon as she saw how blinding his smile was. He even gestured to others to follow him as they paused what they were doing while bowing their heads. 

"What do you want for lunch? I'll send lunch for you and the others since they deserved it." Matthew Xi uttered on the other end of the line about rewarding her people as they actually listened to him and barely made any mistakes. 

However, he overlooked the expression around the people he passed by due to his lack of sensitivity. Some even coughed as he sounded too loving and caring that they felt they would have diabetes!

On the other hand, Vivian Xi was akin to a fan girl as she excitedly linked her arms around his as she tried to blatantly eavesdropped with their conversation. Meanwhile, Ruby Xi just felt awkward upon hearing his remarks. 

"Mhmm, I love you too." As soon as he responded to Zoey's sweet remarks, everyone around him had a different take of the shocking words coming from the tyrant king's mouth!

Everyone: "!!!!"

Ruby Xi: *stops in her tracks*

Vivian Xi: *felt like she was on cloud nine*
