Meanwhile, Zoey was unaware of what Matthew Xi was scheming. She puffed, as she checked her phone to see if he messaged her again. However, there was none, hence she tossed her phone to the side out of frustration. 

"He's really annoying sometimes." She grumbled, annoyed that he sounded as usual. Zoey did miss him somehow, so it frustrates her that she was the only one who felt like that. 

Little did she know, the source of her annoyance was just outside the building earlier. 

"So, what did you say when he said he wants you back?" From the couch, Cora Ma propped her chin by her knuckles as she stared at Zoey. 

She's been there for almost half an hour, but Zoey kept on interrupting the story by unnecessary commercials. Despite that, Cora Ma was extra patient as she thought Zoey was purposely not going through the details. 

"I said, okay." Sounding nonchalant, Zoey cast her best friend a side eye. 

"What?!? No way...!"

"Jokes." Zoey chuckled, seeing the mortified countenance of Cora Ma. She saw her heave a sigh of relief before Cora Ma glared at her. 

"Z, don't scare me like that!" Cora Ma scolded. She almost felt her heart drop for a second as she could not believe how crazy her best friend was. 

"He's getting engaged, why would I want to be the third party again?" Zoey shrugged her shoulders, plopping down on the couch across her best friend. 

Cora Ma at least knew that part of Zoey's relationship with Ezekiel Tang. However, there were still parts that Zoey didn't tell her; for example, Zoey's one night stand with Matthew Xi. 

Zoey felt that it was something she should keep for herself. Although she knew her best friend wouldn't judge her, Zoey still kept it a secret. 

Still, it still amused Zoey how Cora Ma always noticed that Zoey talked as if she truly knew Matthew Xi. 

"That scum... I hate him to the bones." Grinding her teeth, Cora Ma spat as a hateful glint flashed across her pair of round eyes. If only she could slap Ezekiel Tang, she would have done it many times until he was barely recognizable. 

"Wait— he's getting engaged? How did you know? Are you stalking him, Z?!" As Cora Ma pondered of methods to torture the man, she shifted her gaze back to Zoey before narrowing her eyes suspiciously. 

"Aya! Don't overthink. I'm so over him." Zoey rolled her eyes, cringing at the fact that her best friend thought she still has lingering feelings for Ezekiel Tang. 

Zoey already felt dumb for falling for such sort of a guy. After all, he's a loser without his parent's wealth. A guy that could not make his own decision was not worthy of her. 

Moreover, he wasn't as good-looking as Zoey thought he was. Maybe, that's how it was when a relationship ended. The other party's appearance changed in their eyes. 

"Yeah, right. You also said that before.��� Cora Ma sarcastically remarked. She couldn't be blamed though. Zoey had always said she was over him in the past, but would turn soft if Zoey encountered Ezekiel Tang. 

"Believe me or not, Browny is better. He had better looks, better personality, and the best kisser." Boasting the reason Zoey would never return to a loser, she accidentally slipped some important stuff she was keeping for herself. 

"Best kisser... what?! You guys already kissed?!?" Cora Ma's eyes widened, shocked at the information intruding her data. Staring at Zoey dumbfounded, her mind momentarily went blank. 

"Yes! In my dreams, he's pretty naughty and energetic." Thanks for doing business for a long time, Zoey kept a sly face as she lied right in front of her best friend. 

She didn't care if Cora Ma thought she's delusional. Actually, Zoey didn't have a problem if she revealed this long secret to her best friend. 

However, Zoey wanted to tell Matthew Xi first when the time comes. Hence, she felt sorry for Cora Ma for keeping this plot material a secret for now. 

"Zoey..." Peering at Zoey from head to toe, Cora Ma clicked her tongue. "You need to get laid. Is this the reason why you're being a bit touchy?" Out of genuine concern, Cora Ma advised jokingly. 

In retrospect, although Zoey was quite the 'playgirl', there was this wide distance a man could come near her. Also, Zoey might act coquettish but she was never clingy. Making Cora Ma think if Zoey was a virgin or not. 

They say she was picky, but Cora Ma thinks otherwise. For her, Zoey was not picky. It was just that Zoey was never satisfied with them in the first place. Hence, it was still a surprise that Zoey suddenly turned clingy after meeting Browny. 

Was it because of his dazzling looks? Well, compared to everyone Cora Ma met, Matthew Xi's vibe was different. 

"I guess you're right!" Contemplating about something, Zoey smiled and answered. "Do you think our first date tomorrow will escalate to that?" Excited about the idea, Zoey perked up to her best friend. 

"Err..." Surprised that Zoey genuinely took the insincere advice she gave, Cora Ma scanned her front. "Honestly, I don't think so." Cora Ma added after a second of contemplation. 

Sure, Zoey was sexy and beautiful. However, based on her observation about Matthew Xi, he seemed he wasn't that kind of person. Matthew Xi might have a cold personality, but he seemed like a chivalrous person. 

"Hmm..." Humming a tune, Zoey jolted from her seat and picked up her phone. Seeing Zoey go somewhere, Cora Ma raised her brow. 

"Where are you going?"

"Bathroom. I'm sending him nudes." Sounding proud at the ridiculous idea, Zoey showed her a thumbs up before sneaking back to her room. 

"Nu — nudes?!? Hey!" As soon as Cora Ma heard her last remarks, red alarms rang inside her head as she glided to Zoey. Her best friend is truly crazy! 

How could she have an idea of sending nudes to a man she only knew for a month? No, how could she even think of sending such sensitive and private photos to anyone? 

"Your brother will kill me! This girl, really!" Cora Ma tried to snatch the phone from Zoey aggressively. However, Zoey was much taller than her and her limbs were much longer. Therefore, Zoey just held her phone up while the poor Cora Ma tiptoed and jumped to reach it. 

"Haha! Send him nudes too!" Zoey's lips stretched from ear to ear, laughing at Cora Ma's struggles.
