Wild Young Princess: Mister, let's sleep?
Chapter 54 - Baby, Come Here.
"Brother…" Dion called out under his breath, in disbelief at the conclusion in his head. He could be wrong, right? That his brother didn't end up getting friend-zoned.
Lewis only needed to glance at Dion to read his thoughts. "We'll talk later. Let's go."
"Ah? Where are we heading, my friend?" Devon perked up, gazing up at him, who stood up after grabbing his keys.
"My friend," Dion murmured in horror. Hearing it sent a sense of dread down his spine. 'Just what was going on?' He was so sure that a woman had finally piqued his brother's interest. Was he wrong?
No. Dion was certain Lewis had taken an interest in Devon, as he didn't get mad when he addressed her as 'sister-in-law'. So, what could be the problem?
Lewis was a man many women desired. Even if they take away wealth and success on his back, just Lewis' face certainly didn't lack appeal.
"We'll shop some clothes for you," Lewis said, extending his hands to her. "Let's go."
Devon frowned, as she certainly had clothes, but unlike Ghost Lin, she also liked to dress up. "Alright," she murmured, clasping his hand as they walked while holding hands.
"Oh, what?" Dion gasped at seeing the two holding hands. "Wa — wait for me!" he hastily sprung up on his feet, hastening his pace to follow them.
"What is going on here?" he mumbled in dismay, as it seemed his brother was involved in a more complicated relationship.

Dion waited for the perfect chance to investigate so he could satiate his curiosity. That was why when Devon had gone through with the lady clerk in a boutique to look for clothes, Dion sat closer to Lewis in the waiting area.
"Brother," Dion wrung his fingers in anxiousness as he leaned in. "You know, I didn't want to be nosy…"
"Is what you're doing now not considered as nosy?" Lewis arched a brow as he shifted his eyes on him.
Dion let out a faint chuckle. "Brother," I'm sorry, were what he wanted to say. But to his surprised, Lewis suddenly added, "But I need you to be nosy right now."
For a moment, Dion couldn't believe his ear, blinking his eyes as if it would help him clear up his hearing. What did Lewis say? Did he need Dion to pry into his business?
"As you've heard, she calls and thinks of me as her friend," Lewis grumbled as his eyes glinted menacingly, but it immediately flickered out when his gaze landed on her figure.
"But you held hands?" Dion inquired in dismay, tilting his head as he finally figured out what his older brother needed; a love guru! Dion was an expert in that area; he honed his skills through years of experience. His brother must've recognized these skills and came to him.
'We held hands and sleep together. We even cuddled last night.' Lewis answered internally, sighing faintly at the thought.
"We held hands, but she doesn't have any malicious thoughts about it," He explained, leaving other unnecessary details out. "And sees me as a friend — little brother, to make it worse."
Dion stared at Lewis, unblinking. He could tell Lewis had taken a liking to Devon, but she only saw him as a friend, a little brother?! What kind of cursed situation was this?
"I need to make her see me as a man."
Dion snapped when he heard Lewis' last remark. "Brother, are you sure that's the case?" he asked in disbelief, as this was hard to believe. It was ridiculous, if he may add.
"Hundred percent," Lewis affirmed with a nod. "I even proposed to her last night, and she outright rejected it."
"Wait, brother." Dion shook his head as to clear his jumbled thoughts. "You proposed, and she rejected you? And yet, you two held hands just moments ago?"
Did that make sense? After a marriage proposal, they held hands instead of feeling awkward about it?
"Brother, how did you propose?" Dion asked after sizing up Lewis and reviewing his brother's character.
Lewis pondered about it, rubbing his chin as he recalled, "She told me the woman who will marry me will be lucky, so I asked her if she wants to get lucky." He nodded as he remembered it perfectly, even the disappointment he felt when she indirectly rejected his indirect marriage proposal.
Dion's mouth fell, mind-blown at what he heard. That was, indeed, obvious if someone in the sound mind could read the situation. But this situation was still tricky for him. He was not there to witness it, after all.
"Brother, maybe you sound passive that's why she didn't think you're serious?" Dion inquired, afraid of being ahead of himself without assessing the situation. There should be a reason for Devon to reject; the example he just said was one of them.
Surely, Dion was an expert on this for not jumping to conclusions immediately.
"You need to make it obvious! You can't just act coldly to her and expect her to accept you if you ask her hand for marriage!" Dion affirmed, indirectly blaming Lewis' character, as he had been like that to many ladies.
If only Dion had seen how Lewis treated Devon, he would've invited an exorcist, believing Lewis was possessed! There's no way Devon was at fault, Dion convinced himself as women for him were tricky, while inexperienced men were all bunch of simpleton.
"Is that so?" Lewis furrowed his brows, as he thought he wasn't doing his best.
"Yes!" Dion nodded as he snapped a finger. "You need to be proactive!"
"Proactive, huh?" Lewis raised his gaze to Devon and called her loudly, "Baby, come here for a second!"
Dion was shocked into silence as he watched Devon stomped her feet angrily at them. She huffed. "My friend, what is it that you need? And for what reason I am degraded to a child?"
Lewis raised his brows as he shifted his eyes towards the mortified Dion.
"Proactive? Do you now see the problem here?" he asked, before smacking his lips as he faced Devon.
"It's resolved now, my lady.. My apologies."
Lewis only needed to glance at Dion to read his thoughts. "We'll talk later. Let's go."
