Will there be a happy ending

As the group drove towards Fort Serapung, an abandoned British army base built back in 1879 to fortify the straits of Country C, Hidayat, Daniel and Anston were on the phone with Leoneil who was leading his team in the Communication Room who were monitoring the surveillance satellite imagery of the island.

The team had noticed several guards surveilling the hill through the thermal imagery and was discussing the best way to infiltrate the fort. According to the government's record, the fort was abandoned and cordoned back in the 70s. Hence, there should not be any human hovering around the hill.

The group parked their vehicle at the foot of the hill which had a small path that leads to the entrance of the fort. Hidayat and Anston then took the bulletproof vest and customised black full-face bulletproof helmet to protect themselves. The helmet also has night-vision feasibility for them to move at ease in the dark, 2-way communicators to interact between the team and also a gas-filter for any airborne biological attack protection.

Once Daniel had gone through the briefs for the last time, the group split up into 5 groups to move forward. Both Anston and Hidayat led a group with Anston leading the biggest group to infiltrate the fort from the main entrance.

Hidayat brought his team to the west of the fort as fast as they could. Hidayat's team was to eliminate or capture the opposing's surveillance team in the west region as those other 3 teams in the other regions. Each lead was also wearing a 2-way communicator that was connected to the communication room back in the base.

It did not take long before Hidayat's team to restrained all patrols in the west region. Within half an hour, all 4 support teams had managed to restrain and brought all Lee family's guards to their assembly location. Even Anston's team have successfully infiltrated and subdued all the men in the fort before rescuing Brandon.

Regrettably, the man's condition was really bad. Both of his legs and arms were broken in at least 2 places and his face was swollen and unrecognisable. His complexion ware pale and lips chapped. It seems, the short 4 nights he was captured, he was brutally tortured by the Lee family.

Anger and hatred could be seen on both Anston and Hidayat's face. It seems the Lee family was declaring war on the Loh family. This means they can no longer keep everything in the dark any longer.

Hidayat had his men put Brandon into his car and drove towards the Military Hospital in the capital. As the Loh family have heavily invested in the Military and the incident was something they do not want the public to know, sending Brandon to the military hospital was a wiser decision. Furthermore, both Anston's mom and their aunt are military doctors. Hence, keeping everything under the radar would be easier.

Anston was following them closely behind while Daniel and the rest of the team had stayed for the military team to arrive and comprehend the restrained men.

On the way to the hospital, Anston had already called his mom to advise her about their arrival. By the time Hidayat and Anston's cars arrived, a team of doctors and nurse are already waiting with a patient transport trolley at the entrance.

The medical team swiftly transferred Brandon from Hidayat's car to the trolley and pushed him to the operating theatre. They have already been briefed on Brandon's condition by Anston and the lead surgeon was already on standby.

Despite being easy-going and working as a CFO in ARK Corporation; and also Kamari's assistant in the underground network, Anston' medical skills are as good as a tenured physician. Not only was he skilled in martial arts and an expert shooter, but he was also proficient in medicine. An all-rounder. He had done a preliminary examination on Brandon when they rescued the man in the fort.
