Will there be a happy ending

ARK Corporation President's office.

The woman was taking a short break in the separated bedroom that was built in her office. The morning had been filled with pressing meetings on the several major projects she was undertaking. Especially on the Historical Sites Restoration project that was undergoing with the government's collaboration.

The only reason why she forced herself to take a break was that her head was pounding so bad that it feels like her head was gonna blow up.

As you might recall, Hidayah was in the process of taking over Starlight by buying over the company shares. To date, she already controls 12% of shares and will be buying over an additional 10% more by the end of next month.

This made the family behind Starlight more aggressive with their retaliation on her actions. To be honest, she wouldn't have actively target Starlight if the Lee family had not started attacking them last year by kidnapping the Darroch girls. That incident had taken a lot from the Loh's family. Not only were the girls kidnapped, but Jessica and Jasmine were also drugged and Jacqueline was raped.

Even though Hidayat and Anston had destroyed those who were involved, they had spared the family. However, that was only the beginning.

Tok Tok Tok, Hidayah could hear someone knocking on the bedroom's door. She slowly sits up from the bed and straightened her blouse before asking to enter.

"Sorry, Ms Loh, you have a lunch meeting in 45 minutes at Cathay with Mr Liew from Eco World." Clarence, Hidayah's personal assistant reminded her.

"Thanks, Clarence. Can you get my car ready?"

"Yes, Ms Loh."

That day, Nazreen had some matters to attend to. Hence, the designated driver hired by Kamari was on duty. After washing her face and resetting her hair, she walked out of the room and towards her desk to pack her stuff.

She then carried her brown Tuscany Leather briefcase before walking out of the office.

"Tabitha, please cancel all my afternoon meetings from today till the end of the month. Reschedule all to morning meetings. If they cannot be avoided, Please let me and Erika know." she instructed her secretary before leaving.

"Ms Loh, Vice-President had instructed me to move some of your meetings to his schedule for him to handle this morning. I have emailed you the changes. Please let me know if there are any further instructions." Clarence informed her in the lift.

"I will take a look at it in the car." she nodded and replied to her personal assistant. She was so busy this morning that she had not had a chance to look at her emails that were not related to her projects. Furthermore, if it was really urgent, she knew that Clarence would have notified her earlier.

After driving for about half an hour, Hidayah arrived at her destination and walked slowly towards the restaurant Clarence had reserved for them.

"Hidayah! Nice to see you again!" Mr Liew greeted her with a wide smile on his face when Hidayah entered the private room of the restaurant, with an open arm.

"Aaron! I hope you didn't wait long…" Hidayah responded likewise while hugging the man back. The past year, both of them had a close relationship beyond the working relationship. Aaron had become a close friend.

"Oh boo… For you to be late on a last minute lunch date is fine… hahaha…" Mr Liew laughed at Hidayah's response. Today's lunch was really a last minute arrangement that they agreed with in the morning.

"How long will you be here this time around?" Hidayah asked the man sitting in front of her.

"3 days," he stopped saying further when the wait staff entered their room to serve them drinks which were ordered before Hidayah arrived.
