Wings of Pain

"You deserve nothing," Isis growled

"What do you mean? Clearly I do," Seth replied his hand shook visibly from anger, "why are you resisting? What does Osiris have that I don't?"

Something snapped in Isis she raised her hand and smacked it across Seth's face. A crack echoed through the air.

"What was that f-" Seth began.

"How dare you?" Isis trembled, "do I look like a pawn to you?"

"You know that's not wh-" Seth began he was cut short by another slap across the face. His brain vibrated by the hit.

"Who do you think you are?" Isis snapped, "Lives are not yours to take, you are not someone I want to bow to. And you will never be someone I would fall for. Do you know what Osiris has that you don't? Integrity, loyalty, honesty, and humbleness. What type of monstrosity are you, for you to murder your own brother for the sake of the throne and go after his wife for pleasure when you are already wedded to another woman?"

"You know very well you were mine, to begin with," Seth rebuked.

"Along those lines," Seth retorted, " but you can't expect me to be loyal to someone I never lov-" He was stopped by another slap from Isis. A line of blood dripped from his nose.

"YOU ARE A DISGRACE," Isis hissed and smacked Seth across the face again, "Not a single drop of remorse in your blood, only hate and obsession. THE ONLY THING YOU DESERVE IS A LIFETIME SERVE IN THE FIRES OF HELL. And trust me," Isis declared, "I'll make sure that's exactly what you get."

Isis turned around and walked out of the room. Tears ran down her cheeks and her heart throbbed from pain. This was all too much for her to take. What was going to be her next course of action? Funeral? She couldn't say goodbye to him just yet just a few days ago she had kissed him on the forehead promising to come back soon. She had to find him.
