World Of Warcraft: Altered Time
Chapter 20 - City and Law
"So everything is secured though, right?" Azul asked Kalar.
"Yes."
"Good. Glad you all are safe. I need to unload this stuff first. Then revive the fallen." Doing just that Azul started the process. "Good job on keeping everyone alive for the most part. Some of these deaths are weird."
"Very good my lord." Kalar said reading the display. "A decrease in power and lethargy for a few days. Not a bad trade-off to living again. There are different values to each person. The amount of times they can be reborn I take it?"
"Yeah. My goddess Bane will not allow weakness to continue returning. I can remove that but then the person would be nothing for the most part."
"I see." Kalar agreed. He understood from a warrior's point of view. Then the door opened and the others came in.
"Father!" Nagiana shot across and tackled Azul. "Your back." She rubbed her head into his stomach almost flipping him and the chair over. She has become stronger in the short time he was away.
"Easy little one," Azul said patting her back. "Didn't think you would miss me this much."
"Mhhm, I missed you a lot," Nagiana said.
"Where is my sister?" Demona asked. Her face had a look of worry. She teleported behind Azul. "She didnt die right? You didnt leave her there did you?"
"Ok so what is with the Orc?" Disa asked. "It feels like you. According to the screen it is you..?"
Azul then began to explain what it was. And why it came to be that way.
"So you are going to have a you of every race on the planet?" Kalar asked. "Sentient race anyway."
"Correct. So far an Orc me and well a Dranei version of me." Closing his eyes, he looked to the left of the Orc Vladmir. A Draenei appeared. "Hah, to much magic. I will not be doing that for a while."
"Ah, this will help diplomatic matters," Disa said while nodding her head.
"Correct. They will travel with the ambassadors. Mostly to check the state of the land as well as the people themselves. They will also enter the various areas that create dungeons. Well before they become part of the past anyway. As a blood elf myself, I dont have access to a lot of them here."
"Knock, knock," Tomas entered with a few knights. "Sory for the intrusion. But a few of your relatives are here again my lord."
Azul looked down. Blinking twice he looked back up confused. "My only relative is right here. What in the world do you mean again?" Pointing at Nagiana he had to ask. "Have you been running away or something?"
"No, father. He means the other elves that came." Nagiana said blinking slowly. She was trying to tell if Azul was kidding or not. Seeing him generally confused she was actually happy. She did not like the visitors.
"You elves are very long-lived. Some of your kin from then survived. They used various ways to survive over the years." Disa smiled happily. "I would think you would be happy with more of them living. Especially after what happened to you according to the archives and what you have told us."
Next hours were spent with Azul explaining various things to them. The biggest that they should not have given them special treatment. It was extremely stupid of them, he was very dissapointed. The laws that were set up should have prevented that from happening. However... Tomas and Demona were the only ones that inforced it. The others gave concessions and treated the people like one would in other cities. The good news, none of the created or awakened people did. They broke small laws like drunk and disorderly a few times but it was after completing some adventures. All that were in parameters that were set and allowed.
"Right. So like I was saying. This is my only family right here." Azul pointed down at Naginia. "And my extended family are you people and my citizens." Touching a screen he checked the broken laws of the people that arrived. It was a long list.
Azul's face scrunched up at some of the things that were done. In modern earth, a lot of them had committed felonies.
"So, this is whats going to happen.. you blasted idiots are going to fix this." Azul said with steel in his voice as he looked at them all. He raised his hand up to stop them from interrupting. "Oh I know you all are gonna do it. Get them to pay the fine up to the word of the law, get them to apologize to anybody they offended. Apologize to our people for screwing them over like this, and get them out of the city. You have 24 hours."
"That will be quiet hard to do." Kalar said with a pained smile.
"I dont care." Azul countered.
"It is a lot of money." Disa said.
"Any gold you cant acquire will come out of all your pay!" Azul said.
"If you dont accomplish this I will just kill them, and the people that came with them." Azul voice became even colder. "Am I clear?"
"We.. we understand." The lot of them said.
"Am I crystal clear?" Azul said with magic laced in his voice.
"Yes, Lord!" They got up and ran out of the room. Leaving Nagiana, Tomas, Kalar, Nocturne, Demona and Azul. A few of the guard's names started to flicker. The way he said it triggered their souls.
"My lord... they are your blood. Royalty as well as.." Kalar started to say.
"They have done nothing deserving of it. They are trash. They might as well be children. Sins of the parents fall on the children and all that." Azul was trying to calm down as he reread the screen of the offenses. "The people assaulted, bring them to me. I have to make this right. I cant believe you idiots screwed this up."
"Understood." Kalar said getting up and leaving. Azul didnt see the smile on the man's face. 'Glad he is pushing for equality more. The others thought it was just bl.u.s.ter.' He sped up once he thought about the ones that would cause the most trouble.
"Sooo is Nocturne, my mother, now?" Nagiana asked looking at the way the other two looked at Azul.
"Working on it. Lets just say her and Demona are the best candidates for it. Is that a problem?"
"Good." Looking to his orc self Azul had a quick conversation with him. It was agreed he would head to the orc encampment that he started in the north of the island. "We should expand the land there. Not all orcs are hunters. In fact we should base the Shaman's there to. Way to many of the pools are in one location. Now that we have a bigger force, we can separate them more. The Orcs and a Dranei detachment will be in charge of that."
"Yes, considering the amount of elemental power inside us, we should be to control any problem that will arise. I can raise our Shaman abilities a lot faster. As well as our hunter abilities." Vladmir then stood up to leave.
"Master.. I want you to feed me. With everything you felt at the end of the dungeon." Demona said coming over.
"I will spend time with Nagiana. I need to tell her about some things." Nocturne came over and offered her hand to the girl. She took it timidily and left with her.
"Thunk," the door closed with a look from Azul. The guard's were on the other side.
"So food." Nocturne sat down and wrapped her legs around him. "You are becoming such a strange master."
"You are a strange subordinate." Azul grabbed her hand and started to channel to her.
"Oh, I moved up now have I?" Demona's eyes started to glaze over from the power. A fire pattern appeared on her neck.
"Yes. You and Tomas did everything right while I was gone. You even started up some proper warlock training for them. NO hidden surprises right?" Azul said making sure he didnt error somewhere. She nodded and he smiled. "That is good, enough to be promoted to Vassal anyway."
"That is good." Azul smiled from that. Finally a little something going right while he was gone. Channeling the happy moments he shared in the cabin with Nocturne at the end. "Here to top it off anyway." Demona wings spread out. Blood streaked patterns down them that tributed to Bane. Fire started to form at the bottom of her demonic wings.
(Demona has gaines fire resitance. +5% Total 55%)
"Ohh, some good stuff." Demona m.o.a.n.e.d and floated above him in whatever Lala land she goes to when he overfed her. "Really good stuff." Little fire emotes danced around her as she hugged herself.
"Uh-huh.." turning away to the screen's Azul got to work on some builds. "So many new options."
6 hours later a plan was formed and everything was laid out.
His Dranei self and a few other priest with the Flame elves will travel to the south. It was time to do something about the Ghostlands. It was early but it was an investment. Especially with the plague lands down below. While that was going on the blood elf him would take over Windrunner spire and meet up to take care of deatholme.
"Time for building." Azul sighed and almost started the process.
"Knock, knock." The door opened to reveal the guards. They had an urgent message. K.s. informed of the urgency as well. Azul got up and followed them. Demona just floated behind slowly. A magical thread linking them togethor.
- 10 minutes later -
"I agree." Azul said neutrally. He looked at the Elf that had the man held. His name was Kozack. "Feel free to do what is needed Kozack."
"Understood my lord." Kozack let him go. Before the rude man could make a full sentence Kozack ended it.
"This has been a ..." he didnt speak again as Kozack's silver spear stabbed him in the heart.
"You killed him." Another influential elf next to the man said. "This is not proper .." Azul raised his hand and fired a mana bolt at the man's face.
"Fwwoosh," his head burned away. Magic came up from the ground taking the bodies away.
"You monster!" An elf yelled.
"Kill them all!" Azul said agitatedly. In less then two minutes the rest were cut down. They were the rabble-rousers. K.s. had analyzed the memories and notes on the people. They were here to eat up resources and try to take anything they could. "Useless." He then looked at the remaining people. The ones who didnt leave.
"They are the ones who couldn't leave without permission from well the recently dead people. The others were convinced and left." Disa said upon arriving. She rubbed her thumbs slowly. "I think we should let them go. You have killed enough of them."
"Shut up," Azul said not even looking at her. He flipped a screen and showed her the information that K.s. was able to gather. He waited as she read it. "Still think they should be allowed to live."
"I... think.. we should hold them in the cells." Disa said looking away from the screen. She didnt even read half of it. "Give them a trial."
"Ok, engineer." Azul said. "You are in charge of defending them. Or should I say, counselor?"
"What! I dont know the first thing about law."
"Horse shit. Your a citizen here. You know the law. You know what they have done wrong. You will argue there defense. If you fail.. they die. You might as well."
"But.." disa started to retort.
"No buts. You need to be punished. Appropriate one for you. If you want to preach that every life is worth saving then prove it." Azul looked down at her snarling. "People like you make me absolutely sick. I did not think your foolishness would go so far. You were a lot better when I first met you in the tomb." Azul turned to walk away."
"I am sorry," Disa said mumbling. "I just dont want you to turn out.. like the rest."
"Yes."
"Good. Glad you all are safe. I need to unload this stuff first. Then revive the fallen." Doing just that Azul started the process. "Good job on keeping everyone alive for the most part. Some of these deaths are weird."
