Then, he bombarded several castles, those castles contained the core that controlled the formation.

He wanted to destroy these cores, so that the city's protective formation wouldn't be able to be shut down, and the cultivators within the entire city would be lambs to the slaughter.

There was one prerequisite: he had to kill all eight Saint Rulers in the city!
