One of the most valuable things in life is experience. Experience is something that's earned and will stick with you forever. Take for example cutting your own hair. You might need a very long time and only produce mediocre results on your first try, but that'll change by the time you're doing it for the hundredth time.

I personally find it to be highly valuable to be proficient (to a certain degree) at everything.
