Chapter 40: The Führer and the Army in Another World

Alright, next is the Army.

Located across from the Ministry of the Navy is a rugged concrete building that serves as the Ministry of the Army. It’s not very stylish, is it?

“…Eryu-san, you seem strangely particular about buildings.”

“Is that no good, Ayame-san?”

“No, not at all.”

As I was looking at the building, Ayame-san seemed somewhat dissatisfied.

Isn’t it fine, since I’m a dictator, I just appreciate nice architecture.

Well, anyway…

The imperial central government ministries are concentrated here, close to the Führer’s Palace. It’s great that the travel distance is so short.

And then here we are inside the Ministry of the Army…

The atmosphere is much more restless compared to the Ministry of the Navy.

Here’s what I mean…

“Oh, my Führer! Long live small breasts!”

“Welcome to the Ministry of the Army! Long live small breasts!”

My goodness.

A long plain corridor without any decoration that is similar to the practicality of the exterior appearance of the Ministry of the Army.

There, all the military personnel who were passing by would give their salute and cheer. While looking at my breasts.

There’s not much to be seen, my maiden heart can’t take too much… No, I don’t have a maiden’s heart I’m a boy, so, well, you know.

From the Yamato spirit perspective, having my breasts to be looked at is unpleasant and embarrassing.

As such, I will stay close to Ayame-san. This way, so I can hide myself behind Ayame-san and cannot be seen.

“For generations, many of the Army’s soldiers were small-breast fetish extremists.”

Ayame-san explains.

It’s disgusting when Navy soldiers blatantly stare at my thighs. But it’s even worse when Army soldiers proudly and openly cheer on my breasts.

“Please don’t be too hard on them, Eryu-san. Normally, they are diligent and serious military men, they just acted like that because they were in high spirits in front of you.”

“Is that so?”

When I asked Ayame-san that, she nodded her head hesitantly… Yeah, as expected, you can’t really be sure that it’s not perverted, can you?

Now then.

Reception room of the Ministry of the Army.

Perhaps because it is a guest room, it is at least somewhat stylishly decorated. It feels like a reception room of a small company.

This place is shabby compared to the Führer’s Palace, which is like a grand palace of royalty and nobility, or the Ministry of the Navy, which has a classy, sophisticated atmosphere.

Is it because the Army doesn’t have the budget?

I was sitting on the sofa in the reception room…

“…Your Excellency, what is the meaning of that posture?”

Then, Mr. Bald Glasses tilted his head. My answer to him was, “I was in the mood for it.”

Speaking of the situation…

I am sitting on Ayame-san’s lap on the sofa. Therefore, Ayame-san hugged me from behind.

The way this bald glasses man stared at my breasts was so unpleasant, when I just thought about how I disliked it, Ayame-san covered my chest from behind by hugging me.

I appreciate her thoughtfulness, but… Please don’t rub it, okay? Ayame-san.

I wonder how dictator Eryutheia can maintain her authority when she doing something like this, then Ayame-san says, “As you can see, Eryu-san is a spoiled one…” She seems to be pleased as well.

Mr. Bald Glasses also grinned and smiled, saying “This is truly a feast for the eyes, hahaha.”

It will probably be fine.

Ah, even I am starting to be affected, huh? To the Perversion.

……I mean, as expected, Ayame-san really does smell nice. but If I sniffed too much, she would say, “Oh, Eryu-san, are you curious about my smell!” I don’t do it because I get excited.

And then.

“How is the army doing? Has the army been able to mechanize properly?”

“Yes, under the ‘Blitzkrieg Doctrine,’ we are currently working with the domestic automobile industry to increase the production of transport vehicles. Thanks to Your Excellency’s order for the reduction of our armed forces, the downsizing of the army has allowed for easier motorization!”

What an insightful observation, as expected from you, Your Excellency! Or things like, there is nothing impossible for our elite army! He sure loves bragging. And speaking of the army.

I wonder why army men like Tsuji-san are so full of themselves. They tend to be loud or eccentric.

To be honest, I don’t like that kind of man. It’s a bit too much for me…

“No, thank you.”

Well, my preference doesn’t really matter.

The infrastructure of this world is completely nonexistent.

There are no steam engines, which is not surprising, of course, there are also no railroads in this world.

As such, it is not possible to support a large-scale army.

In fact, in the last Beastvania war, we only had armies operating in areas that could be supplied from the coast.

The most effective solution to this problem is to construct a railroad, however…

There is no way we can build a railroad to the elves and barbarians countries we will be fighting in the future.

Therefore, we are making a desperate effort to motorize our units. A motorized unit is a heavy unit that requires another motorized unit to replenish supplies, however, it is much more efficient at replenishing supplies when compared to a horse-drawn carriage.

The current Imperial Army has a fixed number of 200,000 troops and it should not be too difficult to motorize a force of this size…

And if I can’t, then a bicycle. Something like a bicycle blitz.

Then.

“What about the new Army-developed weapons?”

“Due to the different world circumstances, and in accordance with the new doctrine, rifles, tanks, and aircraft will be the primary focus. Your Excellency, please take a look, this new rifle uses the newly developed 7.7mm bullet…”

Could this be a prototype?

Mr. Bald Glasses takes out a rifle. Ah, he then came closer and handed it to me… It’s heavy.

“Do you need me to help you?”

When I was about to drop it, Ayame-san said to me with a worried look.

“No, Ayame-san, please stay as you are and keep hugging me like that.”

So please keep my breasts covered. Because that is more important.

So, how is the rifle…

“Is it the same bolt-action type as before?”

“The current 6.5mm ammunition is not very effective against the monsters of this world. For that reason, we are developing a new rifle that uses the larger caliber of 7.7mm.”

Makes sense.

If the previous rifles were Type 38, this one is similar to a Type 99 rifle.

In this world, there exist all sorts of monsters like orcs. The 6.5mm is an anti-personnel round, so it may be a bit lacking in firepower.

Even so.

“Rejected. Rather, the Ministry of Finance will not allow us to manufacture a new type of ammunition when there is a surplus of 6.5mm ammunition that was produced for the final war.”

During the final war before another world transfer, we had mobilized about 2 million soldiers.

Mobilizing an army means that the troops must be fully armed, even though now that they have been disarmed, there is a lot of surplus weapons and ammunition because of the previous mobilization.

If the caliber of our main rifle is changed, then the ammunition that was produced at that time would be wasted…There is nothing more wasteful than this.

“Please consider this, Your Excellency…”

“I will not.”

Certainly, if I were to say to the Ministry of Finance, “I want to have a new type of rifle! With a caliber of 7.7 mm…” I have a feeling that if I were to ask them, they would just say yes and agree to it, don’t you think?

It’s quite sweet.

However, I won’t do it because I personally dislike it.

Besides, rather than increasing the caliber…

“…That’s right, let’s compensate for the low firepower with a barrage of bullets. Make it an automatic rifle, instead.”

“An automatic rifle, is it?”

“That’s right.”

Creating a rifle like the Kalashnikov would be more innovative in terms of anti-personnel warfare. The motorization would also improve the supply chain problem to some extent.

“That makes sense, Your Excellency has valid points! Let’s consult this with the Development Department. Next is, about the new type of tank. This is the design plan for the new type of tank that Your Excellency has designed.”

“The tank that I designed? … Ah, I see.”

The design plan that was handed over, no matter how you look at it, was the design plan for the Soviet T-50 light tank.

When did I ever come up with this design plan, I wonder, but I probably must have drawn it some time ago. Certainly, I remember drawing to pass the time.

“This tank has an exceptionally advanced design, as one would expect from Führer’s creations…”

I’m not sure what to say, but I got a lot of praise for it… It’s rather a delicate feeling. It’s not a tank that was particularly designed by me.

Well, never mind.

“So, in terms of management, is development possible?”

“…I estimated that the development will be completed within the next five years. Until then, it’s the existing Type 3 light tanks and their improved model.”

“It’s the newer model with a larger turret, right?”

Until now, the Type 3 light tanks have had a flaw where the tank commander also serves as the gunner.

The three crew members are the driver who is in charge of driving, the gunner who operates the front machine gun, and the commander who doubles as the gunner in the turret.

Because the Type 3 light tank has a small turret and can only accommodate one person, this arrangement is unavoidable, however, in actual combat, the burden on the tank commander is much greater than expected, hence why the change was made.

In fact, when I commanded a Type 3 in Manchuria and Beastvania, I was too busy operating the gun to do anything else.

We are developing an improved model that is slightly improved on that point.

It’s not too bad.

The rest is about aircraft…

“We are developing a prototype, but…”

What do you think about it? He gave me a reluctant look when I asked.

It seems that the Army has less enthusiasm for aircraft development compared to the Navy. No, to be precise, it’s not the motivation but the lack of budget.

After all, motorization is an expensive proposition.

“Eryu-san, Eryu-san.”

“Yes, yes, what’s the matter, Ayame-san?”

As I was wondering what to do, Ayame-san whispered in my ear from behind. It’s ticklish

“Just in case something like this might happen, I have ordered my company ‘Imperial Aircraft’ to develop fighter planes.”

“Ayame-san?”

Is that another strange company under the Imperial Guards… I wonder if that’s okay.
