Yomigaeri no Maou

Episode 257: Pick up the bones.

"... Paula, what the hell, is this"

In a conference room within the headquarters of the Leonard Northern Adventurers Union (Guild), an Adventurers Union (Guild) official with a bluished complexion whined to Paula, yes.

He is a young man with a fine, scholarly appearance, by the name of Rand, who works as an information investigator in the Adventurers' Union (Guild).

I am a very competent person as an investigator who gathers information from a wide range because of the fact that I don't see him, because of his very light footwork, his wide face and his high ability to communicate, but he is so bloody out of his face that I have never seen him do that before.

That should be it, too.

Paula looked in the direction he turned his gaze - that is, he saw a group sitting at the end of the conference room and sighed.

There sits the heavy towns of the Leonard Kingdom Adventurers Union (Guild).

He is Northern union chief Moitz, Western union chief Adler, Northern union chief assistant Ivan, and Western union chief assistant Mireille.

Furthermore, the executive staff of the Northern Adventurers' Union (Guild) is in full swing, and this is unlikely without so much.

Strangely enough, there are three strange people and one sitting near the Moitz, but it didn't seem to get that end of the line in Rand's eyes.

If they found out they were Ancient Demons and Ancient Dragons (Enchanted Dragons), they would be even more shocked and disoriented, but it might have been his only salvation not to happen.

Paula told Rand's words, sighing,

"... I can't even explain it to me. Wow. If I were to insist, I'd just say Yuki... Rand, that was your announcement today. Well... good luck."

That's how I answered and slapped Rand on the shoulder.

What is going to happen today is a meeting of intelligence investigators from all over Leonard, the first of its kind announcement.

The first, I mean, that was about Rand.

Even though much responsibility is required, I thought it was a casual presentation within my peers, but the people on the clouds are coming to listen to me with all the momentum.

Rand is blue-faced by the situation.

But still, Rand was surprisingly manly.

While dyeing his face to a terrible color, his eyes were cut and the fire caught.

Apparently, he's made up his mind.

He tells Paula.

"... pick up the bones."

Paula was convinced that he would finish the announcement without any problems.

And that's why I say a little mean.

"If it's falling. I hope you don't melt away on the stage. Wow."

◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆

In the first place, the conversation at the Night Eagle Pavilion, which took place yesterday, began with such a pretty yuki.

In order to enter the Lugung trading country, and after finishing a rough conversation about the steps after entering the country, there was no other love, but Paula talked about her meeting the next day.

Of course, I've heard that face before, but Ivan said it as if he'd come up with something.

"Is that okay if I go ask?

If it was just an ordinary person or something who said this, aside from the story, Ivan is one of the executives of the Clean Adventurers Union (Guild).

It was not to worry about being divulged outside the Adventurers' Union (Guild), and it was also a thankful story as a lower end that the upper management would know all sorts of information.

That would be easier to talk through later, and for all the investigators gathered this time, it would be better for the future to keep them face-to-face with a headquarters executive named Ivan.

With that in mind, Paula agreed to Ivan's proposal in two replies.

Yes, I agree.

"Yeah, of course you don't mind. I have various announcements, so I think everyone would be happy to get a comment or something because it could be short. Wow."

I usually appreciate the content and quality of the presentation while discussing it with the gathered investigators, but it was a word I appreciated that there were comments from different perspectives there.

Ivan seems to have figured that out, too, smiling,

"Yes, then I will do so"

and snort.

Then I added another word.

Later Paula should have thought a little more and replied at this time, but it is a later festival.

says Ivan.

"... By the way, I'm alone, so can I invite a few others? Of course, the people inside the Adventurers' Union (Alliance). After thoroughly communicating the contents of the announcement,"

I thought a little about this, Paula.

I was just wondering if it would be a good idea to invite an unknown person to an important meeting.

But I thought that Ivan couldn't possibly know that much, and that he would probably select carefully about the people who are coming.

In addition, with Ivan's gaze toward the Lulu's and Moitz, he anticipated that a few other invitees would be them, plus their acquaintance or something.

And that's about it, I wouldn't mind, though.

That's why Paula said.

I said it.

"Yeah. I don't think there's anything that makes you so strictly concerned about information leakage, but I don't mind if you pay attention. Sometimes I think it would be better if you listened to me besides someone I know, but I also feel nervous about the meeting... and of course, the official reply would be after I went back to the inn and asked everyone if I could join..."

"Of course it is. I won't force you. Nice to meet you"

That's what Ivan said.

◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆

What follows will be what Paula heard from them before the meeting began.

According to that, after inviting the Lulu's to the meeting, Ivan returned to the headquarters of the Northern Adventurers' Union (Guild) and even took the story to the head of the Northern Union.

They knew that the investigators were now gathered in Teram Nadia and that the meeting was scheduled to take place, as well as the head of the Northern Union, but they had no idea that the contents of the meeting would later be heard directly in order to be raised in documents.

In the meantime, Ivan's proposal sounded a lot more interesting, and the head of the Northern Union said he had decided to participate on the spot.

In addition, it seems that the timing was right on the spot, with some Western union chiefs, and if the Northern union chiefs were to participate, so were myself.

Ivan says that there is a little bit of childishness for someone who is really the head of a Western union, and he is opposed to the head of a Northern union.

If the head of the Northern Union does it, himself, it seems close to his cliché to say.

As a result, it was decided to participate in the meeting between the two heavy towns: the head of the northern union and the head of the western union, and, more naturally, the assistant head of the western union would also participate automatically.

That would still have been good.

The problem lies in the fact that the story of two Quartet union leaders attending a meeting quickly became rumoured and spread within the headquarters.

The two heads of the Quadripartite Union, who have no particular guilt, said that if asked about their participation in the meeting, they would honestly plan to do so, and that the headquarters staff recognized that it was of considerable importance because it was a meeting in which the two heads of the Quadripartite Union participated.

When that happens, it becomes a feeling that people want to participate or should participate, and the headquarters staff looked at the date, time and place of the investigators' meeting and figured it out.

Even so, this investigation would not have been as difficult.

Anyway, the meeting place is in the conference room within the headquarters, after making a firm reservation.

Needless to say, it was instantly grasped.

And while the staff participating within the headquarters were carefully selected, it should be taken for granted that the majority of the fairly senior executives wanted to participate.

As a result, the situation is now.

Northern Adventurers Union (Alliance) union executives lined up.

I can feel the atmosphere and reliability of diving through a number of training grounds in all of them on boulders, but it would be a very courageous act to stand on a stage where such intimidation can be directed.

Again, Paula is now in the front row of the queue of prospective presenters standing next to the lecture stand, looking at Rand and coming pathetic.

Pretty stiff.

But he still has to do it.

'... Sounds like it's time you guys got together. Okay, we'll start the meeting. Even so, along the lines of the subject submitted beforehand by each investigator, it's a simple one to announce.'

The MC's voice sounded by loud magic implements.

It is the voice of an elderly woman and she is the one taking the head of this meeting.

I've only worked for the Adventurers' Union (Guild) for years, and even in today's situation, where the heavy towns are dominated by boulders, I seem to be able to afford to fly jokes.

Most of the heavy towns also seem to know each other, as much as they chatted with them until earlier.

She was the only one who was now reliable in this setting.

She goes on.

'It's a small meeting that doesn't usually bring too many people together, so I think there are some things I don't like to hear about you. Besides, basically, if you are presenting, we have chosen many young people to gain experience, so when so many older people pay attention, they may not be able to move as Cocatrice has stared at them. Please, with a warm heart, I beg you to listen.'

That was a request for consideration of the headquarters staff, as well as words to relieve the presenters of tension.

To her words, the headquarters staff nodded deeply, and the presenters' complexion was also slightly softer.

"So... from the first presenter. The subject is" On the association between ancient ruins discovered in Bejwa in recent years and late demonic guidance civilization ”and the presenter is Rand Dickaon. Rand, up the stage."

With her words, Rand climbed to the stage with the applause of the audience.

His face, illuminated by demonic lights (lights), is still not much different from what he saw in the dark.

But he started talking, squeezing his courage.

◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆

It is as if Lulu had nothing to do with the tension of such presenters.

In the back row of the conference room, talking in a small voice, I was listening to the announcement that had just begun.

"... when I say Bejwa, where?

When Lulu asks, Moitz sits next to him to the right and answers.

"You're a small settlement in the West. Ancient things and relics are found in the area. I don't know the details yet, but it seems to be a variety of interesting sites, and I hear the research has flourished."

Ancient ruins, what does that have to do with the Ancient Demons?

That's what I thought, Lulu, but apparently not when I'm listening to Rand's announcement.

Originally, the Ancient Demon Nation, is an almost legendary being that doesn't seem to know if it was academically present or not, even suspected of being real.

Scholars do not usually think that it is a relic left behind by such people.

What do you think, then, is that there is a luxurious civilization, much later than there was supposedly an ancient demonic tribe, and that is the civilization that is said to be the guiding civilization.

This has a classification for the first and second semesters, but what separates it is a disaster, he said.

A certain disaster, what is it, this does not know the details, but referring to the topography and slight documentary materials of the time, it is apparently established that some major disaster has occurred.

Because of this, most of the relics of the exorcist civilization have disappeared, and he says he still knows very little about this civilization.

In contrast, he says he knows a lot about late demonic guidance civilization.

That's because relics and historical materials have been found quite a bit, oral biographies, etc. also remain everywhere, he said.

This time, the ruins of Bejwa, which were found, will belong to this late demonic civilization, is an outline of Rand's announcement, and the details of why it can be said so.

At first it was his announcement, which was followed only a little by tension, but at the end it was spoken in a good voice and his competence was understandable.

Everyone felt that the boulder, only one of the presenters, had been chosen.
