Young Master in the Apocalypse

Chapter 156 Responsibility

In the morning, Eva, Jessie, and Liza ate their breakfast together in the yacht living room.

An awkward silence reigned between them, of course from what just happened last night.

The morning after such amazing sex was supposed to be the start of a joyful day. However, the mood was ruined by the presence of a third girl who came and climbed onto the bed without the three participants' knowledge.

"Did I drink too much last night?…"

After talking to each other, the two women looked at Viktor in suspicion.

Meanwhile, the person responsible for this situation kept eating her breakfast without saying anything. In fact, her expression was one of innocence.

"Hey, Liza, big sister was surprised to see you this morning… How did you enter the room and climb onto the bed last night."

Jessie asked because she was the one who locked the door before she last enter the bedroom

With her mouth still full of cereal, Liza pointed at Viktor and told everyone he let her in last night

"Nooooooooo!!" Viktor was screaming loudly inside. "I've been wrongfully accused!"

Hearing the answer, even the usually kind Eva glared at him. Though she still smiled, the scary aura was palpable.

"My dear, you know that she is barely 17, right…?"

"No... no… I think she is at least 18."

The answer prompted Jessie to join in, piercing him with a sharp glare as well. "So, you admit it?!"

"No, no… Seriously, I don't even know when did she enter the room." Viktor shook his head in panic.

Eva even started to cry saying that she didn't realize he was so crazed for sex to even do something like that.

A moment later, Barry came in bringing out more fresh juice and Viktor quickly said, hoping to alleviate some of the awkward tension in the room.

"Barry... please join in for breakfast..."

Barry didn't know what happened, but with a quick look at the four occupants of the room, even he could tell that something was up. Hence, he quickly used the excuse of needing to attend other work helping Boris and Torri, before he returned to the top deck of the yacht.

However.. when Viktor turned around to plead his innocence to the girl, they all started to laugh.

"Hahaha, my dear, we are just joking. I was the one who let her in because she couldn't sleep from the moving yacht. I know you didn't touch her at all."

"Hahaha, oh goodness, this is too funny. Hey, don't be too angry, let the girl have her fun, alright?"

Viktor took a deep breath and calmed himself down. He really had some experience with all kinds of women from all around the world, but he never did anything without their consent let alone touch underaged girls.

Breakfast ended while the girls laughed their hearts out. Liza ended up finishing most of the food by herself. Thanks to the shock, Viktor only ate a little bit of the food.

Viktor walked up to the top deck and saw the boys were busy operating the yacht. As he walked to the front, he saw ice floating on the surface of the freezing river. The further their journey went on, the thicker the ice became; and the harder it is for them to pass through.

Seeing the hull of the ship start to crack, Viktor decided to touch the ship with both hands. With [Metal Bending], the cracks started to mend and disappear as if it was never there in the first place.

Then he took a deep breath, concentrated, and used his skill.

[Metal Tempering]

The metal glowed with white, gold, and blueish light for a bit, before the light faded. The metal still looked the same as before, but it was easy to tell they have gotten stronger.

He repeated the process to ensure their safe travels.

[You have successfully tempered tier 0 material with excellent quality]

[You have successfully tempered tier 0 material with masterpiece quality]

[You have successfully tempered tier 0 material with masterpiece quality]

Now as his Core of Anvil reached stage 5, Viktor could easily turn normal metal and make it 90% stronger, making it almost as strong as a tier 1 material.

Jessie saw what he did and couldn't help but be amazed by it.

"I really think this skill of yours could do a lot of good to the world."

"Is it really that unique?" Viktor turned to look at her and asked.

"Seriously, a skill that could induce a permanent change in quality? If you really put your heart into mastering it, you might become as famous as the missing hero."

It was clear that Jessie intended her words as a compliment. However, when he heard it, Viktor just turned silent.

Viktor was never a hero and his whole life he had lived for himself. However, in the last two months, many things happened and he had changed. The power he received, the friends he made, and all the experiences he gathered have all but made him a whole new person.

If someone even told him one year ago that he would be adventuring around Russia in a quest to become stronger, he would most likely laugh at them in their face.

"With great power comes great responsibility."

Though it was a great line that he could agree with in theory, for Viktor the lines were only a reminder about such a big burden a responsibility a hero would have, something that he wished he could reject with all his being. He couldn't bring himself to care about all of it, he just wanted to spend his entire life in happiness despite the apocalypse.

As he was pondering about what to do next, Viktor opened his stats.

[Viktor Romanov]

[Male - 23 years]

[Strength - 46 ]

[Agility - 87 ]

[Endurance - 51]

[Battle Power - 62]

[Spririt Force - 100]

[Sky Realm Level 1 - Early Stage]

[Core of Anvil Stage 5 - 0,1%]

[Spirit Power - B]

[Spirit Control - A]

[Spirit Pool - B ]

[You have 50 status points that can be freely distributed!]

[You have 1 magic point]

If this fact gets out, not only would he be saddled with more questions that may lead to the existence of the Djinn being discovered, but he would also have to deal with a lot of responsibility. Right now, that was the last thing he wanted.

The fact worried him enough that at first, he was not too eager to distribute all 50 points of his stats.

Fortunately for him, though, the last fight he faced had offered a solution for this.

First, he allocates the 50 points in such a way to balance his stats

[Strength - 46 (65)]

[Agility - 87(104 ]

[Endurance - 51(65)]

[Battle Power - 62(78)]

Afterwards, he took out the [Witch's Pendant] he received from Liza and wore it under his shirt. The effect was immediate, as moments after, he could feel the strength leaving his body, making him seem weaker than usual.

[Your realm levels have been restricted.]

[Strength - 65 (33)]

[Agility - 104 (52)]

[Endurance - 65 (33)]

[Battle Power - 78 (39)]

[Spirit force - 100 (50)]

To confirm his findings, Viktor quickly asked Jessie to see how strong he is, and she found sense him in a mid-stage Earth realm, by virtue of his 50 spirit force.

"Oh, this is interesting… I like this idea," Jessie nodded in approval. "This way, you could stand out less and have a bit more freedom."

The pendant would not only hide his true strength and allow him to blend in with the crowd, but also increase his strength when the situation calls for it. Not only that, his spell power would increase further thanks to the pendant's effects.

Thinking about spell power made Viktor realize. Now that he has the power of magic, he had started using more spells to aid him in battle. Thus, some extra [Spirit Power] to boost his performance a bit would be the best course or action.

He gave an order to the Djinn to allocate his magic points as he desired.

[Spirit Power - B(A)]

[Spirit Control - A]

[Spirit Pool - B ]

Right as he finished the allocation process, the town of Arkhangelsk had finally started to appear in the horizon, bathed by the warm light of the almost noon sunlight. The small buildings provided only a little contrast to the sea of snow all around the town, but they had lived there so long, and now they could recognize it from afar.

"Great, we have finally returned!"

The boys adjusted the controls to make them go a bit faster, and everyone was enthusiastic for a chance to really rest in relative safety. However, as they floated closer, the Djinn's warning echoed in his mind, carrying a sense of dread with it.

<Just for your information, I sense more than 20 people bearing the Sky Realm rank in the town>

Those are definitely not the Arkhangelsk resident, who are they?
