Chapter 4356 4358 [Nirvana Sutra]

Chapter 4356 4358 [Nirvana Sutra]

Jingnian Zen Temple has a set of ascetic practices that can enable one to achieve nirvana and attain Buddhahood in the flesh.

However, the practice is extremely difficult. One needs to constantly drink poisonous water, go without food, and temper one's spirit in extreme pain, so that one's spirit can be sublimated.

In the play, Master Yixin cultivated himself to become a Buddha through this method. Although his body was destroyed, his mind remained in the world. This shows how powerful his spirit was.

So Xiang Nan wanted to obtain this martial arts technique to hone his spiritual will.

So he quietly sneaked into the Jingnian Zen Monastery and searched the monastery carefully, including the Sutra Library, the Abbot's Room, the Great Hall, and the dormitories of other monks.

After finally gaining nothing, they came to the Jingxin Bronze Palace where Master Yixin was in seclusion.

To be honest, he didn't want to disturb Master Yi Xin unless it was necessary.

Because this master really has a deep knowledge of Buddhism and is compassionate, he is not a villain like the four great bandits of the Demon Sect and the shadow swordsman Yang Xuyan.

So after considering it, Xiang Nan decided to ask for the scriptures sincerely first, and then think of other ways if he couldn't get it.

……

Xiang Nan then came to the Jingxin Bronze Temple and used the power of his mind to make a request to Master Yi Xin in the temple.

The so-called power of thought is actually mental power.

Master Yi Xin is the greatest grandmaster in the world. His martial arts skills are even better than those of Zhu Yuyan, Shi Zhixuan, Fu Cailin and others. Naturally, his mental power is also very strong.

Although Xiang Nan's mental strength was not as good as his, it was not too difficult for him to contact Master Yi Xin using the power of his mind.

As the saying goes, where there is sincerity, even metal and stone will be opened.

Xiang Nan asked Master Yixin to borrow his hard practice method, "Master Yixin, my name is Kou Zhong. I once worked with your disciple Master Liaokong to search for the Heshi Jade and help Master Feixuan, a disciple of Cihang Jingzhai, resolve the evil in her body.

Now I want to learn the arduous training methods of your temple, sharpen my spirit, and refine my martial arts. I hope the master can help me."

A moment later, a thought came into Xiang Nan's mind.

"I have heard about the matter of Donor Kou from my humble disciple. I admire your great benevolence, righteousness, wisdom and courage.

Although the Nirvana Sutra is a secret of the temple, it is not forbidden to be spread outside. It is just that this skill is too difficult to practice, which leads practitioners to go astray and damage their bodies, so it is kept secret in the temple.

Since Mr. Kou sincerely asks for the sutra, I will pass on the "Nirvana Sutra" to you. I hope you will take good care of it and don't force it." That thought rang in Xiang Nan's mind, and then there was an additional exercise in his mind, which was the "Nirvana Sutra" secretly passed down by the Jingnian Zen Temple.

"Thank you, Master, for teaching me the scriptures. I will definitely practice well." Xiang Nan said gratefully, then jumped away.

……

After returning to the villa, Xiang Nan locked himself in a secret room and meditated on the Nirvana Sutra. He realized that this method was indeed a way to sharpen the spirit through hard training.

Buddhists believe that the physical body is nothing more than a smelly skin bag, which is fragile, weak, smelly, dirty, filled with filth inside, and excrement and urine outside. Therefore, Buddhist practice emphasizes abandoning the seven emotions and six desires, overcoming the fear of life and death, transcending cause and effect, and reaching the state of Nirvana.

Nirvana is the highest realm of Buddhist practice. It transcends all suffering and happiness, cuts off desires and worries, is not affected by cause and effect, and achieves a supreme happiness and liberation.

The Nirvana Sutra is a method of practice that helps people reach the state of Nirvana. It is said to be the way to liberation passed down by the Buddha. However, because the practice process is too arduous, even the monks of the Jingnian Zen Temple have not been able to achieve it until now.

However, after reading it, Xiang Nan thought that although the training process was very hard, it was still acceptable. So in the following time, he also began to practice hard.

His ascetic training was even more intense than Master Yixin's. Master Yixin drank poisonous water and stopped eating, which was indeed miserable. But for Xiang Nan, these were difficult to work. Because his internal strength was too deep, even the most poisonous poison in the world would be like eating jumping beans to him. Just like Zhou Botong gargling with poisoned wine, it was really hard to find a poison that could make him suffer so much that he wanted to die.

Moreover, his martial arts could automatically absorb the energy of heaven and earth, so even if he stopped eating, he would not feel hungry, and naturally he would not feel pain.

So in order to hone himself, Xiang Nan made magic potions for himself, no matter how painful and desperate it was.

It just so happened that he inherited Snape's knowledge of potions, and also learned a large amount of potions himself, so he was very good at making potions that brought pain and despair to people.

……

After the pain potion was prepared, Xiang Nan took a sip.

As soon as it entered his mouth he felt as if he had swallowed a razor blade, or as if a red-hot iron had been stuffed into his mouth. Intense pain instantly ran through his body, making him tremble with pain.

Immediately after he swallowed the potion, his internal organs began to twitch violently, as if a monkey was doing somersaults in his stomach, tangling his internal organs and large and small intestines together.

Xiang Nan tried his best to endure the pain, sat cross-legged on the ground, and silently recited the Nirvana Sutra.

"All living things in the world will eventually die.

Although life is infinite, it must eventually come to an end.

What goes up must decline, what comes together must separate.

The prime of life soon ceases, and the disease of youth invades.

Life is swallowed up by death, and there is no permanent law.

……

Now that I have entered Nirvana, it is like a fire being extinguished.

Cunda, you should not ponder the meaning of the Tathagata.

When you view the Tathagata’s abode, it is like Mount Sumeru.

I now enter Nirvana, and experience the first bliss.

The Dharma of all Buddhas is like this, and one should not cry again. "

As he chanted the Nirvana Sutra, Xiang Nan felt his pain slowly dissipate. His spirit seemed to gradually leave his body, no longer tormented by the pain of his body.

This feeling is very wonderful, a bit like what Taoists call "the soul leaving the body", but for Buddhists it should be called "sitting in meditation and entering a state of concentration".

The so-called "sitting in meditation and entering concentration" means that no thoughts arise, which is called sitting, and seeing the original nature without confusion is called meditation; not being attached to external appearances is called meditation, and not being confused inside is called concentration. The external meditation and internal concentration are called meditation, which means that you will be suddenly enlightened and return to your original mind.

In short, in this state, Xiang Nan's sense of his surroundings became clearer and clearer.

He could smell tiny scents, hear faint sounds, and even feel the extremely subtle air flow in the secret room...

However, this feeling is currently limited to an area of several dozen feet.

Given time, his range will reach hundreds or thousands of feet, and even the whole world will be sensed by his thought. Then he will truly become a god.

Because of this, Xiang Nan became more and more enthusiastic in his training.

In addition to taking potions, he also cast spells on himself, such as "Crucia", "Curse of Pain", and "Curse of Despair". These spells could also bring him extreme pain and train his spirit and will.

Although his body was in great pain, he was able to survive because he knew many magical skills, such as Rama's magical skills, forbearance magical skills, as well as powerful healing spells and heavenly fragrant cardamom.

Therefore, no matter how seriously injured he is, he can be resurrected with full health, so he doesn't need to train himself to death like Master Yi Xin did.
