Taoists believe that the center of the eyebrows is the upper Dantian, also known as the "Niwan Palace" and the "Primordial Spirit Palace". The Niwan Palace must be visited when practicing internal energy. The "Quanzhen Daojing" says that "Niwan is spinning rapidly on the top of the head".

Buddhism also believes that the center of the eyebrows is very important. Many Buddha and Bodhisattva statues have a white mark between their eyebrows, which Buddhists call the "white mark between the eyebrows", symbolizing compassion and wisdom.

However, Tantric Buddhism believes that there is a Ajna Chakra between the eyebrows, which is the gathering place of the three meridians of left, middle and right, and is of vital importance.

In many civilizations such as ancient Egypt, ancient Greece, ancient Nordic, Persia, Maya, Inca, Aztec, etc., the brow center is also very important.

For example, the ancient Egyptian sun god Ra had a third eye between his eyebrows, which was called the "Eye of Ra". Later, Ra merged with Horus, so this eye was also called the "Eye of Horus", which had the function of distinguishing good from evil and protecting health and happiness.

In Christian mythology, God also has a third eye, called the "all-seeing eye", which represents that God is always watching over humans.

Therefore, the swelling between Xiang Nan’s eyebrows is not a bad thing but a good thing.

Xiang Nan didn't care, and continued to practice hard to temper his spirit. His eyebrows beat more and more violently, and the bulge became stronger and stronger, as if something was about to burst out from under his skin.

Finally, there was a "swish" sound, and a crack appeared between Xiang Nan's eyebrows, but unexpectedly, no blood flowed out.

The gap became bigger and deeper. It started out as just a shallow crack, but as his eyebrows throbbed, the crack grew bigger and bigger.

Finally, a hole appeared between Xiang Nan's eyebrows, and the bones, muscles, blood vessels, nerves and brain inside could be seen.

Then a group of muscles, blood vessels, nerves, etc. quickly gathered and merged, and in a moment an eyeball grew out and embedded in the hole between the eyebrows, fitting perfectly, as if it had been there since birth.

At this moment, Xiang Nan suddenly raised his hand and dug the third eye hard. Then he endured the huge pain and dug out the eyeball.

The reason why Xiang Nan wanted to dig out the third eye that he had cultivated with great difficulty was because the third eye he cultivated was just a heavenly eye.

Buddha said that there are five kinds of eyes: physical eyes, heavenly eyes, wisdom eyes, Dharma eyes and Buddha eyes. Among them, ordinary people have physical eyes, which can only see things in front of them. But the heavenly eyes can ignore distance and see all kinds of things far and near, up and down, front and back, inside and outside.

A wise eye can see through all visible and invisible things in the world, including worldly affairs and human hearts, so there are idioms such as "a wise eye to recognize people", "a wise eye as sharp as a torch", "a unique eye for wisdom", etc.

The Dharma Eye can see clearly all the Dharmas of the world, the six realms of reincarnation, the past and the future, the cycle of cause and effect, and can see through all illusions. The Buddha Eye is the highest level of eyes. The world is in the eyes, the past and the future are all under control. It does not enter the cycle of reincarnation, and does not destroy cause and effect...

After two years of practice, Xiang Nan only developed one third eye.

Although it can see all kinds of things, far and near, up and down, front and back, inside and outside, the heavenly eye is still the heavenly eye, and is far inferior to the wisdom eye.

So Xiang Nan would rather endure the pain and replace his heavenly eye with his wisdom eye.

This process was so painful that he trembled all over and almost fainted, but he still managed to stay strong and insisted on pressing the Mountain of Light diamond between his eyebrows.

Immediately afterwards, Xiang Nan fainted completely.

And while he was unconscious, the muscles, blood vessels, nerves and skin between his eyebrows slowly recovered and tightly wrapped the Mountain of Light diamond.

An unknown amount of time had passed, but when Xiang Nan woke up, he saw that the Mountain-of-Light diamond had already died between his eyebrows.

Moreover, it was no longer the pure and flawless diamond it had been before. There were actually traces of blood inside, and a blurred pupil... just like an eyeball with cataracts.

This eyeball is useless now and cannot see anything at all, but Xiang Nan knows that with time, this Mountain of Light diamond will truly become his eyes and eventually allow him to have the same power as Shiva.

Of course, refining this wisdom eye is not an easy task and requires a lot of time and energy.

Fortunately, Xiang Nan has all of these.

After looking at it for a long time, Xiang Nan closed his third eye.

As the third eye closed, the skin between the eyebrows healed, and there was no sign of anything unusual.

In this way, no one knew that Xiang Nan actually had a third eye.
