Chapter 1252 The blue and white crown of all dynasties, revered by the world

The pearl material belongs to the top grade in the whole domestic green material.

However, if you want to fire emerald blue, even pearly materials need to be carefully selected.

It is also processed by advanced calcination method, so that it is possible to burn emerald hair color, that is, emerald hair blue.

There are too many things that can be manipulated here, so it is really not so easy to burn into emerald blue.

In Chen Wenzhe's view, the key to everything is actually the pearl material.

Generally, the hair color of blue and white is due to the action of the coloring agent.

So what temperature is reached, what kind of blue will the blue and white material show.

Now the temperature is not constant, so it can only show that the blue and white material should have changed.

Otherwise, why wouldn't all of the same pearl materials be fired into emerald blue under the same high temperature?

Pearl material is an extremely commonly used blue and white material.

Especially after the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, pearl materials were gradually used as the main green materials.

Pearl materials are rich in iron and other elements, and how to deal with these pearl materials requires modern detection methods.

This kind of technology did not exist in ancient times, so the ancient craftsmen could only rely on the sky to eat and luck to get emerald blue porcelain.

Therefore, in ancient times, pearl materials were mostly used for ornamental works, and it was rare for them to be used for landscape painting.

Because of the high difficulty of painting and the unsatisfactory firing effect, not many people dare to try this way.

And firing emerald blue has always been the ultimate pursuit of every craftsman.

It has a long-standing reputation for its pure glaze, green hair color, diverse shapes, and beautiful decorations, which is incomparable to blue and white porcelain in all dynasties of the Qing Dynasty.

Therefore, there are two kinds of blue and white porcelain in history, which are the crown of blue and white porcelain in all dynasties.

One is Xuande blue and white, and the other is Kangxi emerald blue.

Since it is so precious and difficult to burn, why do there seem to be so many emerald blue works now?

In fact, many of them are not emerald blue, but ocean blue.

Those who are new to blue and white porcelain are often confused about the emerald blue of Kangxi and the foreign blue of the late Qing Dynasty.

They all seem to be about the same color, almost indistinguishable.

Ocean blue was an imported material in the late Qing Dynasty, and its blue color was also all the rage.

Ocean blue is very bright, but its color appears to float on the porcelain glaze!

Especially the color, there is no sense of layering, just a pool of bright blue.

Ocean blue is a chemical material imported from developed countries such as Germany and Neon in the middle and late Qing Dynasty.

It should be analytically pure or chemically pure cobalt oxide, although the color is blue to purple.

But because it is very pure, there are no impurities and particles in the natural mineral material Sumaliqing, and there is no rust spot.

Yanglan is commonly known as "foreign material". It is distributed by Chayushun Pigment Store in Jingzhen, and the famous brand is "Mohe".

Because ocean blue is cheap and "good quality", it is welcomed by the market.

The domestic green material (pearl material) is at a disadvantage in the market competition, and it is getting worse and worse, gradually fading out of the Jingzhen underglaze decoration material market.

Only bodiless and powdered manufacturers still use pearl materials.

For beginners, ocean blue is more likely to be confused with Sumaliqing, Huiqing and Pearl in terms of color (color sense).

Because the colors of the four are all blue and purple.

If you look carefully, they still have significant differences.

This is because of the different origins of the green materials, the different elements contained in the green materials are high or low, so their hair colors are rich and colorful.

The Sumali green material used in the "Zhizheng" Yuan blue and white, the Huiqing material used in the Jiajing, Longqing and Wanli dynasties of the Ming Dynasty, and the "Yanglan" used in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China are all imported materials.

Su material has a high iron content, and "rust spots" appear on the glaze surface after firing.

However, Huiqing and Yanglan have no "rust spots".

Their coloration has the phenomenon of blue-medium pan-purple.

However, Su material is slightly purple, green and beautiful, and the back cyan is heavier but pure, calm and attractive.

The hair color of the pearl material is blue and beautiful, and it is easy to be confused with the ocean blue, but the pearl material is pure and stable;

The "ocean blue" color is too gaudy and inelegant, and the blue and white flowers float on the glaze surface, which feels like rushing towards the face.

Huiqing materials were imported by the government and used only in official kilns during the Jia, Long and Wan dynasties of the Ming Dynasty.

There are records of its strict control in the literature, but it still continues to flow into the folks and use it in blue and white kilns.

Especially during the six years of the Longqing Dynasty, the imperial kiln factory only had one task of firing official kiln wares.

Therefore, a lot of Huiqing materials flow into folk kilns.

In the same way, it also proves that Huiqing artifacts are not all official kiln artifacts.

The method of comparative identification of green materials is very important, and it is also the basic skill of collectors.

Mastering the creation time and use year (interval) of various colored materials is very helpful for us to judge the authenticity and dating of porcelain.

Yanglan was only invented in the middle and late Qing Dynasty. If there is Yanglan in the decoration of a piece of porcelain signed by Qing Shunzhi or Ming Dynasty, it can be judged as a fake.

Modern collectors don't like foreign blue wares, of course there are also high-quality blue and white porcelain made of foreign blue.

For example, some finely made and elegantly crafted small pieces of foreign blue materials in the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China have become more and more popular among collectors.

Besides, Kangxi emerald blue, it is very deep blue, with a strong sense of layering.

Some even reach the level of a wave, layer by layer.

And its handwriting is very clear and bright, even the handwriting as thin as a cow's hair is still clearly visible.

And the hair color is shallow and sinks under the glaze, light and bright, and there is no sense of halo.

This is also an important reason why the production of emerald blue depends on luck.

The more delicate the strokes, the higher the requirements for blue and white hair color, because more or less blue and white, there is a phenomenon of fainting.

Therefore, the fired emerald blue often presents a magical effect, which is close to the rendering effect of ink color on rice paper in traditional Chinese painting.

This kind of blue color scale also forms multiple steps, which can even fully express the chapping method in painting.

This can be seen from the decoration of the Kangxi blue-and-white landscape figure pattern cover cylinder in the Forbidden City.

If you unfold it, it is a wonderful painting of traditional Chinese painting.

Let's explain Dai Xuande's Sumali green material, its dizzying effect is exactly the opposite.

To some extent, the blue and white blue and white of Xuande in the late Qing Dynasty have a bit of posture.

But it is not as dizzy as Xuande blue and white, and where the love is strong, there are tin and black spots like rust.

If you look at it with a light in the dark, only the word "beautiful" can describe it.

That's what makes it amazing and exciting.

It can be said that Xuande blue and white is simple, rich and vicissitudes of life, sapphire blue is famous all over the world, while Kangxi's emerald blue is bright and elegant, like the clear sky in autumn.

These two kinds of blue-and-white porcelain are the crown of blue-and-white porcelain in all dynasties, and are revered all over the world.

It is not easy to imitate such a fine blue and white porcelain.

Especially for Chen Wenzhe, it was not easy to find some shortcuts, let alone others.

In other words, even if we searched from the Suihou Pearl, we couldn't find an accurate method of processing the pearl material.

This time, he can only use his previous experience to present the cobalt oxide hair color in the pearl material.
